Actually if used, Orguss would have been the THIRD section of Robotech. It's been rumored that Tatsunoko offered it and HG had an option on it when they needed to expand out Macross to meet the 65 episodes requirements, but they chose instead to use a show that HG bought before Macek came along about this show he liked called Macross.... Robotech over Macross easy, as I hate the vocal tracks of both shows. Pretty much only one Macross track, the dramatic tension/fighting music I can stomach. I listen constantly to the Macross Plus OSTs though... Cyc

Not to be mister cynic, but they also said the SP Shadow Fighter would be too. it was very close... but not perfect. For the price paid, I was willing to let it slide, but the higher price point of the MPCs I'd be less likely to do that. At any rate things change, look at the diecast MPC VF-1 debates or for a more recent example ADV's claims that RT Remastered would include subs... Cyc

MPC Cyclones? Given the fact that they won't be released until after a possible MPC Beta, probably far too early for facts, just guesses. Such as like the Alphas, Toynami will probably toy-ify the transformable Imai kits instead of using the large Gakken toy. The clicher will be to see how Toynami handle the Shadow Fighter, as that might provide clues to see if they will go the extra mile to make them true instead of earlier head-swap versions, which may indicate if they will make a Rooky type Cyclone, unable to use the much of the stock Cyclone parts the other three styles use. SP Cyclones? All we have is the roof banner annoucing them, no pictures, nothing else. Rumored they were to be released after the New Gen I-men, which appear to have missed their last reported Northern Winter 2003 release date, so it's all unknowns. At least until Toy Fair... Cyc

other than packaging difference (same box but with japanese writing?) what are the expected/rumoured differences between the two? Mostly release date, though price and if the Mospeada versions will be a "limited edition" release like the MPC Alpha are still unknown. The production run is the real thing, will Toynami produce both lots all at once or will they wait until the US requirements are met before doing the Japanese market versions? Benefit of later release for Mospeada versions is QC might jump. Yeah I'm living in hope, but what options do I have... Cyc

silly question but what mospeada versions? as an rt mod isn't it your duty to be supporting the cells? Let's just say actions speak louder than word, so if I end up getting them even if I bad mouth 'em... Still so little word on the Mospeada versions it;'s scary, to the point I fear that they won't come out until AFTER their Robotech brothers. Might be nicer for my wallet, but rather annoying for others. Cyc

Yep, the Alpha Fighter from Robotech aka Legioss Armo-Fighter from Genesis Climber Mospeada never appeared in Macross. But many Macross fans are friendly to the design because they came up through Robotech or they just like transformable mecha toys of that era. Some are even more Mospeada fans than Macross ones....
