Well the 15 minute flight went pretty smooth. It was kind of like being in an amusement park ride except much higher up, in an enclosed cabin and a bit louder (the three piston engines though it was tollerable). It was interesting to see the city of Lincoln from overhead; the Husker game against Ball State had just ended and I could see all the traffic leaving Memorial Stadium and the eastbound traffic heading to Omaha was just totally backed up from airport onwards. This particular Trimotor is one of like 18 surviving aircraft and only a handful of those are still flying. Something like 199 or so were manufactured around 1929-1930. This particular aircraft has quite a bit of history to it having been used in Cuba, served as Air Force One for the Dominican Republic, was used in the Jerry Lewis movie "The Family Jewels", fought forest fires, and was used as a crop duster. From 1965-1973, the owner flew it across the country offering rides to the public. In 1973 it was severely damaged by a tornado or thunderstorm. The EAA bought the aircraft and spent the next 12 years rebuilding the aircraft. From 1985-1991, it was mainly a museum piece and only flew occasionally. From 1991 forward it has been doing these public flights. Halo 3 reviews are rolling in. Looks like it's living up to it's hype. The more I see about the Forge mode, looks like that's going to be loads of fun. This afternoon I paid off the remainder of what was owed on my Legendary Edition and I picked up a Master Chief t-shirt (seems to be styled off of the Guns N' Roses Appetite for Destruction album cover) and another Halo 3 faceplate (comes with a system skin). Will be back to Gamestop tomorrow night.

Regarding the Iranian "Lightning", the Iranian Lightning is to the F-5 as Robotech is to Macross! 'Nuff said.

Let's see, I saw Space Shuttle Atlantis just a little over two months ago, I have seen multiple SR-71's (including when they were still in service) and the AFM's YF-12 and the A-12 that was in Minneapolis (while in was in Minneapolis and then when it was shipped here to Nebraska), and Bock's Car. But if I could someday get to the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum, I would.

I've gotten in like 34 hours myself. I went the opposite direction then you did and worked on getting Amuro up to level 30 and then spending the time getting all of the skills for him. It about drove me nuts playing Amuro's missions over and over again.

Yeah some companies are worse then others. Obviously Nintendo themselves are going to put out some truly 1st class material and some others out there do a decent job and as time goes by better uses of the Wii's motion sensitive controllers will occurr. But for now, a lot of stuff on the Wii appears to be just after thoughts by some of these game companies to make a quick buck off of the Wii's popularity... the new Cruis'n game by Midway is one of best examples and biggest offenders.

I was DC back in June 1993 (yikes, that was 14 years ago already!) though I didn't get to see the Smithsonian. The one place I would really like to fly to would be Dayton to see the Air Force Museum again. It was on the same trip to DC that was also the last time that I got to be at the Air Force Museum. Would really like to go back there so I can see the Tacit Blue, Bird of Prey, YF-22, and the B-2 structural test bed in person.

I was going to trade in my PS2 Guitar Hero I this evening for about $38 in store credit (game and guitar together) to pay for most of the remainder on my Legendary Edition. When I brought into work this morning for safe keeping, my boss expressed a strong interest in it so I sold it to her for $40. Gotta figure out what else to maybe trade in while Gamestop's still offering all these trade in specials.

My comment about the Wii was legit. Ever since the system came out, so many of the games (by many of the 3rd party companies, not just Lucas Arts) have been watered down versions of games that look light years better on the 360 and PS3 and the only stand out is that they have the Wiimote functions tacked on.

The Gamestop I'm getting my Halo 3 at is opening their doors back up for business at 11:00 on Monday night and are going to be processing as many people's orders as they can so that when midnight rolls around, all they have to do is start handing the game out. The store I'm getting mine at has 300 preorders and they're expecting about half of those to show up for the midnight release. This will be the first time in 7 years (the PS2 release) that I will be getting a game or system at a midnight launch. Swore I was done with such wackiness. As for DW Gundam, looks like I just need to beat Official mode as one more person (Haman). Hopefully I can get most of this game beat before next Monday night.

Would have been more interest if the monkey's owner was Deiter (Mike Meyers) from Saturday Night Live's "Sprockets" skit; Deiter would be telling Solid Snake, "Touch my monkey, TOUCH IT!". Also, good to see the PS3 is no longer "gimped". Of course who didn't see it coming that the Sixaxis with rumble would be named Dualshock 3?

Yeah, yeah... Seriously I'll try to find an excuse to get on an airliner somwehere one of these days.

We're talking about the Nintendo Wii so what more could be expected?

It's just been the case that I've never needed to go anywhere by plane. Last Saturday a guy I know who works for Duncan Aviation in Lincoln gave me a flyer promoting that Trimotor being in Lincoln and giving rides over a four day period. I looked at the site this morning and decided that now was my big chance. I've had some previous opportunities to maybe go flying, but nothing panned out.

Lala is in the Solomon stage when you play as either Amuro or Char. Virtually all the major characters are present in their respective scenes so it just seemed odd that Sayla got axed especially at the end of Solomon because of her distracting Char he nearly killed her in turn nearly getting him killed which of course resulted in Lala's death.

Just a few questions about Dynasty Warriors Gundam. 1) When I played through as Amuro, I continued playing as him over and over again in order to get the 30 Pilot Level and the all skills achieved achirements. During the process, I maxed out the Gundam, Zeta, Mark II, and Char's Gelgoog. After doing that, I've gone through and played as Char and I almost have Kamille's missions beat (BTW this all being in Official Mode). When I started out with Char's Gelgoog while playing with Char, it looked like the Gelgoog was eqipped with all the accessories that I earned for it while playing as Amuro. Same for the Mark II and Zeta when I played with Kamille. So do items earned by other pilots carry over to the other characters? 2) No hide nor hair of Sayla Mass. Was this because of the death of her voice actress a few years ago in Japan? Didn't Bright Noa's VA (also the voice of Kaifun on Macross) die before this game was made, but yet he's in the game??? Props to Bandai here in the US for rehiring so many of the voice actors for many of the Gundam series. It was nice to have the actors from the TV series and Char's Counterattack now properly dub their characters (namely Char and Bright) for the Zeta portions of the game unlike what happened with the Zeta DVD release.

I think the Elite transfer kit automatically wipes the other hard drive clean. I thought I heard there are some kits out there that let you back up your game info onto a PC or onto a portable USB hard drive? Otherwise probably the best thing to do is get one of the 360 memory cards. Maybe search the xbox.com forums?

Yeah I agree, the first movie is the true Highlander. For the most part I thoroughly enjoyed the TV series for a few seasons (it was also my inititial exposure to the Highlander universe), but the first movie is truly a cult classic. But with all the various movie sequels, TV series, anime, etc., it's unfortunate that no consistent story line, origin, or set of rules has been established for the Highlander universe. Perhaps it would have been best if the first Highlander movie would have been it.

Maybe there is a newer transparency for the F-22's canopy that's being tested out. The gold tinting is a RCS reducing measure to prevent radar from bouncing around the cockpit; the cockpit on most aircraft tends to be one of the biggest RCS sources. Maybe a new tinting is being put to use. But then again the combination of material and that the shape of the canopy is designed for a lower RCS to begin with, even the slightest change in position could effect the visual appearance and transparency of the cockpit.

Does your new Premium come with the HDMI port? Do you need one? If you were wanting to get the Elite for its larger hard drive, how about just buying the 120GB drive by itself?
