  1. I don't think so, as there is a two seat model of the EF-2000, so no reason to photo chop in a second seat.
  2. Nice I know there was some talk in the earl-mid 90's concerning using A-10s as fire tankers, since they would be more responsive, reliable and able to make more percise drops then current tankers.
  3. IIRC those were some drawings that SK did for Character model a few months back, check the magazine archive I think they are still there.
  4. And your prize on the wheel of fish, a lifetime supply of Tuna, all in one fish.
  5. Has to be a joke, besides you don't measure aircraft usage in mileage, but in hours that are on the engine and airframe. Besides the Apache is a current usage aircraft in the US arsenal and only rarely do they release anything of the sort for civilian sales. Heck even most museum aircraft are just "on loan."
  6. The lower fins do fold during the approach, the upper fins stay extended until after its landed, except in the case of a capture claw retrieval where they all fold up after capture. The thrusters will eventually take on a sort of burnt bronze color, just enough to make them stand out against the main hull, but I am not at that phase yet.
  7. Why oh why do uniform cosplayers always insist on using the wrong fragging materials? That Hikaru uniform might have looked decent if he had used actual uniform materials.
  8. Just noticed you also gave the wing leading edge a cranked arrow planform, normally I like that kind of styling and it is a bit of an aerodynamic improvement, but... The redone angle ruins the slat deployment as now the slats of the two leading edges will hit each other.
  9. Kind of a pointless photochop IMHO. The eurofighter has a canard normally, you just chopped them off and slipped them to the underside of the intake. And, at that angle they would most assureadly strike the ground upon landing, very bad idea. You also appear to have redo the trailing edges to give it a "stealthy" appearance, ugly and unnecessary IMHO. Sorry to be a downer but there is no value in the modifications made in this photochop, the skill in making it is obviously higher then what I could do but still the concept is bad.
  10. Small update, paneled the fins and figured out their rotation tomorrow I will start on the landing gear. Once those are in I will start detailing the rest of the fighter. Here is a quick preview of it in landed configuration, fins folded. C&C?
  11. Man that game looks so beautiful, too abd they won't release it to the PC.
  12. Small update and the return of the mirror plane, lol. Basically I just added the manuevering thrusters today, not much time for more. I will do the fins next, detail them and add control surfaces, as well as the wing control surfaces. I need to do this now becuase those fins fold of landing and I need to have their landing position established before I start on the landing gear, which will be wing mounted, the mains that is. C&C are always welcome.
  13. the Millia's Helmet looks very good from the one picture, but the flight suit, well I can tell how she made it from a suit much larger,a t least length wise then she needed. The crotch sits way too low and is a dead give away, obviously she got a jump suit, lycra maybe, one size too large and extra long, chopped and dyed it, or used two. I applaud the effort but the result is the low crotch. It would have also looked nicer if she had forgone the heels, sorry but they are stupid in a flight or combat suit, and actually modeled the belt buckle onto a real belt. She obviously has some talent though, so if she put some more time and effort into it I bet she could turn out a really good one. That VF-1J makes me giggle, obviously he put a lot of effort into it and has some skills but the execution leaves something to be desired. The hikaru, well he looks to have used a painters smock for the base and then he didn't build up the rest of the suit, if he had it might have looked better, but it would have taken a lot more work.
  14. Can't wait to see the pcitures. I like the Gaincorp line, their SU-27 is great don't get me wrong but that whole LERX issue on the Canarded flankers just bugs me to no end, kind of like all the early MiG-29 toy's models that got the front end all wrong.
  15. I'm not so sure about that DH, I mean the Su-33 still has the wrong LERX, what makes you think that they will now og back and retool to get the correct LERX?
  16. For now I am going with the single large missile, I have made basic models of the pallets and here they are mounted with the ordnance on them.
  17. Ok, decision time, before I proceed further I need to decide what missile I am going to mount as this beast's long range ordnance. I said before I am considering either a single large long range missile, ala the Phoenix, or a booster pack that carries three standard fire and forget rounds that it releases at range. This picture shows the two new missiles with a comparison of a standard SAM-273-A missile. I appreciate any comments on this. Likely this missile will be externally mounted on the wings, fuselage or missile pack using something similar to the Phoenix pallet. This will probably be the only fighter to carry this round.
  18. Nice, I'm assuming that the arms and legs can swing back to flight position?
  19. I like the Gaincorp line, but can't stand their super/sea flankers for two majors reasons: 1) except for the Su-34 the LERX are all wrong, they look like they just made a quick add on peice of the enlarged LERX and canard. As a result the LERX is too thin and just looks cheesy. 2) again except for the Su-34 the tail boom is wrong. This is not as evident on super flanker, but the Sea flanker is suppossed to have a truncated slightly upward angled tail boom. Other then that they are very nice, but if I am going to spend that kind of money on a model I want at least the major features to be much more accurate then that,
  20. It's endo-exo atmospheric, with and emphasis on the exo-atmospheric. You are probably asking that because of the missile tubes, they will eventually have end covers that pop off prior to missile firing limiting drag, and then after firing when in atmosphere the air will just flow through them out the exhaust vents, yet to be added. The design is also suppossed to be older then the other fighter by a couple decades or more so that might also explain the look of it, but i would liken it more to the SR-71 in appearance then the F-104.
  21. Update time: Not much this time just deleted the top intake and put sensor pods on the fins. Opus: I think one of the reason it looks slower is the angle of the picture, I changed that. That top intake also contriubuted to the slow appearance and possibly the smaller retro thrusters, not as SR-71 spiky now. Mechmaster: i ditched the top intake, think it looks much better, it really wasn't needed anymore anyway. It still needs something in my opinion, trying to figure out what is a pain though. The next step will be designing the long range missiles it will carry in addition to the standard missiles it already holds. I am debating between two concepts: 1) a booster missile with three regular missiles attached that seperate once the booster is expended, or 2) a single large long range missile, something akin to the Phoenix.
  22. So when does she get her plush, babies first valkyrie? lol
  23. Ok, changed the central intakes. I was feeling that high middle one at first, liked it, but it was too small, so I added the two side intakes, now the question is do I keep all three or just the side ones, as they are large enough on their own?
  24. I added the intakes, but I'm just not feeling those fuselage intakes so will likely redo them.
  25. I find the F-22s whole gun arrangement distateful, like most of its weapons deployment, way too complex with too much to wrong. They could have much more easily incorporated a single barrel 30mm cannon without the need for the complex door system and still retain the stealth characterics. Anyway back on topic, I've added on the overhead docking mounts and vertical fins, i will add sensor pods to them like on the Splicer 5000. The fins will fold in for landing on space carriers to limit the space required to keep it. Next up I will redo the intakes and retro thrusters and add intakes for the central engine, no retroes there though, so this beast will slow down slower then it accelerates. After that I will start in on the thruster packs, which will cover this beast.
