After looking at the images again of all 3 modes... I think more than the nose being short, it's actually the back being over sized to compensate for the legs in plane mode. Definitely looks like Bandai prioritize transformation, then battroid, while the rest is what it is once it transforms.

I get what you saying. Bandai's picture is taken so that everything around the central point is brought out as much as possible out of perspective, making the nose look smaller than what it is. Eventhough the nose looks shorter vs Yamato's, I don't believe that magazine image is a true indication of any proportions.

Lol. No. Angle's not similar (tip of red fin touches tail in first pic while in second no where near), and... focal point completely different.

Well relates to it as personal preferences are being mentioned. 🤷♂️ Which I started when saying Delta isn't memorable while liking Zero, something like that, to others feeling the opposite. -
But I have the original SDF dubbed. (Not Robotech) Well, it's fine for you, but not for others 🤣

You are right. The prototype does indeed look quite stubby even from other pictures of it, but from @Urashiman drybuild it looks right, albeit seems not as long as the DX (?). Eventually someone will compare it to the DX.

Dude, you've comparing it to a cell shaded render... But if we are going down that road, then shouldn't be a flat metallic orange with zero transparency?

Thanks!!! Really appreciate it. It's on my Xmas list!!! So it's all snap-fit minus the pilot? Only detail I'm critical about, is the orange of the canopy is too dark Would have have been great if they included a transparent clear option. Otherwise, loving what I'm seeing.

Plane and Gerwalk are my favorite modes, so yes, without the packs is more for tastes for this VF.

I only built the original release without SP now like 21 years ago (LOL, so long ago), and haven't had any joints issues that needed strengthening. Interesting, I wonder if it impacted those with the weight of the SP.
