Intriguing development! Imagine if they could do a 1/12 scale that would be around 1-1/2 feet tall and all the Sentinel cyclones could be stowed away.

R.I.P. Greg Hildebrandt (Brothers Hildebrandt)
graphic revolt replied to no3Ljm's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
That is sad. The Hilderbrandts are my first intro to illustration along with Stephen Hickman, Brom, Dave Dorman, Glenn Farby and Simon Bisley just to name a few. Their cover art has a flair of old time story telling which is why they've been a goto for fantasy art. It's unfortunate to know that he had passed due to complications to his heart medication which raises lots of questions for his family. I've had my malpractice inquiry for my mother's complication to a stroke medication and the hospital responsible for her sudden stroke is protected by the legal system. No lawyer would take my case because their might be no money it for them. These people need to be accountable to have it go on like this and they operate within our society with impunity. -
Blade Runner / Blade Runner 2049 - Collectibles
graphic revolt replied to no3Ljm's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
looks bigger than 1/48 and the detail looks nice for that scale. Small vehicles of the 80s I'm assuming. I can think of Knight Rider, Dukes of Hazard, James Bond Octopussy, A-Team, Escape from New York, Back to the Future, Miami Vice, Cannon Ball Run, Speed Racer, and this could go into areal vehicles Thunder Blade, Air Wolf, Last Star Fighter and any crazy niche to capture FOMO. I'm interested in this Spinner cuz it features switchblade style doors.- 16 replies

More & more I look at this promo, the more I see some AI shenanigan involved in making this busy looking design. I'm impressed with the engineering of the soldier figure but they stop me at the level where they completely lost the narrative of the design which was never sold as a part swapper. I have a 1/20 scale and they manage to make this without the half baked ready to serve the masses "schlop" of a toy! Thanks Toynami for not encouraging me to buy any of your products!

premium tampo printing as standard for every release and their premium would be variant colors such as low vis and all of the assorted schemes under the sun and I'd say NO to what every anniversary/commemorative garish variants they roll out. I'd say re-release the VF-11

I wonder if they're gonna sell the tread with the Legioss as a set along a stand alone version? Also the retracting landing gear on the front maybe something they've engineered to stowaway but I wonder how they will address the rear landing gears . What we've seen in the past was to part swap this complicated strut mechanism but given Sentinnel goes overboard with the transformation sequence I will be surprised if they can pull the magic rabbit out of their engineering hats.

Well that's off my wish list. Toynami got a hold of 3D printer and never bothered with the engineering dev on their future product, so I guess I'll have to thank Crunchyroll for assembling that Apple-like promo demo non-fomo!

Are the lil draken's included and are they going to be same color scheme?

No QC issues with mine. This super deformed fun time figure is the plastic crack that Bandai has hooked me on and I anticipate their interpretive representation of the rest of the Plus lineup.

Got the Yellow fever… and there are some improvements to the problematic rotating hinge associated to the gauntlets by the introduction of their earlier models but there are potential hinges that maybe prone to stress marks if not handled correctly. Not going to do a photo account for it but it is something that people may need to be aware of because this is not close to being “Toyific” I like the cargo panniers being a modular addition! Here are some toy porn for your eyes to feast on.

Milking this already tapped out cow is a flex for Bandai! Why not just give us the camouflage colors or a Low Viz but there are those who would want this bling'd out on the hood of their Escalades!

I like the stylized take and here's the "but" those fu¢k'n intakes are atrocious! Everything else looks like it went through the A-10 Warthog filter which is daring for Square's rendition. They really need take a second try on the intakes. If they could marry the VF-2SS 's intake layout then I might be captivated to purchase but for now it's a "hard pass" Sorry, a little too overdone. Take it back!

I wonder how much this plastic crack is gonna cost me?

Never keep them in the box. I learned my lesson with Beagle’s Ride Armor Stig (Scotty B) the red dye on the cloth had peeled away while it was still MIB. Some of my McFarlane Toys Mint on Card had yellowed over time and they were stowed away. So yeah no.

This HiMetal Orgroid packs a lot detail in such a small package. All of HiMetal lineup from the Dougram collection from several years back to all the Macross valks and destroids is a testament to Bandai’s commitment to the demands of the franchises respective fandom. Orguss is one of those obscure 80s animated series that makes you go WTF was that and seeing for the first time around the early oughts, I can appreciate its quirkiness and in respect of it’s world building aspects. Their 4 modes is unique especially the tank and seeing it depicted in their anime intro left me kinda baffled as to why you would sacrifice all the agility to a lumbering tank. Orguss Trailer I was anticipating for that mode to be a hover tank but rather than the animation team taking it as a literal tank never bothered taking the possibilities to “eleven” by replicating it like the Russian Ekranoplan which is a ground effect vehicle. It’s one of many of those WTF moments where they literally took the word cockpit and made the pilot sit in the robot’s codpiece. Lots of suggestive poses for the female pilots to present themselves while sitting in their vehicles and whatever tentacle like appendages protruding from the back of their heads to indicate some emotional state of which the character is undergoing at that moment. So, yeah the tank does not make sense to me and all of what was mentioned but I could appreciate the weirdness factor. With that said, the tank mode for the HiMetal series is the weakest out of the four when compared to Megahouse’s HiSpec which was rock solid. For one, the crucial difference is that the Megahouse version provided all of the tabs to secure the mode as well as an adapter for the stand to make this mode stable when compared compared to Bandai’s offering which offered no adapter for the stand.

Bandai needs to finish out the rest of the Macross Plus lineup like VF-11 Thunderbolt w/ fastpacks and booster pack during Isaumu's chase plane trying to keep pace with Guld's YF-21's areal trials.

I'm still waiting for Robotech's ride armor to have the rider mount on the bike. Will it look like the old Gakken where the rider is way oversized for the bike or does Harmony Gold / Toynami / Kitz Concepts whatever this cyclone is cuz it looks like a hodge podge of bits and pieces from here and there and applied over-exaggerated detail that makes the whole bike's appearance way too busy. It looks like a concept design that a student concocted and applied over the Gakken mold. Don't get me wrong, I might purchase one but if the build and finish is not there this will quickly become a one and done!

The best version of the Orgroid. At least the availability of this rendition are attainable when compared to their Takatoku counterpart. The box packaging is a chip off the old block but of course in this “Joey B economy” they had to replace the styrofoam and settle with a plastic tray. Really great version and I have the hi metal versions of it but these have a heft to them that makes them a cut above.

Thanks for the embarrassing open fly moment there! 😃 I blame my lack of sleep and now I have migraine having to complete the battroid mode. I thought this mode would be my least favorite after all the early pre/order reviews, I have a change of heart, all due to the robot mode’s rock solid build with a really aggressive appearance that really captures the stylized appearance from the anime. The backpack appears to be enormous but that is due to the flat appearance of the photos we’ve seen before its release. You have to see it live in person to really appreciate Bandai’s talented engineers to pull off a difficult design to maintain an aesthetically pleasing profile for ALL modes. Now the shoulders are a big concern and a video demo guide is surely due to be produced which will avoid all the early reports of breakage and identifying potential stress points. Thankfully none to be reported with this batch. Yeah I can see Bandai taking future portions of my pay stub by releasing M7 versions. Really rock solid product release possibly TOTY candidate! OK Bandai release the Thunderbolt!
