Yes, but due to their nature they don't get re-issues or re-releases often (there are an occasional few exceptions). There are several 1/72 offerings such as Moshow's Kampfer and McShow's Destiny, but out of 1/100 scale my favorites would be: Jiang Gao Sazabi - excellent paint quality, based on a resin kit for the MG Sazabi VerKa: https://showzstore.com/jianggao-model-1-100-msn-04-sazabi-metal-build-ver-ka_p1552.html Steel Legend Kshatriya - very solid figure with gimmicks and accessories, though the "added effect kit" needs some tooling to make work: https://showzstore.com/steel-legend-1-100-sl-01-nz-666-kshatriya_p0923.html This one sometimes has resissues. There is also a Metal Club one which is slightly smaller with different details but I prefer SL. Both are great though. HongLaJiao Sinanju - Decent paint and details but pretty subpar build quality compared to other Chinese robot figures. I don't think it's better than Metal Build but it's better than GFFMC Unicorn by far, at the very lease: https://showzstore.com/honglajiao-1-100-ms-10s-msn-06-sinanju_p1879.html There was a Tomemei Zeta but I read it was pretty shitty build quality so I passed on it - moot point now that the MB Zeta is coming out, I suppose. I'm sure there are other Chinese 1/100 equivalents (Moshow's last Gundam-related release was a 1/100 QanT right before Bandai released their MB version; not a KO as it was a completely original mold), but these are the ones I have and can recommend.

Oh, I didn't know Kampfer was limited release too. That's wild for a completely new mold. I haven't decided whether to keep either the original 00Q or 00Q FS, but if I decide to sell the latter I'll definitely let you know first. I'm currently planning to replace the original, but I've just been too lazy to open boxes... Great point and I agree a lot - Bandai make some exceptional figures. I really do like most of their new releases (not all of the re-used molds though) for the last couple years, and I think they've stepped up their game and even QC issues (after the well-known paint issues with Hi Nu). I'm more just venting about their business practices and how they decided to make Strike Noir and 00Q FS event exclusive. Especially for the latter, it's a slap in the face to owners of the original 00Q since the new backpack could have easily been provided as part of the accessory pack so we wouldn't need to purchase a brand new, event-exclusive figure.

Completely agree with this. Though Kampfer really did exceed my expectations, Bandai's business practices with OOQ FS and even Strike Noir really leave a bad taste in my mouth. Bandai seemed to try to claim that the backpack wouldn't be compatible, but a reviewer recently tried the FS backpack on the original QanT and it fit no problem. Really crappy move by them to not include the backpack in the FS accessory pack, even if the paint might not match 100%. I haven't opened my OOQ FS but this does frustrate me. Moshow doesn't really make figures I'm too interested in as I don't have attachment to their original IP (I sold most of my Progenitor Effect figures), but they had excellent quality. I'd say their QC and consistency is at the top of the Chinese super robot companies like CCS and Heatboys. CCS has wonderful presence but their latest releases have had really bad tolerances for some of the accessories or attachments, and their ankle joints can sometimes be weak as well. I liked their Mazinger Zero but the LED was useless since the touch sensor drained batteries within a week, the original Shin Getter had tons of QC issues, their new Shin Getter has inconsistent QC, etc. I still like them a lot but I agree Moshow has been the most consistent for me, except perhaps for Blitzway.

While I personally like the Providence way more than I initially expected, I also don't put it into crazy poses, haha. I didn't originally plan to get it, and it's probably not worth the after-market cost now, but Bandai did at least put some love into the paint and accessories. It's freakin heavy though and doesn't pose well without a stand due to that crazy backpack, but it does carry some nice shelf presence. On the same token, I completely agree that 40k yen seems perfectly reasonable for Zeta, though I've found it difficult to find at those prices (Yoyakunow is even marking it up 8k, which seems higher than their normal markup). Even so, I want this way more than Providence, and I think this is a perfectly reasonable price for it. The proportions don't particularly bother me, though I agree the head seems a TAD big - I don't think I would have noticed until I read this thread, haha! I personally prefer the MG Zeta 2.0 proportions the most, but I know often the designers have to make some concessions for the transforming gimmick. Considering I'll probably never transform the MB Zeta, I wish they just relied on parts-forming or something.... oh well. I'm a bit surprised that this transforms, to be honest. I thought one of the reasons why Tryon 3 (which was designed by the MB team from what I understand) switched from MB to SoC was so they could use less paint, as they were afraid the transformation gimmick would cause too much paint chipping. Either way, I'm very excited for this release, if I could simply find a pre-order. Hopefully it will be readily available just like Exia Devise and Hi Nu eventually were available everywhere. Thank you Bandai for not making this TWE lol.

From what I saw in a Korean preview, they said this figure was supposed to be Metal Build originally (hence all the stylized design choices instead of being slavishly toon accurate like much of Chogokin figures), but they backtracked late in the design because they felt the expected paint finish of Metal Build figures would not last due to all the transformation and combination gimimicks. This makes me think that they could release a ZZ Gundam based on this mold sinec it was already designed by the MB team, but whether it is announced as a Chogokin or a Metal Build depends on whether they are willing to add a quality paint finish, despite inevitable paint chipping. I personally hope they go ahead and paint it since I probably wouldn't transform/combine it more than once.

I paid 6134 yen on 2/27 for FedEx International shipping for MB Kampfer. I recently paid 3593 yen on 5/11 for FedEx International shipping for MB GN Arms D. Each arrived in 3-5 days. I think their shipping cost is very reasonable. On another note, what is so special about this new Dynames Saga? Not trying to be Debbie downer on it but I just don’t have any clue what 00 Saga is. Is this worth getting if I already have Dynames Repair 3 and Devise?

I'm weird but I actually prefer the old sculpt. The new sculpt looks better in some ways, but I miss the linkage when bending the knee, and my personal copy of Red Dragonics had loose knee armor which made me return it to PBandai/Bluefin.

Wow, didn't know the MS Sazabi is still available. Do you have any links for the MS Nu? I was never able to procure a pre-order and EntertainmentEarth cancelled my pre-order I still haven't had any luck finding a MS Nu. Really bummed as I should have just purchased the "original stock" at A-E that was briefly available but I was hoping I could snag a reissue.

I missed it too. Didn’t stay up to check cuz I thought preorders were not supposed to start until later this week. Im crossing my fingers and hoping A-E gets more stock later but not counting on it.

Thank you for the pics and measurements! I caved and bought one off Mandarake. Are you planning to get Type D as well?

Thanks I saw that and probably would have bought it but it's been sold out since I last checked (I had it on wishlist too so I assume I'd get a notification if it ever comes back in stock).

That’s awesome! I’m jealous. I even emailed PBandai to see if there’s any chance they’d have extra inventory but to no avail haha. I just hope I can find it on Mandarake for less than the $900 or so that Lunapark is quoting.

I know that TWE releases like Strike Noir will always demand crazy after market prices after release; what about PBandai releases like the GN Arms? I skipped on the pre-order initially due to lack of space, but I ordered a Moducase earlier this year and now I'm wishing I placed my pre-order. Will I just need to wait til it releases and check out Mandarake or AmiAmi for second hand orders? I'm gonna guess shipping will be astronomical haha.

Thanks for the heads up! I’ve never used these sites before so I’m unsure how to apply these discounts from buyee though and don’t see those cheap(ish) prices anymore.

True, but maybe they've been diverting their effort to things they've already announced like GN Arms and Deathscythe (though those seemed complete already in previews). Maybe Providence? I'm more upset that this Patchwork might be regular release while Strike Noir was TWE...

The brightness can be slightly controlled on the remote, but in all honesty it's quite bright even at the lowest setting. The higher settings just get even brighter, haha. I don't leave it on all the time, as I have it attached to a smart plug controlled by a separate lighting system, but my kids like to turn it on randomly or when they're reading in the living room. You can also have it on a "standby" mode where only the eyes are lit up (in fact, when you plug this into an outlet, the on/off button on the remote only turns off the funnel LEDs, but not the eyes).

I love the KOSMOS LED kits. I've used the kit for Barbatos and Nu, though I sold my Wing Zero one unfortunately. This company is improving a lot too - their first release for Barbatos didn't fit the best so I had to shave off some plastic, and it only powered on by battery. The remote was more bare bones as well. The Nu version (which I think is their 5th release) can be charged via battery or micro USB (so I have it always plugged in by smart plug), a more robust remote, and even a good app that you can use to customize lighting patterns and sync with music. The lighting options on the remote are more varied as well, with lots of different animations that can play in sequence. Here's a quick vid of my Nu with the LED kit. I also installed the DianChang alloy kit to make its inner frame alloy - it fit perfectly and allows it to hold up the fin funnels without any issue. The fin funnels are the Daban double FF kit that has psycho frame - I like this better for the LED kit since the lights shine through the psycho frame a bit. I also had the third party Nuclear high mobility backpack that looks more like Hi Nu backpack, but I didn't like it that much - it took away some of the charm from the Nu. I considered getting the kit for the MB, but honestly I think it would look a bit cheap next to the premium finish of the Metal Build compared to a model kit. Plus, I didn't want to risk using any glue or double sided tape on the MB (which you do need to use for the MG fin funnels).

I absolutely hate that such a significant remolding such as Strike Noir is a TME exclusive... I may be wrong but I thought usually only simple recolors or accessories were limited in this manner. On another note, I've finally posted some photos of the spare Metal Build X0 Full Cloth and Red Dragonics accessories I have for sale. I also have a MIB original MB Gold Frame Amatsu Mina. Prices are absolutely negotiable so if anyone is interested, please message me! https://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/topic/50555-fs-bandai-metal-build-figures-and-accessories/

Would anyone in this forum be interested in extra accessories from the Metal Build Red Dragonics or X0 Full Cloth releases? I mentioned this in another forum but PBandai screwed up my replacements and ghosted me for nearly 2 months, so I'm just trying to recoup some costs at this point - I did finally get my X0 FC replacement but never did for Red Dragonics. Either way, I got stuck with the box and all accessories for both sets since they only had me send over the defective figure. I figured the Red Dragonics accessories may be interesting to some since they are compatible with a whole host of SEED figures including the earlier releases of MB Red Frame. I can provide pictures if desired; I might sell some other MBs as well such as the original Amatsu Mina Gold Frame. I don't have enough space for all these SEED figures with their bulky backpacks

Thanks, I had seen this but didn't think that it would help with horizontal articulation (I thought it was referring to tilting the head up and down), but you're right that I missed this.

I had the same criticisms regarding the head articulation, but one of the reviewers I follow (Gundamholic TV) noticed that promo shots showed much more articulation than he thought possible. The manual fails to mention that you can slightly lift up the head, after which it can barely clear the collar to look left and right.

I had read many horror stories about the original glossy release, but decided to take a gamble on this new matte paint reissue. Maybe my expectations were set pretty low by its negative reviews, but my overall opinion on the matte reissue is high. It's packaged much better than the unboxings I've seen of the original, with each individual piece in a separate section of a clamshell, though you still need to assemble everything together. I have no loose joints at all - in fact, some joints are a bit TOO tight, but it allows for the figure to hold its pose quite well. I think the plastic has a less premium feel than what I expect from Metal Build and Moshow, but I still really like the matte paint. Also, the diecast seems like it's less dense or something because the figure is not as heavy as I'd expect from a figure with diecast inner frame. I think it's worth the asking price though, but that's just my subjective opinion. The lighting gimmicks are nice though I rarely use them, but they last a long time (unlike my CCS Mazinger that stopped working after 4 days).

I was considering it, but I haven't seen it in stock since the initial preorder window closed (except for inflated prices at BBTS). Honestly it's pretty nice looking and I'd be tempted to purchase it at its original price. I don't think it releases til near the end of the year though.

I'm pretty new to the world of third party Gundam in general, but it seems like I may have missed out on the hey day of a lot of great original releases. Are figures like the Steel Legend or MC Kshatriya or Jiang Gao MB Sazabi available anywhere anymore?
