  1. I use gundam markers. Look in thepanel lining thread. Lots of advice there.
  2. That's why I display my VF-0A with the missiles I took from the VF-0S(see previous post)
  3. Thanks! I'll try it as soon as I get home tonight.
  4. It worked! I just pushed the backpack straight up with a little more force than I used before and it soflty 'clicked' into place. Which means I own a near perfect VF-0S! WOOT! Thanks Nani?!!! Now... about that bent pitottube...
  5. No offense taken whatsoever Nani?! I did post in the second coming thread that I'd wait for the second run of the YF-19. My motivation for that is because of the QC problems I've read about, here on MW and in reviews around the net. I'm not going to spend $150 on a toy that's not up to par. So far I feel I've been lucky to get Valks that were mostly free of problems, the backpack problem being the worst issue I've had. btw: Did you push the backpack straight up to get it to stay in place? I haven't done that yet. I just pushed it towards to head.
  6. Could you post bigger versions of those pics? thanks.
  7. Mine falls down about 2 cm after being pushed up which means the backpack hangs on the back of the VF-0S at about a 50 to 60 degree angle. As for Yamato sabotaging all of my Valks...You must have me confused with someone else. My VF-0S is fine except for the backpack problem (thank god). And my VF-0A is allmost perfect except for a pitot tube that's slightly bent and a canopy that's a bit scratched.
  8. And because there is NO joint tension whatsoever the backback just drops back down in battroid mode.

    Graham's Sig

Damn...Every time I see new posts in this thread I think it might be that Graham finally told us what his sig means. This is starting to get annoying. highlight-->C'mon G-man spill it!<--highlight
  10. Me too. If/when it comes out.
  11. I've allready made my mind up, I NEED this. Guess it won't fit into a Detolf... I need to think of something that'll be big enough and keep it free of dust. Any suggestions? *EDIT* spelling
  12. I use spit instead of alcohol. You need a bit more but it does the trick. Oh and don't wait two hours to remove any smears you made. Do it immediately after you put the line in a grove. (BTW: I don't drink so much that my spit IS alcohol. Just for the wiseguys around here. You know who you are. )
  13. How about that flying bicycle they use in the first scene.
  14. I just checked my CF on the displaystand and the gunpod won't fit under the fighter because the end of the barrel is exactly where the arm of the displaystand goes into the underside of the VF (behind the head) Did you have to move the gunpod to the back to get the arm in there and is there a lot of tension on the gunpod?
  15. I think he wants you to make a new illustration that contains an element from each Macross series/movie/etc. troughout the 25 years of its existence.
  16. The upcoming 1/60 YF-19 is tiny compared to this guy and the difference in price is only 50 bucks. $200 is a lot of money, I agree with you there, but I don't think the ED209 is expensive. For $200 you get a highly detailed, pre-painted, mostly pre assembled HUGE model of the ED209.
  17. No you can't. You can with a VF-0, not with a 1/48 VF-1. *EDIT* As far a I know anyway. Maybe Golden Arms knows a trick I don't.
  18. Got my VF-0A last week but was too sick to panel line it. Just finished it today. here's a pic. It's fast becoming my favorite VF because it's such an accurate representation of the plane shown in the anime. The color difference between de different grays is perfect. (in certain lights its not even noticeable, although that might be because I'm slightly colorblind ) All it needs now is a Ghost to strap on its back and it'll be perfect. BTW, I put the white missiles from Roy's VF-0S on it because I think it looks more realistic. I just don't believe a carrier would have different colored missiles to put on each color of VF. I know, I know, why would a squadronleader fly a bright white VF with black and yellow stripes all over it if he could just fly a well camouflaged one instead? Just call it selective realism. And it looks better too.
  19. It's about $200 and all you need to do is snap a couple of parts together. see pics here. (found by wolfx)
  20. If Hot Toys can make something this huge for $200, Yamato can certainly make a 1/60 Monster IMO. Wouldn't it be similar in size?
  21. HLJ also has a battledamaged version up for preorder. *EDIT* More pics here.
