More frequent releases?! I can hardly keep up with Yamato's releases as is.

I think that's the problem with most modern mecha designs, everything has already been done, so we'll recognize something from previous mecha's every time something new hits the scene. For example, I see some EVA in the torso and shoulders of the middle mech. The same goes for Kawamori's Kiss Dum designs. The plane design is filled with style elements of the YF-19, VF-4 and SV-51 IMO.
