No no no no noooo, you're not getting away that easily young man. You will sit your @ss down and listen to us taking your so called 'half assed sketch' completely apart to tell you what you did wrong.
The intakes might have the funtion of running low temperature air past ducts with cooling fluid, which in turn, cools the reactors.
According to Kawamori's design works, the pitot tube rotates 180 degrees towards the front landing gear. On the toy, you just take it off and keep it in a safe place.
Sorry, can't help you there, haven't transformed any of my VF-0's for months.
The M0 line looks great. Come october I will own them all! woot!!1
There's a thread in the fan works section dedicated to the RC SV-51 made by MW member IAD.
According to Kawamori Shin flew a CF making it Shin's jet.
According to Yamato it was Shin's jet until they released Shin's jet, at which point it became a CF.
I'm not saying that I don't like the designs, my point is that we shouldn't jump to any conclusions about these designs because a lot can still change. I just used the SV-51's design process as an example.
I never noticed that, but you just gave me a good excuse to go see M+ again.
Those VF sketches look like very early design concepts, I think we could see a whole different design in the actuall series. The SV-51 went through the same process, actually, the first sketches of the SV-51 look kind of similar to these.
I'm a bit worried about the kid with the pointy ears in the top left corner...reaks of M7 OVA.
I once saw a custom of a GBP where the modeler put cotton wool around steel wire to make it look like a trail of smoke. He glued the missiles on the end of each wire. It looked really neat and I have thought about doing the same for my own 1/48 GBP, but I don't have enough space in my display case.
Just got my VF-0A/Ghost combo.
It's looks beautiful!
The Ghost is a bit darker than what the various pics show, but it's still just a little too light formy taste.
I'll panel line it next weekend and post pics when it's all done.
The arms on Shins VF-0A have a white stripe over them which is dark grey for the CF. Also, the CF shoulder is one colort where Shin's VF-0A shoulder is partly white.
pic borrowed from swoosh.
Did anyone else notice that Yamato didn't include the air intakes on the top of the Ghost as shown in the Hasegawa box art below? I checked Kawamori's design book and he included them in his sketches, I just don't have a scanner handy to prove it though.
