You have to understand that the old 1/60 came out years ago and was a very good (the best?) representation of the VF-1 in toy form in its day.

Considering it's been 5 years since the 1/72 release, my guess is that the upcoming 1/60 will be a great improvement. I wonder what they are cooking up to solve the heatshield problem though.

IIRC the battroid and gerwalk modes were an afterthought. He only designed the fightermode and had to somehow make it transformable when one of the Macross games was made. ...and I voted Hell Yes!

Voted VF-11. IMO it's the perfect hybrid between the YF-21 and YF-19. Wings come from the YF-21. Rear jet engine parts on top of fuselage come from the YF-21. In fighter mode the part behind the cockpit comes from the Y-21. Legs come from YF-19. Shield comes from the YF-19. Canards come from the YF-19. It's just sexay!!

I think it'll be slighty more expensive than the 1/60 VF-1. It's about the same size (a little bigger) but Yamato can milk the VF-1 molds a lot more than the VF-11 molds.
