If you don't allready own the normal GBP then it's worth it. I personally preffer the normal GBP colors to these allthough these are nice too. If it wasn't for the VF-0S/A, Angel Birds, YF-19 etc. coming, I'd get a Woodland Cammo GBP.

There's a pic of the VF-0A in the Tenjin Hidetaka artbook which shows the plane with simular stripes as the Yamato version.

And after that you'll want a GBP and that means you'll need to get another Valk to fit in it....etc etc...

Back then the toy manufacturers were counting on the fact that kids used a good amount of imagination while playing with their toys. These days kids complain that the thread that's holding the big yellow buttons on Mario's and Luigi's pants don't look real enough.

You're forgetting the charactaristic white line across the airbrake on the back. I don't think Kawamori would that one slip by. That line is why I'm hoping for a Shin blue VF-0D. Without it there would be a whole lot of surface in one color. edit: spelling

I wouldn't be surprised if the HFH demanded that the VF-0D should be gray as well. That would be really bad, cause I think a VF-0D would suck in gray.

I'd have a hard time letting a custom like this go if I had your skills Kurt. I'd much rather make 'm for my own collection. Great work!

Well, well,... lookee here. A screenshot (found on MW member Jung's website, sorry for stealing it for this post) of the YF-19 from Macross Plus. It's up close and detailed aaaand...the wings seem to be raising up out of the fuselage instead of down. It's probably because of the angle the shot was taken from but bear with me. Here, my VF loving friends, we have a screenshot of the YF-19 in a front view showing wings that are HHWAAAY to big and the intakes arent too small either. Note that the wings slope down in this shot. My point is: To dramatize some scenes animaters may sometimes exaggerate certain characteristics of a plane. All we can rely on is the official line art that the Hory Froating Head himself penned. It's the same with the 1/60 VF-0A. We all saw the blue-ish colors in the Macross Zero anime. Now Kawamori states that the anime wasn't done right and the Yamato toy is the way it's supposed to be? WHY THE HELL DIDN'T HE SPEAK UP WHEN THE ANIME WAS MADE?!?!?! The same goes for the YF-19, whatever Kawamori says is right,...is right. If that means the wings will not have anhedral (quick copy/paste action, I just can't remember that word), then it won't have anhedral. I'm pretty sure the HFH was involved in the design process of this toy from the beginning. Yamato wouldn't want to risk starting all over after showing Kawamori a finished prototype and he gives it a thumbs down. Maybe you model guys can have some fun modding it to whatever you want it to be when it's released.

So you haven't got a collection yet? If you do, show us what you've got even if it aint much.

I've been browsing the CGsociety gallery and there's some amazing pics there! Like this render of a 250 GTO, this Vampirella, or these Mustangs. It's hard to believe some of these are CG instead of real. Jay-Lew, If you're reading this, you should definitely post your renders there if you haven't allready done so.

That "YVF-14 Tigercat" looks like an uninspired mix of a F-14 nose and VF-1 midlle/rear. At least Kawamori designed something new...old...hmmm...whatever. You got that right!

OMFG That must be the ugliest rendition of a VF ever made! Look at the head. And the missilles look like hardcore vibrators.
