  1. i'm aware of Lexus being brought around it just slipped my mind, Infiniti is going the same route with Global name recognition but i'm not qutie sure when it's happening.
  2. In Europe and Japan there is no "Infiniti" it is all under the Nissan brand name, just like with Acura and Lexus' nonexistance in Europe/Japan. Most of the Japanese "Luxury brand" cars are still made just not under the same name. The G35 in Japan is considered a Skyline, but not a GT-R which is what many people get confused. Also i don't believe Skyline's can be purchased from the dealerships in Europe, but they can be imported for a very small fee and they are very popular in the UK. Whereas other cars like the Silvia (200SX in UK) were sold at dealerships but are currently discontinued.
  3. I like the new G35, and never at any point was it speculated to come with a 3.7 liter. The new G35 from the newest press releases is said to use the VQ block with about 80% brand new components (i don't know if they're using more exotic materials, or if they're just going to change the actual build of the motors bore/stroke). I just can't wait to see what the new coupe is going to look like, and how the new sedan will hold up against the IS350.
  4. i would consider that a vast upgrade.
  5. looks like a GT40 MkIV modified to be a roadster. Odd looking bugger that's for sure.
  6. unfortunately the general populace does not have a garage to park in (me included) so dash cleansing is needed on at least a monthly basis, and there are cleansers that don't "smell". I've never been one to clean my tires, but new car smell can last as long as you feel like; i still have my best friend (who works at a Nissan dealer) spray the "new car scent" in my vehicle every time he details it.
  7. i can understand you not caring about your tires, but the dash doesn't get changed every 30,000 miles; it's probably a good idea to use a good protectant like A7 suggested.
  8. the body itself was not actually stainless steel, it was glass enforced plastic brushed with stainless steel so the car wouldn't rust. The overall stance of the car was nice, but the head/tail lights really made it look campy 80's.
  9. what made the rotary interesting, was that it debuted as a tri-rotary and then again as a quad-rotar producing 350hp. However, like most companies who messed with rotaries, found it to be too much trouble and stuck with the more reliable diesel.
  10. What car is this, and more importantly what motor(s) did it use?
  11. I drive in DC traffic everyday with a manual and have never felt automatic to be more convenient. I actually enjoy manual in traffic as i can just let the clutch out a bit and let the car roll for me rarely having to touch the brakes.
  12. plus automatic transmissions ruin car performance and general driving experience by providing absolutely no feedback of the current state of your vehicle (which is normally felt through the clutch).
  13. John Woo is really hit or miss, but lately it's been way miss, so i'm hoping he doesn't carry a lot of weight in this remake.
  14. Didn't quite do that as several characters mutant powers were incorrect (namely Callisto and Psylocke), and personas were very off (Wolvering really came off as a pussy in this movie), otherwise, i felt the movie was mildly entertaining for the action, but really blows it with the characters.
  15. that's why i instructed a light application so it disintigrates, you obviously wouldn't want to cake oil on, you just want to use enough to break up the thick crap on the surfaces.
  16. This might sound a bit weird, but i actually did this over the weekend while doing maintenance on the Scooby (easiest maintenance i've ever done BTW). Get a rag, and lightly spray it with WD40 and wipe away. Thin oil wipes thick oil right out, and it leaves everything nice and shiney. You don't have to worry about it being corrosive, and since it's the thinnest oil you can buy it'll disintegrate after driving through a tank of gas. Only pressure wash parts that are tough to clean and that you can remove from the vehicle like aluminum mounts and stuff, otherwise you might break up some of the cheaper plastic pieces in the engine bay.
  17. I actually saw a DeLorean the other day... i couldn't help but laugh.
  18. Bricklin SV-1 powered by the Ford Windsor 351 Actually the DeLorean came after the Bricklin, and the Bricklin wasn't so much a failure as it was just in too small a production number to be truly profitable. since we're on gullwing door cars... what's this?
  19. GR is looking very McFarlane-esque, with his organic bike and whipping chains. I also concur with others that GR should be more like the campy original, but i doubt that would put a general audience in seats.
  20. i'm really bored at work, so i thought we'd play a game: NAME THAT CAR!? We'll start with an easy one
  21. I do all the work myself, and if i can't do it myself then i take it to my friend who is a Master Mechanic at Nissan, and use the dealerships shop after hours. There's nothing better than knowing exactly what was done to your car.
  22. Any of the Mech's from 'Metal Warriors' (namely Nitro or Havoc) or the main mech from 'Cybernator' Sonic Blast Man Concur with Simon Belmont and megaman
  23. Did you buy this car used or salvaged. If it's used, then the previous owner(s) really gave the motor (and i'm assuming drivetrain) a real beating. The interior and body actually don't look so bad considering how poor a shape the motor is in. The first F&F really wasn't that bad, it did get you very involved in the action and some of the stuff that was cheesy actually made the movie better (10 minute quarter miles; Charger launching through the air; Most of the Supra scenes) as opposed to the second one where the cheese factor just ruined the movie (but then again Mitsubishi did help sponsor it... and we all know what's happening to them).
  24. why don't you throw some of your sci-fi buzz words into a thesaurus and see what comes out. Then put the best two or three words into a string title and stick with it.
  25. maybe a little bit in the headlights, other than that Aston Martin's outsex Jags anyday.
