  1. i remember hearing about this stuff like 3 or 4 years ago; it's pretty cool, i'm surprised its not being used yet, i guess it's not fully refined.
  2. i saw it too, it was crap. I liked how they made Doom's armor look (pre board surfing), had a very Jim Lee-esque style to it, but the plot holes were just too much to deal with.
  3. the only thing that makes that audi look ugly to me is that it's slow.
  4. I kind of agree, but at the same time, dependent on how well they can carry the story they might not need as big a budget as we think.
  5. I was pretty disappointed with MP8 myself; nothing at all what i was expecting. I will admit that once you get all of the extras it makes it a little more interesting, but certainly not worth retail price.
  6. It's probably just photo deception because Porsche's look huge in pictures but are so very tiny in person.
  7. For clicking links in outlook, go to the add/remove programs, click the program access/defaults button on the left tool bar and under 'custom' settings, choose firefox as your default web browser. If that doesn't work, then it may be a goofy setting in outlook. As for the filter, do you mean rules? I have rules setup in my outlook (tools->rules&alerts) that have never gone wrong, but it might not be a bad idea to remove and remake them.
  8. If you're not interested in sale, i would definitely purchase a recast or two.
  9. I never said the ATI was a better card by any means, but ATI is known (throughout pretty much all of its history) of releasing mediocre cards first that barely meet up to its competition and then releasing the highest end card that ends all benchmarks. Which is why it's at least worth waiting for to see what their highest end card can produce, in which case i'll have no problem putting together my quad-core rig (i'm building a quad because i have a family member at intel that gets me chips at cost i.e. 800-1000 dollar chips for barely over 200 bucks). If i were building a rig at this very moment of course i would purchase NVidia cards, that's a no brainer; but i don't have the resources at this time to build a rig and won't for about another month anyway which is why for me it is not painful to wait.
  10. that's pretty bad; fortunately any motor enthusiast can easily state the country to which companies correspond.
  11. the del sol is the only one that actually looks "intriguing" like a movie prop while the other ones look like regular cars with toys glued to them.
  12. my wife and i have mario party 8 ordered already so we'll go pick that up next week. I was lucky enough to receive my wii as a gift from my wife; i didn't bother to ask her how she got it, but i would assume it was from one of her friends who works at best buy. I have gold medals in all of wii sports and wii play and still not quite bored of it, it's a good thing there are some good games out, and coming out for it that make the system worth while.
  13. Cloud & Wind is basically DBZ; it was made ages ago around the same time as Shaolin Soccer when underground Hong Kong flicks were getting popular. I agree that JC and JL have different cinematic styles so it'll be interesting to see how the movie flows.
  14. ATI's performance is slightly lacking, but overall the cards match up performance wise when compared on different OS's (XP & Vista) plus the latest catalyst drivers have not been released yet. As far as expansion, i feel like the R600 platform based on its architecture will provide more over time with better drivers and overclocking. However, at face value, ATI took way too long to release this and it wasn't nearly what I was expecting in both performance and value. Guess you'll have to wait until they release the rival to the GTX and see which side the coin falls on; as for now, i'm going to wait a few months to see the GTX rival and see what CPU's come out before i build my next rig.
  15. I've played (not beat) the newest Zelda but i still think the good old Zelda: A Link to the Past for SNES was the best one; it really set the standard for how Zelda games are formatted and none of the newer ones have that same kind of charm that it had.
  16. exhausts sounds notes dB are all dependent on manufacturer and type. I can get an exhaust that sounds droning loud and obnoxious or i can buy one that's smooth, even, and almost symphonic. I've seen BMW's that sound like Corvette's and vice versa, it's just all about research and what brand and sound suits you.
  17. my wife bought me a wii a few weeks ago as a "just because" gift. It's fun, her and I have friendly competitions against each other of course I always hold back a bit for her sake but we all have a good time, can even get the kids involved.
  18. for some reason the Firebirds/camaro's don't hook up well (or at least they didn't when i drove my friends '00 bird), so doing motor work probably isn't a good idea unless you're into peeling out at lights all day. But simple stuff like Intake, Exhaust, isn't going to do much except make for a nicer sound and maybe a negligible horse power gain.
  19. I don't see the pig nose short ram intake so i'm guessing you got the Formula Firebird with the LS1 and not the Trans Am? There's no contest to this thing being pug ugly, a good friend of mine had one and they're also deceptively cozy on the interior considering how big the car is. I'm sure you probably got a good deal on it though since they don't make em anymore especialy since it's anywhere between 5 and 9 years old. The one thing that redeems all of it's GM shoddiness is that 5.7L V8 LS1; do you have any plans for the motor? The great thing about the LS1's is you can get so much power out of them for so little money, but i'm sure you're already doing donuts with this thing as it is (keeping those rear wheels to the ground with that car is a challenge).
  20. i know haro already went with a different bluetooth but i would've picked up a Nokia BH-800, or a Aliph Jawbone, both of which have exceptional features and excellent sound quality.
  21. my wife doesn't like public display of toys either, so like one of the posters above stated, get a "man room". I have the garage work area (an extension of the two car garage that is about the size of an extra car port), and a basement work/storage area (10'x10' room). Needless to say i spent a couple weeks properly replacing stored items throughout the house to give me work room in the basement, and setup a nice bench in the garage with shelves for display.
  22. the fight was dope; can't wait until next week.
  23. This show needs better cars... i dunno about you, but if i'm in a cross country race, i would buy a car that is more versatile than a pick-em up truck or a mini van. First thing I would've done is go to the closest dealership that had one and pick up an Elise, or just screw it and buy a Ducati or Suzuki Sports Bike. The advantage of the Elise though is gas mileage, great handling, easy to find parts (it's using Toyota parts), low maintenance, etc. And with bike obviously, HOV, gas mileage, low maintenance, cheap, etc. Of course that would ruin the shows "drama" and "suspense" as it would seem to easy for someone too do that. Edit:Sp
  24. if Target Earth is like Cybernator, then you have to check out Metal Warriors. It was basically Cybernator but with a two player vs mode and about 5 or 6 different mecha to choose from, plus much longer and more difficult. I also played the Ganbare Goemon series with my brother back in the day; also was addicted to STG Strike Gunner, Firepower 2000, and the Battletoads franchise. They really don't make games like they used to.
