  1. When I post pictures to show one of my finished model kits or step by step topics, I'm limited to post a few pictures, and I can't post more until someone else post there. Always the most interesting things are the last so sometimes it takes too much time until somebody post a comment... it's a little frustrating.
  2. Thanks EXO. Now, I apply wet salt in little amounts. With a toothpick, you can give them more dynamic forms: With the airbrush shoot some air to remove the excess of salt and its dust. After that, apply a thin coat of paint, to affirm the salt. I apply paint after 3 or 4 piles of salt. When you have finished all the piles of salt, you can apply the complete coat of paint. I apllied the post shading too, but I forgot to take the picture. Sorry for that. Oce the paint is dried, you can remove the salt with a brush or your fingers. And voilá! True chips! This is my first time using this tecnique, so only now I realise that it would be better if before I would make chips with a metal color, and after that apply the red "primer". This way I could simulate the metal chassis of the fighter. Anyway, I'm happy with this first result. I'll see if I can paint some metal ships over the red ones with another tecnique. Oops! I also fogot to take a picture with all the ships! But nevermind, now I have the Gnerl ready to paint the other colors, next time you'll see it with all its colors! Until then!
  3. Update time! Now that I'd finished the VF-0, Gnerl is the only model kit in process, so this will be faster from now... as you'll see now! First, I thought again about the nose cannons, because it would be hard to hide their cuts. So I decided to make them in a different way. But now I'll need to add them what I cut before Well, it not exist a perfect saw cut, so I had to apply some epoxy putty These hydraulic arms are from the missiles hatch. I made them again because originals don't look so good: Comparison: This is the base color of the cockpit. I use a light gray with a pinch of blue. In the pictures it seems like a light blue, but it doesn't. No, I'll not make the Miria's Gnerl, this is the "primer" color... next you will see what I'm talking about! Please post to allow me to post the other pictures!!
  4. Thank you guys for your comments! No one special, but in general I have Sherwin Williams. I just go to an automotive painting workshop, and I give them a little amount of the color that I need and they make the mix until equal my color. I always ask glossy colors, this make my work easier, especially with decals and metalizers. Once applied the decals, I apply a flat coat. Actually, I only use enamels as color reference, or applications in very small areas. I'm saving a lot of time and money using automotive acrylic paints... you just need to be careful with your health, using mask and air extractors. But may be you could get automotive paints of the new generation, water solubles...
  5. Wow man, they look great!! You overcome my expectations! Just tell me when I have to pay!
  6. I presume that the PE parts will be sold separately? Anyway, lloks great!!
  7. I have Mike's v1 Monster too, but I'd like to see a Wave version, an industrial and plastic version can be plenty of details, and it's cheaper too.
  8. Hi guys, I want to share with you my lastest kit: the VF-0S Battroid from Hasegawa. It's painted with acrylic lacques. Metallic finishing were made with Alclad II paints, "steel" color. In the last picture you can see other kits in 1/72, for reference. The "Fast Pack" leg parts are removable, I put a rare earth magnet in each leg, and a nut in the Fast Pack. So at least!! I'll have the 100% of my hobby time to work in the Gnerl... stay tuned for WIP updates!!
  9. If we could enlarge that kit to 1/72...
  10. Great news!! that Legioss looks faaaaar better than anyone see it before. I want it!! And I cross my fingers to see a Tread kit, and fighters would be great too.
  11. This is great!! May be I'll buy one to make the "blue version", I still keep the optional head from the Captain's kit. Few days ago I saw the Wave's Tomahawk and I love the boxart.
  12. Same here, I didn't see this thread until now. I really love the finishing, this kit looks perfect to me, great colors, details, and smooth weathering. Congratulations!
  13. I don't know how I missed this thread, but anyway, congratulations!! Superb result, and great pictures! (I downloaded all of them!)
  14. But Cap, if you make the other ships, the nupetiet-vergnitzs is a must be! We can use 2 bases to hold it if it's necessary... all that I know is that I REALLY want that ship in my shelf.
  15. 1/2500? That should be very expensive...
  16. I didn't receive mine yet...
  17. Such a BEAUTIFUL ship!! I love it! Cap, you are the best!!
  18. Looks great!!
  19. Youre right! These kits are a nightmare!! But yours results very well, congratulations!!
  20. May be for some vehicles you should consider make them with a cavity in the cockpit area, that way we could be able to recreate glasses with clear plastic sheets. This will have a far better look than a solid piece with painted windows.
  21. Thanks Yeti, I'll take the complete set in 1/72, also I hope to see 1/48 versions in the near future.
  22. I'm just curious about the differences between lineart of Masterfile book and the carrier that appears in the show.
  23. Definitively, gunpod carrier don't appear in Perfect Memory, This is Animation or Macross Journal Extra VF-1 Valkyrie. The only one is that Lobizon post it. But here is a capture:
  24. When I post the Limo lineart I tried to find the gun pod carrier in the Perfect Memory book but I didn't found it. I'll search again.
