Science and Technology MEGA THREAD
Commander McBride replied to Max Jenius's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Now thats just fruity Compared to that crap, Cirque de Solei has AgentOne levels of masculinity! Hell.... this kuso is fruiter than BASARA!!!! -
The PC sim world isn't what it should be at the moment. It's pretty sad that Saitek keeps coming out with more and more kickass versions of their HOTAS (Now the X52), and there aren't really any appropriate games for it.

If anyone's interested, the image went down, so here's my Cardomain, which has a copy of it. -

Oh, I see (about the squadron / wing) I'm not that up on aircraft. These days, my interest in planes mostly extends to games / cool toys / models. -

Yeah, I get both every month. Drift Tengoku as well, usually Battle Magazine, and occasionally RevSpeed and Young Version. By the way, kind of an odd question, but how would the headline (Will not be defeated by rain! Will not be defeated by fog!) be transliterated? I, well, want to yell it, super robot slogan style, when I go to the touge! -

Thanks, that helps me clarify it, another person was able to partially translate it. Overall it says: Will not be defeated by rain! Will not be defeated by fog! We were impressed at the strength of the driver's will and his dedication! (when he continued to run in the horrible weather. I was one of very few who did) But he should be careful, or he may catch a wall. -
I just got a scan of the Japanese car magazine D-Car, and my car is featured! However, I have no idea what the text around it says. Can anyone here tell me? Any input will be greatly appreciated.

Too bad Spehiroth is second only to Kefka in the "lamest villain ever" category. Sorry, but I have to say, I strongly disagree with that statement....... Kefka > Sephiroth! -
If you do find a Super Max, I defenitely recommend picking one up. It's impossible to describe just how great the shade of blue is. In fact, I liked the color scheme, but had no intention of buying one. Then I saw one in person, and knew in seconds that I had to have one. A couple weeks later, there was one in my display case. I dropped $150, based soley on the color in which the toy was molded. It's that good.

1800 is chump change. Hell, I spent 3000 on my toy budget in the past MONTH!!! Of course, the "toy" is a car, but it's a toy for me......

Best Gundam game in history! Score: 33/40
Commander McBride replied to ogami's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Rumor has it that we'll be getting this instead of AEUG vs Titans. Either way, I'm picking up an import copy ASAP. -
Man, you've only been modelling for five months? I've been modelling for almost 10 years, and I still can't get anything to come out half decent.....
-
Yeah, that's what gave me the idea, but that wouldn't make a very interesting manga series. So it's gotta be some kinda air combat thing!

Never seen these works, but I really want to read Alice 12 now, just to see what possible use a 747 like that could serve. Imagine, maybe it's a super-interceptor filled with hundreds of AMRAAMs!

Aircraft VS super thread!

*shakes head* They look fugly and worse then that the look to comprise the perfomance too much to be of any value, wake up boyo "muscular" looking planes rarely perform well. I just was speaking of the look. Also, I did check them out from some other angles, while they look OK from the sides, they really do look like crap from above. Some muscular planes perform quite well. How about the F-14, the F-15, or the MiG-31? -
Haha, how'd you attach them? When I did my Gundam ornaments, I just used normal ornament hangers and clipped them around any convinent spot on the MS. By the way, isn't it a bit early for a tree? If it's up this early, won't it likely be dead by christmas? Or is is a synthetic tree?

I don't mind the look of the CFTs too much. They, along with the spine, give the plane a sort of muscular look. -

Speaking of Wilson Combat, does anyone have any experience with the Wilson ARs? They have a pretty good reputation as a 1911 builder, but are their rifles up to par? -
Best anime openings and endings this season...
Commander McBride replied to Raptor's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Well, naturally. It's racing (even if you're not competing), on a street. Hence street racing. It's still cooler (although probably even more dangerous) than street drag-racing, since it takes real driving techniques. I wouldn't pay more than $3000 for an AE86 though... I'm hoping to find a Turbo II for $5000 or less. I'm also interested in SOLO I (Hillclimb!!!) and SOLO II. The FC would be convenient for that since there's no back seat that I'd have to sacrifice for a roll bar. Not to mention the good upgrade potential that a stock turbo car gives you. I'm still wondering about rotary reliability though... Reliability really isn't an issue. Treat the car right and it'll run forever. Just gotta make sure the rotary runs well when you get the car. -

I run a couple of roads in the Angeles Crest and San Bernadino forests, not far outside of LA. Well, ran, haven't been up for a while, as the roads were closed for fire season,a dn my car's been busted since they reopened. It'll be awesome very soon, though, with the new brakes and suspension stuff that's currently going on. Now I just need some body mods, as I killed my bumper..... However, I'm retiring from touge soon. When it all comes down to it, it's really just a glorified form of street racing. Not saying I'll stop going up there, but I'm moving my competitive focus to road racing and Autocross. As for the cars you mentioned, I'd defenitely go for the FC. Even a mediocre Corolla GT-S will go for several thousand these days, and the S13s and 14s are getting overpriced as well. The FC, on the other hand, hasn't gained the popularity that the 240s and the AE86 have, so the prices are still fair. -
Yeah, I did a "Shin's VF0D" custom job to it. In other words, I took out my bumper and blew up my motor. But I've got a new motor going in now, along with some suspension crap, 300ZX 30mm brakes, a Sparco steering wheel and a Schroth harness, among other things. So it's not all bad.
