Two? Barely a year, man! Hell, this was only like six months ago. I can't wait until I can get some good aero and new lights, so the car looks hot again. http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2004-6/762072/Zenki!.jpg

Yeah, but it's a drift car, so keeping up is irrelavent. As for fixing it, it's more of an issue of just getting new stuff. New lights, new bumper, skirts, etc. Thing is, I have no money at all.
-
Yeah, but to get US RWD, you have to drive a car that weighs 3500 pounds and has a suspension from a yacht. I'll take the Japanese route. And, it may not look it, but the car's actually pretty hardcore on the performance side. I've got probably 6 or 7 gs into the suspension, steering, and drivetrain.
-
And now, for a car that doesn't look so good! What you see here, is the result of actually going to the track and pushing the car for all it's worth. I went flying into a berm, among other things. On the bright side, my hood and wing are looking kinda cool.

But then you'd have a souped up coupe version of a boring family sedan, instead of an expensive exotic. Apples to oranges. Yeah, but that would also mean that, when I beat up the car driving it like it's meant to be driven, replacing parts would be feasable.

Went out to Willow Springs International Raceway yesterday, to participate at Just Drift. It was my first time sliding my car at the track, and it was a helluva lot of fun. It's true what they say, S14s really do drift well, they're very stable and controllable. As for me, I made quite a bit of improvement through the day, and I can't wait for the next one.

There is a very valid reason for the presence of Kei cars and similar vehicles. The game is originally made in Japan, for a Japanese audience. Many Japanese drive these cars, and they want to be able to use their real car in the game. Additionally, some of the Kei cars are a lot of fun. Try a modded Cappucino on a curvy course and you'll see what I mean. Porsche, Ferrari, and Lambo, as stated, are out of the game because PD could not secure licensing for them. As for other cars, don't forget that what you see in the dealers is only a small fraction of what's really available. Cars like a Trans Am may appear at some point from the Used Cars dealer, or as prize cars.

Looks like Sony is in development hell

I'm one of the wierd ones who prefers the original XBOX controller. My main problem with the S is the white and black buttons, they're sorta inset, making them hard to press. Additionally, though, I really like the relaxed position my hands can be in on the original pad. I don't get nearly as much fatigue with it as I do with a DualShock or GC controller. Of course, my Dual Shock isn't used much now. All I'm playing is GT4, and I have the Driving Force Pro. I have to say, it feels incredible with GT4, very close to what my real car feels like when running hard. -
No, it's the "putting the car in a cool picture to try to convince people to waste a million dollars on a hideously ugly car" version. I'd buy a GT-R and soup it up to 1001HP for 1/5th the price, and have a car that will dominate this crapass thing.

I guess they must not have copyright laws there, lol.....

You have to use a Kei car. That means things like Suzuki Cappucino, Daihatsu Midget and other cars, the little Suzuki, Honda Fit, etc.

On the Audi subject, I actually like the new front end. I think it looks like crap in photos, and even out of context, as in a car show, but when you see one under natural light, out on the road in the real world, they look pretty good.

Did anyone go to D1? It was a bit short, but awesome action. Kazama took out Imamura with an insane pass on the inside of the west corner, for his second Irwindale win in a row. I got a nice little prize out of it, too. I managed to get myself into the pit area, as I usually do at events. Because I was in the right place at the right time, I was able to score Kazama's victory champaigne bottle, even managed to get him and Imamura to sign it!

Any theories for MGS4?
Commander McBride replied to Major Johnathan's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Plus, "Ocelot" isn't really a badguy. You did listen after the credits, right? He's Adam, the defector Snake was supposed to meet, and he's a triple agent, really working for the CIA. -
For that matter, what's up with having T&A, and yet having the character ruthlessly dismember and murder her victims? Sorry, but I don't care how hot she is, it just doesn't work if I expect that she'd kill me on sight if I ever met her.

Bugs Bunny and Friends. The NEXT Generation?
Commander McBride replied to UN Spacy's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
WTF is this Sh*t? They all look like they're on crack, or maybe meth. This show is going to be the biggest failure in the history of the franchise. And who thought it was a good idea to make each one bi-chrome, with just black and one color? -
Any theories for MGS4?
Commander McBride replied to Major Johnathan's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Hasn't everyone forgotten the one character who really is missing a story between MGS3 and MGS1? I REALLY, REALLY, want a game where you play as Adamska. (AKA Ocelot) -
The new Subarus are designed by a European guy. Same guy who styled for Renault or something. Personally, I don't like it. Subarus have always had a sort of engineered look, rather than a designed one, form following function. This car looks too contrary to that.

I forgot to mention, I got some new stuff for my car. I probably should have spent some cash on trying to make it not look like crap, but instead I spent my money on some mods people can't even see! Nismo GT 2-way LSD! Exedy Stage 1 clutch!

Great moments in anime....done in MS Paint

Haha, here's the result of about 20 mins of screwing with paint. Has a sort of Oekaki look, I guess..... -
Official Gundam Plamodel Thread
Commander McBride replied to Black Valkyrie's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Technically, the Turn-A was a New Material Model, not an MMM. The metal it's composed of is titanium, I'm not sure if that or the usual Japanese toy "chogokin" pot metal was used for the MMMs. -
Official - Weapons Banter Thread
Commander McBride replied to Mechamaniac's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
I'd dispute that. How about the G-11? Sure, it didn't enter production, but it was a pretty original design. Or, while it could be called an SMG, the P-90? -
Even some cars look right with the chrome ones, although they're few and far between. A good example is the S15 Silvia. Almost all of those running D1 have the "Altezza' style tails, and, IMO, they look pretty good on a full race car, though they'd look awful on a street car. On another subject, I've started to change my opinion on Bangle. The overall shape, proportions, and lines of his cars are actually very good. It's only when it comes to details, like lights, grilled, and trim, that a problem appears.

He didn't say spinning out, he said spinning a tire, i.e. breaking one of the wheels loose. AgentOne, I'm surprised you think the M3 is so different from the GT-R. I've always found them to be very similar in concept and design, even in shape.

I'm very openly not a Skyline fan, but there's something I have to say in that car's defense. It's a Nismo, and a Z-Tune at that. That bodykit isn't for show, every curve, scoop, and vent is there for a reason and serves a purpose, whether it's to cool brakes, vent turbo heat, or increase downforce. Nismo doesn't screw around. As for the new Eclipse, maybe it looks like other cars, but at least they're attractive cars. I've thought the tC was one of the best proportioned cars on the US Market, just lacking the performance to make it good. The shape and details of the Eclipse are actually nice to look at, which can't be said of a lot of cars these days. By the way, it was at the Mitsu booth, right near the border with Subaru.
