  1. Dang. This will be painful. I probably have 2 dozen items on preorder - some have been on order for 1.5 years or so. I can see myself getting fed up with the extra fees and canceling orders.
  2. I’ll 3D scan, model, and print sets shortly after I have them in hand
  3. Carol Anne! Don’t go into the light!!!! Love that movie.
  4. I probably didn't scroll far enough back. Do you have pic from a different angle? Maybe the front? It's hard to appreciate it from only this angle.
  5. Related, but unrelated, I've always viewed the legioss-tread as a singular mecha owing to the fact that my introduction to both was a piece of artwork highlighting their union. Is there an official term for their combined form? I'm drawing a blank. And what do we call multiple legioss fighters? Legiosses? Legiossi? My mind's ear is begging me to use the term "alphas" because the formers sound so strange. Questions inspired by my friend Jack Daniels.
  6. I don't know, Shawn. I have a hard time picking a favorite. All of mine are in remote offsite storage so I don't know if I've got complete sets myself. I run a manufacturing LLC on the side, and at one time I thought to reproduce these kits (with important improvements) just for myself. Still haven't gotten around to it yet. But my 3D scanner is at the ready when I finally resume the project.
  7. That is impressive!
  8. I thought it was humorous and didn't take any offense. If there was any concern. I was multitasking when composing my post and I probably didn't try hard enough to match your humor and tone. It's 2:00 AM here. Let's blame it on fatigue. 🙂 But thank you as well for adding to jenius' contribution! I'm really looking forward to the Tread. I was so very disappointed by the Masterpiece versions.
  9. I appreciate your kindness, patience, and willingness to educate. 🙂 I've been a loyal fan of MW from the very beginning, but I haven't always paid close enough attention to the "culture" and rules of each board here. I've been a more regular contributor lately, and I think I'm finally getting the gist of the boards/threads I track, but I'm going to make another absent-minded mistake at some point. I guarantee it. And I've had plenty of CMs. I've gone through multiple "cyclone phases" where I bought everything I could find only to hear my wife (who's an engineer and mecha fan) ask the question, "Don't you have like 10 of those already?" 🙂 I just point to her shoe closet and peace is restored.
  10. I don't know 'CM' or the product/scale you're referencing. Well, I own (or have owned) at least one of most every transformable Mac/Robo/Mos/(you get the idea) toy made, so I prolly have owned a CM or two even if I don't realize it at the moment. Lancer...Yellow Dancer...IDK. I need a bit of latitude with character names and plot points, and how they differ between the source material and Robotech. I am a mecha guy and I could not care less about the characters or the singing. If I were independently wealthy, I'd hire a team of the best storytellers and anime artists to recreate Mac/Robo from start to finish. Pull storylines and plot points from the published novelizations and comics if they're any good. I wouldn't care where the good idea came from. If it's amazing and serves the overarching story, add it to the mix. And I wouldn't even ask permission from the rights-holders: it'd be a private work of art not meant for commercialization or distribution. Of course, you'd all be invited to a private showing. 🙂
  11. I had Google translate the Facebook posts: those folks don't seem all that impressed with the Riobot. And I don't blame them. I transformed my Lancer once and back, and the lower leg popped off because it was held together with just a dab of weak, gummy glue. Impressive looking display piece, but the scale is all wrong for a transformable toy.
  12. I haven't seen the anime. Does he have deep pockets? Is his nickname, "human tripod?"
  13. I’m guessing this is the source material for Edge of Tomorrow? I gotta check this out. Thanks!
  14. Caught up on Ishura this afternoon. I am not familiar with the source material, if there is any, so please don't spoil anything for me. I love the series thus far, but I have to say that I can't tell yet if we're actually building towards something. There are only 2 episodes left in season 2 and they are still world building and introducing new OP characters. As a GenXer with a terrible attention span, I would have dumped the series long ago if it weren't for its thrilling animation and action sequences. I'm hoping there's an epic showdown up ahead. I’ll be disappointed if they build to something potentially epic but the writers conveniently nerf characters during critical match-ups or resolve conflicts with deus ex machina a la Doctor Who. [Clip below pokes fun at Doctor Who, but it's relevant to my point.]
  15. TY All for the Cliff Notes! “Ba” made no sense until now. 🙂
  16. I picked up 2 to go with its 2 brothers in blue. [I couldn't get past the first 10 minutes of the animation so I have no idea who pilots these valks or how many additional colors/repaints I should expect.]
  17. Was reading through older posts and ran across your question. I haven't heard of any new developments, and I probably scan the web twice a month for updates. You heard anything yet?
  18. Same, but this week's quasi-filler episode sorta makes sense: We just had a banger episode and we need to tableset for the final episodes of the season.
  19. I used bare-bones prompts. First three images: "macross invid enforcer standing in an open meadow on a bright, sunny day." Bless its heart. It tried. Tried again using the following prompt: "max sterling piloting a VF-1J valkyrie in the robotech animation." These three are nightmare fuel.
  20. No, no, no. You’ve mis-oriented the guitar. You gotta orient the neck and frets forward so the valk can reach down and play …. 😱 ... Forget everything I just said.
  21. 2 seasons. I need multiple spinoff series starting with Flamme and her teacher (can’t remember her name)
  22. 1. The color scheme doesn’t look so terrible here. 2. I hate the gold chrome on that pitifully plain stand 3. Bandai missed a fantastic opportunity: They could have used a guitar for the vertical support on the stand
  23. That’s my guess as well. Was figuring it’s a mixed media piece.
