  1. Solo Leveling season 2: GIVE ME SEASON 3 TODAY! I didn't read the source material and I avoided spoilers all season long. Season 2 was a delight, start to finish. And that opening theme song is a banger.
  2. I gave Gundam a chance. I watched a couple different series (I think the original, Char's revenge, and a third one) but gave up on the IP when it seemed like they were all rehashing the same plot with similar/related characters. But back to aesthetics. Gundams don't make any sense to me (see attached pic). If I'm designing mecha, am I going to waste time, materials, manpower, money, etc. making every other facet pointlessly pointy? No. There's nothing elegant about a Gundam's design, and that's their fatal flaw for me.
  3. The head sculpt channels Gundam a bit too much for my tastes.
  4. I'm an OG G1 die-hard...but I feel like it's time to move on and establish a newer, richer cast of multi-faceted characters and an internally-consistent universe. And for the love of God, make it a universe that doesn't revolve around kids! I give every TF series an honest chance, but I keep returning to G1 simply because none of the follow-up series released thus far has captured my imagination in any compelling or lasting way.
  5. The rear-wheels transformation is beautiful.
  6. I forgot about this one. I love that "The original battle machines!" is/was trademarked. I suppose this is a good example of "everything old is new again."
  7. A couple sites identify this as a model kit. https://www.facebook.com/suprememecha/posts/news-kits-mospeada-gsc-moderoid-genesis-climber-vr-0527f-mospeadadetails-tbaaaro/982634653867997/ https://plastic-model-republic.com/product/tag_page.html?tags=913&p=1
  8. "Please, Sir. I want some more." I really like its stripped-down design, even if it looks just a bit stumpy in these pix.
  9. Many thanks for the offer! I'll keep it in mind if something happens to one of my orders.
  10. I had a lot of hope for it. I might try again some day when I’m ready to concentrate on the plot.
  11. I just watched an 11-year old YouTube video of someone building a 1/72 Legioss Fighter model kit. But what caught my eye was a comment that described a Monogram model kit of Go-Bots Leader-1 that was based off the Legioss. I figured the commenter was full of it. Nope: https://www.ebay.com/itm/296133515473?chn=ps&google_free_listing_action=view_item We have definitive connections between Macross and Transformers and Mospeada and Go-Bots. Anyone know of a connection between Southern Cross and another IP? The Mighty Orbots? 🙂 I was aware of the Cy-Kill/Cyclone model kit, but somehow the Leader-1 escaped me.
  12. Oof... Star Trek: Discovery. I felt that. ST:D needed better storytellers (and they shouldn't have stolen the entire water bear/warp drive story line), but more to your point, Soniqua-Green can't act. She was terrible on the Walking Dead and she showed zero growth on ST:D.
  13. I'm gonna run with this idea and add a dash of GI Joe. I'll create two fighters with complementary color schemes and call them Xamot and Tomax.
  14. Shoot. That’s too bad. I like their complementary colors. Made me think we were a couple years into the war and I was seeing fighters that had been cobbled together using parts from totaled mecha. Actually, that gives me ideas!
  15. Grabbed this image from AnyMoon (https://anymoon.com/blog/?p=13609#more-13609). If this isn’t a prototype or test shot built for promotion, anyone know what became of this one? Love the color scheme.
