Just work up, stayed up all night at a Macross Night party then saw the movie. By the time the movie started I was half a sleep from staying up all night. Going to see it again in a few hours so I should be able to have a clear head on the over all movie since I fell asleep during some parts since I was up over 24 hours. My biggest grip as of now.

The only company that had anything to do with both as far as financial support is Bandai. Bandai supports Gundam productions since it is their bread winning anime. Macross F pre-production had nothing to do with Bandai at the time it was only being financed by BW and Statlite with only Hasagawa and Yamato toys ready to give it financial backing since they have always supported Mac. BW had shopped Frontier around to different companies and pretty much was turned down by all possible backers until the Deculture Edition preview episode was ready to be shopped around. Then Bandai saw it and not only signed on but made the deal to be exclusive to them putting Hasagawa and Yamamto on the outs for Mac F merchandise since they would be funding either half or more of the production. So yes they did sponsor the show but had no input "influence" on the direction of the story or mechanical elements, since it was already laid out before then got on board. You are correct Frontier aired after the first season of 00 ended, and bears poo in the woods but neither of these facts have any bearing on your point.

So far I've heard nothing about a DVD yet. I was told earlier in the year that is suppose to be a two part movie. According to the theater schedule the movie is 120 minuets.

Got my tickets for Saturday 8am and for later that night 9:30pm. Anybody else here going? Tickets went on sale this morning at 2am. I walked into Shijuku Wald 9 this morning got my tickets good seats too. Most shows are 50 percent full for Saturday. Who else is going opening day, I checked the Roppongi theater on line and it is in a small theater.

My friend had a job interview in Dec. 2006 for a position at Satellite. During that interview they told him they were already in early production of a new Macross series for the anniversary. Very hush hush, even though he told me and in Feb. of 2007 I was in LA and I told a few MW members at a Frank & Sons meet up that there was a new series being made but you didn't hear it from me kind of thing. So that all per-dates Gundam 00 Season 1 first trailer aired on June 2, 2007. So what you got now.

In the morning I'm going to try to trade in the tickets for Saturday's seat number tickets. Wald9 just updated the times schedule for Saturday. I'm going to try to get tickets for the 7:05 pm show or the 9:30 show.

I've been told by two Japanese natives that are fluent in English that while the translation for the most part is correct, the way it is written is not at all mean spirited. They are saying that most are over reacting to a translation that is not perfect especially in the delivery of Japanese nuances. So who is the infant now? J/K.

Aside from Mac II there are plenty of references to characters from all the shows. Mac Zero actually had a younger Roy in it and many of Zero's story elements are embedded in the back story to Macross Frontier. Minmay is talked about in M7 and MF, and a picture of her is even shown at the end of Frontier. It's still up in the air to what exactly showing the picture actually insinuates. As far as what happened to them nobody really knows. Compared to what happened to their RT counterparts I'm fine without knowing.

If they hadn't had the Invid crabs, Alpha and Alpah Beta linked then it would have been 40 plus min of bad uniform design and even worse mecha design. The Aramaki and Kakinuma mechanical designs were it's only saving grace. To bad the low poly 3D models and bad shaders didn't give their stuff justice. Imagine if it was done with 100% all new characters and mecha in a whole new setting. Scary isn't it.

I wouldn't be surprised if it happened due to the economy, but the TV VF-1A Max and VF-1A Kakizaki were specifically "Made to Order" basically meaning they made pretty much only made the amount ordered give or take a few extra. Plus all orders had to be pre-paid in order to even get either of the two. Still money talks, so who knows.

I think the earliest will be on Wednesday. I will need to trade in the paper ticket once they release the time schedule so I can get the real ticket with seat number. What time do you want to try to get tickets for?

I would say it's the correct photo just the title description is off. The price is about right for the bike helmet but the 1/1 pilot helmet cost over $400 US dollars. UPDATE I was wrong. The reason it is cheaper is because it is an early bird ordering special once that is over it will go back up to regular price.

In a way you are correct, the proper machines with the ABS technology to make it with the amount of detail @ 1/2000 scale don't exist yet. The CAD engineers that worked on it don't get one, not to mention not even Kawamori got his two free.

I like all the music from the original 85, nothing wrong with it considering it comes from a childrens TV show. Today I heard something about Konata from Lucky Star sings the Mospeada opening theme. Which would explain why it's getting played in moe figure shops in Akihabara recently, too bad I thought Mospeada was making a come back.

The SDF-1 will actually be made in Japan, like the Minmay doll was.
