  1. Even Rolex have had some bad color choices! 😄 The thing is the build. Just handling it for its scale, you finally realize it was worth saving up for.
  2. If anything, I was expecting (and hoping) that Bandai was trying to build their US market beyond Diamond getting them into comic shops to big box brick and mortar chain stores like Target and Walmart (since they have already gotten into those stores with Gundam, and have established the relationships with their buyers and distribution infrastructure).
  3. Just put mine through its paces again, and immediately I'm reminded how DX is the Rolex of Valks. I just want more. Then I look at what I paid, and know it'll be awhile. 😭🤬😆
  4. Price will make a difference for me, of course, but if they skew accurate within their restrictions, I can see getting this. If it's deformed for the sake of it, then I'm usually out (Well, the Joke Machine VF-1 was kinda cute).
  5. Mine as well. I love it. DX remains the Rolex of Valks.
  6. Seriously. aside from the fact that the shipping would have been minimal an increase compared to the five already, he could have that sixth one as a "play" version and the others in a static formation display. That, or offload him on eBay for a profit. Either way, when you know six come to a case, I don't get not going all out. Of course, if anyone's faced with this dilemma, I'll take any free extras. 😄
  7. Ah yes, I think I saw someone mention this on TFW2005 in their Macross thread. The Lucky Cat line format is that the figure, or components of it (like Voltron), has to fold into cubes and fit into clear plastic cube boxes. If that holds true here, then this VF-1 will break down into several components, or it's small and folds into one. If it does, I fear the wings will be hinged. Looking at the new silhouettes for their Bayverse Prime and Bumblebee, I see added kibble at the edges which hint at hinges for those too. At first, I was psyched that Valkyrie Factory had a competitor, but it seems this will not fill that role. I wish. Like I said before, those are so damned cheap in build, that they ought to be found in dollar stores on a regular basis. If so, I'd buy a bunch!
  8. I see one on eBay https://www.ebay.com/itm/394434554069 Cheaper ($250 shipped before tax): https://www.ebay.com/itm/275578840714
  9. Got a SMS from DHL saying my Angel Bird will arrive Tuesday.
  10. A-E reached out to ask if I want the shipment now. YES, I said.
  11. True, any VF-1A/J/S with a 1D head would be a mongrel without the right cockpit, but I'd grab one if a full kit weren't on offer.
  12. Has anyone designed a Yamato 1/48-compatible VF-1D head for printing?
  13. Since the hardpoint ports are there, what's the chance that someone will offer red, white, and blue painted missiles or super parts on eBay? Yeah, non-canon, but definitely maximizing the toy's capabilities and maybe making a penny off those with some imagination.
  14. I could see myself owning this one. It's a good sculpt of Grant.
  15. I'm sad to say it was my first middle of the night PO acquisition. I wish I had been in the same position when the Kakizaki VF-1J or VF-1D were up among other DX offerings. 😒 I'm glad I haven't missed a VE-1 or VT-1 yet.
  16. When are folks (in the US, especially) likely to start getting their Angel Bird POs, though?
  17. Wow. Well, this IS the God Of Flame.
  18. What batch were you in? 1st? 2nd? 3rd+?
  19. Love that Bishop comes separated like that. 😄
  20. Actually thought it was this guy... https://www.tfw2005.com/boards/threads/the-robotech-thread.1036141/page-107#post-20931376 But the box number is wrong, so he's not alone!
  21. But when??? I swear I don't what's happening these days. I still can't get my head around two companies having matching licenses (which the scale and articulation seem to be) with equal world distribution. Unless TZ has to wait for KC to shut down its range first...
  22. Shame. They would sell. But I do get the ease of KO'ing the 1/55 design. Less parts, to be sure.
  23. Hardy har-har. 😄 But seriously...they seem so easy to KO. If they were a few bucks a piece, I'd actually grab a bunch and laud them for being worth it.
  24. Just curious...have there been KOs of Toynami 1:100 releases? I mean the quality is already on par with KOs... 😄
