  1. I'd expect KC to be more adventurous than Bandai on that, but I'd love it. I usually always go for a transparent version of a model if it becomes available.
  2. That's what I always say. When you deal with retailers like Amazon, and (for other mainstream toys like Transformers, etc) Target, Walmart, etc, there's always a variety of discounts that can be applied either via coupons, cashback sites, credit card offers, giftcard offers, and, sometimes, pricematching. Sadly, Macross has yet to have the same foothold in US retail to make the most of it, but several of these options work for Amazon at least and lessen the pain to one's wallet.
  3. If and when buying on Amazon, always check these links (if you have the relevant card). They aren't always active with a discount offer, but often are. https://www.amazon.com/chaseoffer https://www.amazon.com/discoveroffer https://www.amazon.com/amexoffer
  4. How good has the demand been for the Mechanic Edt. so far? Overwhelming, good, middling, etc? I'm curious if the demand is strong enough so far for them to run off more than just a bigger run, but alternate liveries (Roy, Max, Millia, Hayao, etc) before we get a new model like the VT-1.
  5. Ugh. I'm not premium on Pulse, so I expect missing out. Might have a chance on EE, I suppose. I'm fine with the initial purpose, but, seeing recent the G1 Hound WM reissue, I fear that last bit sounds likely. Well, I wasn't such a cardholder then. Have been since, and at a time when both he and Leadfoot still had pages and periodic stock appearing. When I got an order in in time, they were always cancelled. Corporate speech calls that "flex". Flexing stock into spots for other items (so no empty shelves appear) often seems the most important thing in the minds of Target employees these days. Plenty. Just that flexing in effect again. Before, it was on the Leader shelf, but now it's the pegs. Thing is, I can see that leading to more complaints from buyers saying they saw different prices when they picked an item. Flexing a shelf seems more defensible than intentionally stocking a peg you don't change a price tag on, but it happens all the time. I'd seen a MP shelf tag a handful of times at a couple local "big" (medium) sized stores, but they only put them up when they get a few pieces, and pull it when OOS, and I always seem to get there in-between. Oh, and I've recently noticed a couple of those locals that had a collectibles section where MPs and other things like SHMA, NECA, or Gundam kits would be have gotten rid of the signs and flexed in electronics overstock. Very worrying. Here I was hoping we'd get HMR or DX in those spots one day.
  6. My primary store had oddly dropped Core, Deluxe, and Voyager class from the planogram, and finally stocked Leader class (always had a tag, but never stocked). Given how many less Leaders there are, I can't say I'm happy overall. If I had a car and hit all local stores weekly (not happening), I'd still probably end up with 60% of a years Target TF offerings, and probably still no MPs.
  7. But, still a Target 4-pk, yeah? Thrust, Redwing, Leadfoot...all were hard for me (Still don't have Leadfoot) despite their Target exclusivity. What sucks most is that I am in NYC which is filled with Targets (predominantly small to medium format stores), yet often don't see any of these pop up locally compared to a heartland store where they might sit until being clearanced out. It's infuriatiing, but not as bad as dealing with Walmart who don't even have one store here.
  8. I sound impossible to please, but I really would prefer the 1J head. GBP armor, as was available with the Yammie, would be great too. I always picture the grey low-vis in that fighting amongst skyscrapers.
  9. Well, I did grab one from *gulp* LP, and it arrived in immaculate condition.
  10. Looks like someone tried to clean them with acetone.
  11. I suspect some of us might need oxygen if not just need to sit down to truly contemplate that one. Collecting those would probably would result in divorce for some, and involuntary commitment proceedings for others. I'm all in, of course.
  12. If its really a Yammie callback, it should have GBP armor.
  13. I remember when old BBC licensees like Dapol and Product Enterprise exhausted all the Dalek liveries that had been (up to that point), and just went crazy with odd colors, glitter, and then got graffiti artists to do paintjobs. Both moves were at the end of their licenses. I see CCP milking their molds for Godzilla (Hedorah even getting a graffiti version too), but like sofubi, there's more precedent of success in sales in that genre. Maybe now it will be with Macross too.
  14. Also forgot to say earlier: Despite those odd colors, KC does seem to have learned the visor color is better matched to the body color or being clear than being green.
  15. Speaking of yellowing, it would great if KC could get around any licensing issue by issuing a color that would turn the just right Kakizaki DYRL green if you just left it in the sun.
  16. Again, not to come to their defense, but I've only ever ordered once from LP, a DX VF-1D, and they sent it to me well-packed in a shipper box with the Bandai shipper wrapped in bubblewrap within. From what I read subsequently, that experience would seem to be the exception. Still, most of the LP hate I see seems to be references to their repute rather than firsthand accounts. I'd be interested to know how many here have had personal experiences that made them say one time with LP was enough.
  17. That's what's killing me seeing this lime green one when I was hoping for a Kakizaki green one. Again, I'd be down for that; even in metallic green.
  18. Where'd ya order from?
  19. https://anime-export.com/index.php?product=74629 That page is blank to me. This one is not: https://anime-export.com/index.php?product=74677
  20. Sometimes, I think you just post links to show you've bought the last one. 😉
