I wonder if a new delay to any orders not shipped are due to the defect issue. Maybe there's a pause because Bandai is making promises of a resolution? Pie in the sky thinking, perhaps.

Same. Certainly I rated them higher than LP. Ironically, since Schrödinger's Ostritch would more likely seem a Bandai issue, LP is faultless so far. Of course, we'll see what they offer.... Like @Sayroll, and especially after my AE experience, I'm not accepting being on the hook for this one.

I seriously hope you don't have any breakage. They just shorted me on a shipping compensation for an item they sent that wasn't new, but charged as such. They're sending me a replacement but they knew they had me against a wall here, and will only ship it at my cost (despite them acknowledging the fault was not mine). That will probably be my last ever order with them. Frankly, their site sucks, and they have no mailing list. I should have expected something else might be wrong with them before this, but lesson learned now.

Ain't touching until I hear back from LP first.

Obviously, I stopped from doing anything with mine when I saw the damage, and now wait for LP to hear from FedEx or Bandai, or both, but from what I can tell, it's gorgeous and everything I want from a VT-1 otherwise. If you could get one that's not damaged, I wouldn't dissuade you from grabbing it.

I hate to say this, but I heard ZERO rattling in the box before I opened the shipping box, the Bandai shipper, or even the retail box. It was snapped off, but laying flat and not moving around. I think static charge might have held it in place. I only ordered the one (because I can't afford multiples, and barely this one), but I WOULD OPEN ALL I ORDERED, if it was little ol' me. If you resell your extra sealed one some day, you may have to deal with a refund situation if this issue come back to haunt. I know I would always worry about that.

That so many replied to that FB post with "glue it" was disturbing. It's like they are all shills for the retailers.

If anyone sees this VT-1 complaint on social media WITH a Bandai reply, even in Japanese, PLEASE post a link here to it. I want to join that discourse with them even if I have to use Google Translate.

I suspected as much. Depending on LP, I may have to take you up on that. I don't trust my Carpal Tunnel-ridden hands to do it myself.

Yeah, I feel like I'm in limbo here. Wish I were a cat. At least I could enjoy playing with the box.

Hate to say this, but saw the same when I opened the box from LP. They initially say I should reach Bandai, but the shipping box does have a slight dent, so it may be due to a drop during shipping. It's hard to say for sure. Still, I am talking with LP about it to see what will be done. If it IS a defective item, and Bandai is responsible, am I up the creek without a paddle being in the USA?

Hard to say LP hasn't restored their reputation right now. And, frankly, despite many complaining about LP, apparently a LOT of us took a chance on them again.

Would be interested if they did the LV 1J, or a Woodland Camo like Yamato did for a 1A.
