I was thinking, they're probably just overeacting, then I DL'ed the music myself. OUCH... I think my ears are still bleeding.

Also on ebay you'll find combo sets that offer the valk, fastpacks, as well as the GBP armor. With the GBP armor you get several extra parts that really help enhance the valks final look. New DYRL fixed posed hands, and side armor covers along with a now grey backpack cover. Some might complain this makes the toys transformation nonperfect, but these are merely optional parts and in no way impede the function of the core transformation mechanism.

Think of it this way, movie Starscream is the final culmination of all of SS's wishing that he had a form that could stand toe to toe with Megatron. Though, he will still probably get his butt kicked the moment Megs shows up. poor screamer. Yeah, in the cartoon Starscream was a bit of a back stabbing wussy, but I think alot of people are fond of his marvel UK comic form where he was a little smarter and braver, though still a back stabbing b*stard. I've always prefered the Marvel comics over the cartoon. Maybe because its the transformers continuity where my favorite characters, Rachet and shockwave, really shine.

I know alot of people here are not beast war fans, but look what happened when BW's dramatically changed the franchise. It was awsome. Tformers has been through so many different incarnations that I see the movie as just one more continuity being added to the franchise. Most other comic heros have several different on going continuities, why not transformers? I'm hoping that the movie will cause enough of a surge in the popularity of transformers so that more people will start reading the comics and revisiting the old cartoons, giving hasbro and takara more reason to make toys of every single obscure transformer under the sun. Bring on Jihaxus! I gotta ask, has anyone ever read the bio for Starscream that was in that book that dreamwave released a few years back. It gave SS a int of 4. Sheesh, and it gave skywarp an int of 10! I was like, WTF!

You should be very sorry. Just don't suggest a Tetris movie. ummmm whoops....

And they've already made a doom movie and AVP is getting a sequel. Somtimes these things can suprise you and be better than they have any right to be. Most of the time they don't. At least they havn't announced a robocop vs terminator movie.

Really, it's very easy. Just unscrew the transforming gun arm and remove the spring. Put the mechanism back the way you found it. Unscrew the other arm, insert the spring, screw back togeather, and voila. I suppose I can try and take a few pictures and make a tutorial, but really it's a very easy process. If you've taken apart spring loaded mechanisms before you should have no trouble.
-
sure, it just slides normally without springing back into place all the time.

Okay, for anyone that has a movie megatron interesting QC error. It's very fixable, but its annoying that you have to do this slight change in the 1st place. Anyone who has one has probably noticed that it looks like the flail arm should launch, and that the arm that morphs into his cannon arm is oddly spring loaded meaning you have to hold it down to keep it in place. It seems that Hasbro put the spring in the wrong arm. Crack those arms open, change which spring the arm is in, and voila, the gimmicks make alot more sense.

THe feet also have automorphing tech.

Give it a chance and play with a friends SS if you can. The toy really grows on you over time. it is alot of fun to play with, despite being ugly as sin.

Cool. Guess we get a Nemesis repaint before a Magnus repaint.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars CG TV series
GobotFool replied to GRAND CANNON's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Finally got around to watching the preview. The animation is definitly not pixar (by many miles), but it's certainly better than alot of the TV grade CG animation I have seen. I think my only real disapointment is that Lucasfilm feels the need to make this 3D CG in the 1st place. I really loved the clone wars shorts that aired on cartoon network a while back. I enjoyed the style and the storytelling. I dunno, I just hate it when people make something CG just because it's trendy, not because it's right for the story. Still, I might give this a chance when it comes out. So far the only thing that really really bugged me was that the non action animation (scenes where the characters were just standing there trying to emote) was very stiff. The action looks alright, though when a few storm troopers fell over dead it looked like an action figure falling over, not a real live (har har) corpse. I'm glad they are keeping the characters very stylized, because if they didn't the awkward animation would become even more obvious. Also I don't get people's desire to have all CG animated cartoons look super real. I mean, why bother making it a cartoon at all if all your aiming for is a absolutely realistic human likeness? Though in the end, I can forgive alot as long as the storytelling is decent. So yeah, I'll give the 1st few episodes a shot. Also who knows, this could just be a sample thrown togeather to give the fans a preview. But I'm optimistic that way. -
That w00ts, sounds encouraging. Though, I gotta admit, one bonus about using oblivions engine might be the herb mixing carries over. Imagine, running around, finding chemicals, just to make the perfect stim. I think just the idea that they might give you a meth lab to do that in would be hilarious.

They have washcloths? O.O Anyway, of all the deluxes I say the best mold is ratchet. Very solid and looks decent in both modes. I suppose the only downside is the awful yellow green he is molded in.

Unknown mecha at Wonderfestival 2007 Winter
GobotFool replied to amsci99's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
pretty neat. I'm guessing it might just be a made up mecha for wonderfest. -
Oh and Deluxe Arcee is purple. Here is a snap of my tformer haul. Yes, I'm pathetically addicted to transformers and will probably die a very lonely man.
-
It'll say deluxe on the packaging. It should also be larger, and more complex, also it has a head sculpt that is in line with the general aesthetic of the movie designs.
-
was it the deluxe or scout version? There are currently two arcee molds out.
-
I did a google search before that and didn't get much. I mostly found some old wwII scale charts. I was just asking, I wasn't demanding. Didn't mean to sound pushy if I did.
-
Damn... they couldn't have made starscream somthing a little smaller? David, your the jet expert, can you make a scale chart of all the current fighters in service?
-
A leaderclass Blackout would also be nice, or maybe because he's so big he could be an ultimate class.
-
I don't think any of the voyagers have ball jointed necks. I find this odd, as aren't those basic ball and socket joints cheaper the other varieties?
-
Still, some ball jointed necks would be nice. I agree, Ironhide needs a ball jointed neck badly. Again. I hope the movie does really well, so more adult oriented transforming figures are made.
-
I wouldn't call them improvisations. Some figures look best in a neutral pose, arms straight, legs straight, nice upright curve to the spine. Some figures, because of the way they are molded, need to be posed more dramatically. Ironhide is such a figure. The V shape of Ironhide’s chest/shoulderpads makes it seem like his shoulders are raised. If you put him in a neutral pose this makes him appear as if he is shrugging. (At least I think it does!) But if you just raise the arms outward to a more dramatic degree, and bend them at the elbows it looks like he is pumping iron, or straining his servos to raise those huge guns of his! Bend his knees, lean him forward and spread his legs wide in an A-stance and it gives him an aggressive hunched over look that suits the figure well. I do not know if that makes any sense but that is how I feel Ironhide looks best. The only reason I spent so much time fiddling with the pose to get him right is because I generally pose all my transformers in plain vanilla neutral poses, as most transformer toys look silly (at least to me) when posed more dramatically.
