I think Joli's playing Grendel's mama. She's scary enough for the role. BTW, check out some of the trailers on the offical site. it looks pretty cool. Definitly several leaps beyond Final Fantasy and Polar Express.

Get your mind out of the gutter man! at least it doesn't come up between his legs I think the only major disapointment with leader brawl is I wish his turret connected to his arm like it does on the deluxe.
-
Nice repaint. I suspect that after all that work this is a display only piece.
-
Yikes. While there is something not exactly right about the way they look, if you didn't tell me these pics were of CG people, I would never have been able to tell. The uncanny valley is getting alot smaller.

Wait? so Tony Stark is secretly Mcguyver? He can build power armor from bubblgum and tinfoil?
-
So do I. Don't know why, but I'm really digging the look of the cartoon and the toys.
-
So how is this working? Thats the prototype suit, and later he upgrades to the newer, sleaker more form fitting red suit?
-
actually it reminds me of cyclonus.
-
looks like it might be good. Starscream looks and sounds awesome.
-
I thought he was going to be fighting communists in this one.

While I like the new brawl alot, and plan on nabbing the leader class toy, I too would have prefered they used a normal looking abram's tank, mostly because this brawl seems to be the closest we're ever going to get to the canceled military alternators line.

awesome! these movie and post movie toys look great!

Wasn't brawl some recycled movie prop from XXX?
-
Awesomeness!!!

heh, kinda like the f-16s that never show up?

Yah, It just drives me nuts. Is there any particular reason they do this? or is it just one of those little oddities found in recent films?

Its been ages since I've watched a movie and had a grin on my face throughout the whole thing. This was the case with transformers. Like the 1st jurassic park, I can forgive alot of its flaws because it was pretty much pure fun. Bay still ranks pretty low in my book, but in spit of him this turned out to be a really fun movie. If what is in the above link is true, and Desanto, The man who poured major imput into the 1st two x-men movies just gave up without much of a fight regarding the creative aspect of transformers, well I do have less respect for him. Also, something I noticed in this movie. Did is seem odd to anyone that in a few scenes it was light outside, and then not much later it was night time outside?

KILL!!!!!!!!! Nah just teasing you. It's all cool, while I really enjoyed this movie, and after having watched it several times, each with a big grin on my face, I have a list of complaints a mile long. 1. Waaaaay to much emphasis on the army men and command. I certainly think these characters were needed, but there roles could have been minimalized. The focus should have been on Sam trying to help the transformers fit into thier new surroundings. Ultimatly my single central complaint, which all other complaints revolve around is that this movie was 60% a standard, run of the mill Micheal Bay movie, and only 40% transformers. Though the 40% that was transformers was truly great. Here is an interesting article. I don't care what bay says, I still think the man's a bit of a jerk. I've read a few interview with him and he seriously has a love affair going on with himself, kind of reminded me of listening to Tarantino talk about himself. :-p http://www.rottentomatoes.com/news/comments/?entryid=432709

Always happy to help ruin you summer.

Nope, the Bourne Ultimatum will have shacky cam syndrom just like in the 2nd one. JK LOL Transformers is like a Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster, expensive and bad for the head. But! In a good way. I look forward to seeing the Bourne Ultimatum, mostly because its probably the perfect way to rehabilitate my blockbuster battered brain.

I agree a lot could be yanked out, if it makes you feel any better the two script writers are not going to be back, which makes me hope that maybe tom desanto will take on a larger role in writing the script (he did the 1st two x-men movies). Desanto is pretty good at weeding out the extra bits while juggling a bazillion characters. The biggest problem I have with bay as a director is that he's can be kind of sloppy at times. The fact that barricade just disappears is really bad. It wouldn't have cost that much extra in money or screen time to create a small scene where barricade sees prime completely waste bonecrusher and turn tail and run away like a little sissy, would it? He wouldn’t even have to transform into a bot, just hit the breaks, and do a 180. Hell that would have been pretty funny. There are a couple of other small little scenes that never went anywhere, like what the hell happened to the f-16s taking off?
-
Thats no to hard now, considering that megatron is dead. I'd like to see prime get a trailer that he can combine with.

Thats why you down a couple of beers before seeing this movie.

Oh, I wouldn't want all robots either, I just wish the transformers had more of a chance to be actual characters instead of elaborate set peices. But in all fairness to the movie, when you break break down the different groups established in the movie, the soldiers, the command staff, the hackers, the sector 7 people, the decepticons, and the autobots. They all got similar amounts of screen time. I'd just like to see them move from a supporting role to a staring role. For example, at one point I'd love to see a scene where Ratchet is walking around in the woods with spike and they come across some campers, and ratchet explains to them how he loved to party on cybertron and helps them cook their hot dogs. Okay okay, yes I'm a total geek for remembering that from the comics, but I want to see more antics involving culture shock revolving around the transformers having to learn how to cope with their new surroundings.
