I like the CMs alot better than the megahouse *booo to parts formers!* I guess people like the model like look of the megahouse, which is okay. Just don't be suprised when you pull it out and say, man... the matt finish looks pretty cool, but why does the plastic feel so thin... As opposed to the CMS whose plastic, from the experience I've had with their labors, should be pretty sturdy. CMS looks like a toy, and It will play like a toy. It has no complex, delicate finish to scratch up while playing with it, unlike so many binaltechs. I'll probably still pick up the megahouses as they do look good, but I want something I can also pick up and play with and not have to keep a small container around to keep all the small parts in.

I'll probably grab at least one from all lines. The CMS will look great with micro-men sized figures, the MH is the same scale as the Garland (if they do a rook I am definitely grabbing her to place next to my Garland), and at 1/10 the beagle should be about the same size as most larger scale anime figures.

From what I understand they will be, its just that a single mold can transform into two different robot forms. If you look at the picture you can see the hood now makes his back. I think what's going to happen is they'll give it a new head and all you have to do is flip the torso around and voila, it's Sideswipe. I personally love complex transformations, but I also appreciate simple transformations pulled off very well. The old 1/55 is a good example. Also classics Bumblebee is a great example of a fairly simple, elegant transformation. The only transforming toy that frustrated me to the point of wanting to throw it across the room has been the Star Wars transforming Death Star.

MP megs is worse. Dave if you like smokescreen and never got a rx-8 mold I really have to recommend nabbing one. Its Smokescreens mold refined to perfection.

how much would theses old toys be worth?

if you want to unload the exosquad/robotech toys i suggest selling them as a lot. -
I find it odd that people translate shiny plastic as cheap. The final finish really doesn't have anything to do with the quality of the plastic, there are plenty of cheap crappy plastic toys with matt finishes. I've said it before, I've havn't heard nice things about alot of MH's stuff, so I'll wait for other people to grab on and tell me how they are. I've owned a bunch of CMS products, and while CMS does tend to be more toy like, their stuff has always been rock solid.

I wish he had hood feet like he should. Oh well. It looks like the reason he doesnt is so you can paint it red, flip the torso around and voila, you have sideswipe.

You might get some cash for the small mospeada. I don't think the robotech/exo-squad guys are worth that much. -
I don't get why they couldn't just call him Decepticon Octane. Thats what they did with Jazz (well they added autobot at the beginning of his name ) and a few other ones they had copyright issues with.

I've always wondered, why havn't they gotten around to making a HCMP for the dendrobium? This seems like the perfect line for it.
-
allegedly it is. No one has seen pictures of the transformation though.

The old Gakken is about 1/8 I think, so the beagle at 1/10 should be smaller by a good bit.

damn, all I thought that had to come off were the front shocks. I may still get one, but I want PT. I'm defineitly going for the CMS.
-
I've been a suporter of CMS for a while, and this dancouga is nice, but not 500 nice. I'm happy with my SOC.

Yes! Give us a warpath, turn all the minibots that transformed into big vehicles into ultras!
-
Wow, so he thinks real A-10s have a big clear blue plastic dome between the two engines?

Slick. But I suspect the price tag will make most mortal men weep.

I can't remember if this ever came up in previous discussions of the ride armor design, but I remember how people were talking about how the leg guards are supposed to attach to the lower leg armor to facilitate the ride armors function as a suit of power armor. Did the forward suspension that attached to the arm guards remain attached in armor mode to help with the power armor aspect of the ride armor? From the drawings it looks like that is Beagle’s interpretation of the ride armor.

The megahouse looks pretty, but all the part removal for the bike (yes I know the forearm panels are supposed to come off to attach to the arms, but I remember that even the old model managed to keep the hip armor on while transforming). Oh and when he yanks the poor riders head off to get the armor on, all I could think was Ouch! Still they look nice, they definitely seem optimized for the ride armor mode, while CM's seem optimized for people who like perfect transformation. I'll probably grab both eventually. I really wish some one would do 1/12. I'd love to display a ride armor with my other 1/12 figures. Of course the ultimate ride armor would be 1/6. Maybe hot toys? Come on hot toys, you gave us a power loader, make me some ride armor!!!

I'd certainly support a line of alternator sized cars based on the G1 vehicles and transformation schemes. They don't even have to be licensed just vaguely look like the vehicle they are supposed to be (and most of them can't be anyway). In some ways I'd rather them go for character design accuracy than alt mode accuracy.

Got to agree with you there. A man is dead, nothings going to bring him back. Though when I placed this on the scale of tragic all I meant was there are people who do destroy themselves, whether it be suicide, drugs or alcohol and then there are just accidents like a plane crash. I suppose with Heath Ledger its so sudden and unexpected it kind of leaves me at a loss for words.

This topic is a tender topic for me as someone who has clinical depression. Having it isn't really about oh poor me, the world hates me, ect ect, though those thoughts are common. I got over a lot of the self pity caused by my depression. However, it doesn't change the fact that there are times that for no good reason I'm emotionally low. Even if life is good, the sun is shining, the birds are singing, a new macross toy is sitting on my desk (okay, that hypothetically might cheer me up a little) not much is going to make me happy. Even prescription pills don't always help. Clinical depression hurts, it’s like a chronic ache or pain, and no amount of effort can make it go away completely, you just have to tough it out. Mine is mild. I've heard of people who can't even will themselves to get out of bed to eat, so for some toughing it out really isn't an option. BTW, is it true? It was case of prescription drugs not mixing well? If that is the case it makes this probably one of the most tragic celebrity deaths I know of. A man trying to get well takes his meds, but they don't mix right. I know he should have told his doctor he was taking other meds, but honestly, when a doctor gives you a prescription drug one of the 1st things he’s supposed to ask, are you taking so and so drugs, if so these will react violently with each other and kill you.

Wow... I think if the movie ended like that I'd have left the theater and tossed myself of a bridge, it would have been that depressing.

Sometimes when the things are grim, and you've hit rock bottom, the only way to get your spirits back up is to laugh about it. Or laugh at other people who have it worse. Either way works.

I just heard he OD'd on sleeping pills.
