1. DiGi Charat-nyo! A series originally lasting like 10 minutes an episode-nyo! About 20 or so episodes-nyo! About some alien princess and her friend landing in Tokyo and moving into a comic store's attic-nyo! If your annoyed with my nyo's dont watch the series-nyo! 370316 Please provide me a link-nyo. I'm looking forward to any other anime series to keep me from total boredom-nyo.
2. Digi-Charat What is this...
3. When I said the latest OP theme, I actually meant OP theme # 3 9 - OP3 - Taiyou no Mannaka he (Bivattchee) . Talk about a Naruto intro... I haven't seen the 4th OP theme nor its respective animated OP sequence, yet. OP 1 - Days by Flow and its respective anime opening was probably one of the few anime sequences that I loved so much I watched it in every episode. I love how the violin section just lets the music soar then quickly introduces the percussion and guitar/rock. The vocals are quite enjoyable, even though I don't understand it. As well, the animation is in-sync with the theme. I really don't like the Hip-Hop style of vocals in the Japanese langauge, see OP # 2. And # 3 with the dude screaming on the mike, he can't keep his tonality quite right. So no.
4. So I’ve checked out episode 28. Is Eureka gonna have that new hair style? Don’t really like it though. And Talho…weird look I guess. Oh yes, I hate the new OP theme; the opening video isn’t all that great either. It’s too bland on one situation. So far the first OP theme and it’s video have been the best.
5. Dayam. Talho tells DA TRUFF! Laid down da law! 369893 Got a link? That'd be nice. EDIT: TAA DAA!!!~~~ http://bt.nanashi-fansubs.com:2710/torrent...acb1ad7.torrent
6. In the order that I like most to least: 1. DYRL 2. Macross Plus 3. SDF-Series/2012FB. I consider these a two-pack rather than seperate. 4. Macross Zero 5. Macross II Never seen 7 or Dynamite, so I really can't rate them. I honestly can put my full devotion to the model kits and Valkyries. I never really was into the whole Zentradi conflict, as these alien beings just seemed, well cliched. somewhat. Althought I do find quite a few similar ties with the Macross universe and that of Wing Commander (the Kilrathi fleet). So yeah, I wish they had the SDF series versus perhaps a group of humans who were enemies, as somewhat akin to the Macross Zero setting. I somehow prefer modern technology vs modern technology than alien technology.
7. Just saw 26 and 27. Wowsers. I didn't quite expect it to get down to this depth. But then I wonder what would happen if Renton stayed with the Beam household. I'd probably end up hitting Ray. ^ ^
8. Hmm... if I were to get the Macross Launch Arm and get a strike valk...
9. Meh, I'm more into the ships and vessels of the SW universe. I think the only 1/6 fig I'll get related to SW is the Stormtrooper, and perhaps Darth Vader from Medicom. I prefer the 1/6 figures with some mask or something to cover their face, since the face sculpt either makes or breaks the figure as a whole. Snake's face was pretty spot on, if you ask me. Now you see why I'd LOVE to get my hands on the Dragon/Medicom Stray Dogs- Jin Roh figure.
10. Just watched Episode 23. I really don't like Renton now, and I agree with Holland grinding on him. "I MUST SAVE EVERYONE. I'M THEIR HERO! I MUST PROTECT EVEN PEOPLE I DON'T HAVE A CLUE ABOUT!" Thank God not all 14 year olds are like this. (Although I like his attitude much more than Shinji's, but this isn't really saying much.)
11. His posability isn't that great. Kusanagi can flex better than him, well, she's super (s)flexy compared to him. Snake wears a lot of layers of clothing restricting his movements, as well as all the gear on him can snap off if not handled carefully.
12. Still the price.... $150 CDN each isn't exactly cheap. I'd love to get the two Evangelion girls - Rei/Asuka, the SAS Medicom, and the three USMC Marines from Aliens. That's six figures right there - a grand total of about $900. This makes the PS3 look so affordable.
13. What sort of fan are you talking about? Mind you my window is about a good 15 feet away from my workspace, and I've got my exercise equipment where the window is. It's a pain to move everything about. I'm using Tamiya Cement in a bottle with the brush applicator. For paints, I primarily use Tamiya Acrylics for air brush and Testors for weathering. Humbrol has an intensely bad smell...
14. I don't think Kaneda's bike was a super bike in the first place. You have to think here, Kaneda's a gang leader, not a multi-million dollar head of a super bike factory. I don't think his bike was meant for extreme racing. Just look at how the seat is positioned, like a low rider/Harley instead of the super bikes requiring the rider to lean instead of sit back. Also, maybe technology took somewhat of a "dive" for the regular citizens of Tokyo/Japan after WWIII, where all the cool stuff were funded for the government. If you read the manga, there's tons of cool stuff for the military... So perhaps this bike of his was something he managed to salvage from the WWIII wreckage - who knows. All in all, it's a semi-decent ride, but a "ricer" at heart. ALL SHOW, NO GO! Now if we're gonna talk about Cloud's Fenrir...
15. So I've been doing much of my gluing and sanding of model parts down in my basement. I open up the window (a very small window about 12 inches high and about 7.5 feet from the basement floor) to get *some* air circulation. Recently my parent's have been complaining about the smell of the glue and putty and saying how toxic it is. They want me to pretty move much of my modeling stuff outside to the garage now where I do my airbrushing. What type of environment do you do your work in? I personally love the basement, as my swivel chair can go from the computer to work desk in about 2 seconds. Plus I get my 40 some hours of various music to listen to. Damn. Looks like I gotta move.
16. 10 years eh? Well I've inhaled it for about 6 months now. So is smoking worse. Let's find out.
17. What's funny is I got the die cast AKIRA bike about a week ago. It's 1/12 scale and looks fine. However I gotta say the tires don't seem to hold much traction on the real thing. Also talk about (the lack) of turn radius! Yeah the engine looks somewhat weak, if it has to haul the thing around. Here's a few "specs" of the bike, according to the box: Overall length: 2947 mm Overall height: 1171 mm incl shield Overall width: 831 mm Seat height: 340 mm Wheelbase: 2194 mm Ground clearance: 76 mm Dry weight: 154 kg Riders: 1 Braking distance: 9.9 m (at 50 km/h) Minimum turning radius: 3.4 m Tire size: 18 inches (front), 19 inches (rear) Power generator: Cold superconduction generator Maximum power: 83 kw/12,500 rpm Maximum voltage: 12,000 V Sterring system: Power support steering Front Axle caster angle: 39 degrees 12' Rear Axle caster angle: 3 degrees Frame: Ceramic Box frame COWL: FRP and Carbon Energy consumption at rest: 2.3 W Maximum speed: 243 km/h Drag Coefficient: Cd=0.24 Equipped with: Anti-lock breaks, auto-navigation system, forward-looking radar, CD player, Glove compartment. Headlamp: 11w Neo halogen laser light 0 to 400 m: 9.8 sec 0 to 100 km/h (60 MPH): 8.7 sec Battery charging time: 1 MW every 40 sec ( can run for 2 hours at full throttle on fully charged battery) Why not post some pics of the toy?
18. Interestingly, just today I just bought 12 bottles at $2.99 each of various colors of Tamiya - quite a few different shades of the metallic scheme. I've always wondered how Tamiya would react with water, but I guess I found out the easy way. I bought the quarter-litre of Tamiya X-20A thinner, as well as a few smaller ones so I can clean brushes etc. It's expensive, but a worthy investment. I believe each of us learns about the do's and dont's of modelling through trial and error, and also just as important: advice.
19. I got mine today, thanks Valk. Just wondering... was this supposed to come with some instructions? I don't have any instructions...
20. Oh was she the one that made you watch like the ENTIRE season of S-Moon after showing her Evangelion? Oh.... I've only been interested in CLAMP'S X/1999 Stuff, but now that season is old, and somewhat irrelevant, seeing that it's a good 7 years after "The End of the World".
21. Honeymoon? So does your newly wed wife watch it too? Gosh, my hubby still watches cartoons. LOL
22. I honestly didn't even realize the thread title was changed until someone pointed it out. And Sithlord, that would be my entire collection of the 1/6 stuff. If I listed anything before, it'd probably be what I want.
23. Thank you very much Viceland. I was sorta waiting for someone to say something. And let me add, even though this sounds absouletly cliched, my camera makes the Elintseeker look so odd. The lighting from the camera doesn't work for close ups; turning it off makes the subject too dark. So yes, my Elintseeker looks much more detailed than what you see there.
24. I actually don't find the T3 version of the T-850 that appealing. The T2 version with the classic Ray Ban biker glasses and the straight leather jacket are much more striking, if you ask me. And for Vasquez, I'd get her second. However for some reason I find Hicks more appealing to look at. I love armoured figures. Sighs for the lack of the Medicom/Dragon Jin-Roh Panzer corps.
25. In other news, even Imperial Stormtroopers need to take a break to eat.. (Sorry for derailing there...whoops!)
