THE UN-OFFICIAL COLOR SCHEME THREAD
Jedi Knight replied to the white drew carey's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Hellohikaru.......haven't heard from you in a while. Just wondering if you ever had a chance to finish that top view of the VF-2SS. -
As for my own collecting valks, I pretty much had to quite "cold-turkey", due to increasing living expenses, and replacing/upgrading my computer gear and other electronics. There are still 2 1/60 and 1 1/75 that I'd really like to add to my collection, but I fear that may take a long time before I can hunt them down. Who knows, my next valk purchase may be the mythical YF-19 FP. I may even have to hold off on getting a VF-0, for a while.

THE UN-OFFICIAL COLOR SCHEME THREAD
Jedi Knight replied to the white drew carey's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Hmmm, I as far as I know, no one has done a top view, yet. Probably the best top view available, is from the TIAS Macross Plus Movie Edition book, of the YF-21. -

Who said anything about a top view of the VF-22?? -
Are there any left? If so, I'd like one. Please let us know what the status of this project is. Thanks. Oh yeah.........those look AWESOME!!!!!!!

YF-19FP SACRIFICE. What could you do without?
Jedi Knight replied to Shin Densetsu Kai 7.0's topic in Toys
The YF-19 that Isamu Dyson posted (at the top of this page) looks like something out of Evangelion (looking at the lower torso, hips, and legs). I for one, prefer a long sleek nose, as that gives the best proportions in fighter-mode. But trying to work around that length for a good battroid-mode, is tough. Hmm, what about some sort of sliders in the hips, to bring them up a bit, to limit the "low-rider" look? -
Sweeeeeeet!!!!!!!!!! I personally, never tire of seeing this scheme, as it is one of my favorites. Unfortunately, I have yet to save up to buy a custom, and I SEVERELY lack the skills to do one on my own.

Anyone have a $!@ problem with Canadian Customs?
Jedi Knight replied to soze's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Well, good news!!!!!! My package was eventually returned to Major Tom, and apparently in great unopened condition. He has now reshipped it, via another method. I'm really hopeing for better luck this time around. -
Anyone have a $!@ problem with Canadian Customs?
Jedi Knight replied to soze's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Well, I think I can out-do you all. I bought 2 books from Major Tom, and he shipped them on June 15, by USPS Express. It is now August 16, and apparently, the package is supposedly being returned to him, because some customs papers were missing. The package has sat at some customs office for 2 MONTHS!!!!!!!!!!!! -

SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -
That cool custom has been posted on MW before, but I don't remember if it was the old forums or these new ones. Anyway, it's always nice to revisist well-done and/or unique custom jobs.

THE UN-OFFICIAL COLOR SCHEME THREAD
Jedi Knight replied to the white drew carey's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
It's been pretty quite in this thread for a while. Anyone got anything new? (nudge-nudge) Hellohikaru...........how are those other VF-2SS views going? -
I watch the movie edition JUST for Guld's extended fight with the Ghost/Sharon. I own both versions, and love both. Yes, there are 'odd' events (see above posts) in the OVA, but on the whole, I like still like. Oh yeah, and WELCOME to MW!!!

SDF2 MegaRoad-01 Continuation Story Trailer
Jedi Knight replied to kodiack12345's topic in Fan Works
Well, I think that single frame/cell looks great, and I can't wait to see the finished trailer. Who knows, maybe after that, there will be some additional people interested enough, to assist in pulling off your 90min movie. -
Well, actually, personal preference, I think. But for all of mine, so far, I have used plain HB.
-
Of course, my custom will have the all the fast pasks. CC - way back when you did this scheme, I PM'd you a special request for a full-armor version with all the packs in place,, and you had it done for me the next day. I still have it, but didn't post it because the armor covers alot of the fighter, and hides most of the color scheme.

Here!!!! Here!!!!

Another reason it was cancelled..........the US was convinced missiles were going to be the fighting vehicle of the future. So, the Canadian gov't bought all these silos, that TOTALLY failied in our northern climate. And look, fighters are STILL being designed, built and USED. I'm NOT trying to start any flame wars or arguments, but the Arrow was designed to be only an interceptor. LOL...They even had designs for future designs to shoot down ICBMs!!! (and even low-orbit satellites??? - I'm not sure about this) Granted, a very limited-use interceptor, but it was also not designed with the intention in-mind of dog-fighting. The F-117 is a stealth (fighter/bomber?), and could not dog-fight to save it's life. It couldn't even run from a fight if it wanted. But anyway, PLEASE....no flame wars. I agree, it was definately a HUGE money pit, with MASSIVE cost over-runs. Especially with trying for a new airframe, new engines, new weapons systems, and other new technology. All from scratch. Gutsy, VERY risky; setting up for a BIG fall. Unfortunately, it did not pay off. Hmm, if there is interest, maybe we should start a new thread just for the Arrow, instead of derailing this Vulcan topic any further.

You're not the only one.
-
Ahh...the Canadian Supersonic Jetfighter. The best of it's time. Actually, it was classified as an interceptor. Imagine, Mach 2+ in 1958!!!!!!!!
-
Sorry for helping hijack this topic. That is great news, regarding the Vulcan bomber.

Now THAT is a huge debate. One might have escaped the governments cutting torches. The whole Arrow story is IMO, a tragedy. As a final stroke, the government demanded that all Arrows be scrapped where they sat, on the runway, and all models, sketches, papers, EVERYTHING be destroyed. but of course, stuff did survive, but an entire flyable aircraft? Most say no, but I personally like to think that maybe, somewhere, there might be one. Any aircraft plans that were saved? YUP!! I have a detailed schematic poster (approx. 4 feet x 6 feet) Check out this site for lots of Arrow pics, including schematic drawings. http://www.avroarrow.org/AvroArrow/index.html and more specifically.... http://www.avroarrow.org/AvroArrow/arrowtechdrawings2.html
