It would be interesting to see the size of the crest comparison between Max and Mirage. If the same, I could only speculate the reason for the larger than cg rendering is the cost of resizing.😁

it's pretty much the same in person. the white is on the warmer side with a bit of red and yellow in it. Nice! Hope you find some gems while you're there.😁

That looks great! I don't really mess with panel washing but feel this one may benefit hugely on some subtle panel washing to bring out the details.

The armor pack is cool but what are the chances of it being sold as standalone vs combo set with another 01S? - I'd prefer just the amors but it's unlikely eh.

Looks like a model kit box if it wasn't for the window on the backside. The placement of the figure though, right next to the corners where impact usually occurs, dangerously close.

it don't look too bad, mine was way worse out of the box. Looks like the shoulder hinge joints are not pushed up all the way. transform it to massage & work out the kinks.

Thanks for the info! Seeing that the update has been implemented on the worldwide version, something tells me the revival will most likely get the three screw treatment.

Any information on the number of screws on the hip joint for this upcoming release? - I don't have a renewal version, did it come with one or three screws?

Yup I did notice the paint on the black canopy frame meets Bandai's QC standards. I had to touch it up with semi-gloss black enamel paint where lights go through and reveal unpainted spots.

Oh boy did I hit the pause button so many times and slow it down by 0.25x speed to barely catch the valks in action. I am grateful they released this film because the short film at the beginning really got my interest piqued in Macross Frontier.

Hey, is that off-white, beige looking crotch piece supposed to be a part of the super pack? for someone who's never had one of these, the part looks unfinished and completely bland.

finally had some time to handle it this weekend. Besides what seemingly inevitable paint blemishes, what stood out on my copy was the upper left arm completely frozen and wouldn’t rotate at all.😆 Fixing it was as easy as undoing a couple of screws and scraping off residual overspray inside the joint. Also I kinda wish the color scheme was a tad closer to the box art which shows a hint of purple but I suppose Max is blue. the right intake cover on mine also suffered from tolerance issue and does not go in easily, as @Lolicon pointed out.

I wouldn't, unless you like to receive your toy with all eight corners banged up shipped in an imaginary box. I learned my lesson the hard way, try other vendors.

Yup the update was implemented on Max's VF-1A and been this way ever since. The GBP combo came with the nose cone with additional notch to prevent from opening up.

I got the valk last Thursday, thought I'd open to check it out the same day but it's still sitting in the corner of my room the way I received it...that's saying a lot.😁

I got mine from HLJ just today as well. Will check it out after work tonight. For the looseness in the ankles, aren't there any screws you can tighten? - no idea never handled 29 or 25. That was quick, it jumped from 25 to 27k yen when the previous release Bogue AX is still sitting at 25k.
