Not even gonna lie if I could've I would've especially given that I box'd my Alto YF-29 Full Set to put this guy out. I don't think it's a total flop it's just been a long time since I have seen Bandai/Tamashii drop the ball like this. If the Fold Projector Siegfried is a dud too I am just gonna take the L on that I guess because I haven't had any 31s yet. I've only heard good things about the bulk of the 31 line so far especially from @jenius videos so fingers crossed for the Speaker Pack/Fold Projector/Space Magic version. I know I am keeping my 31AX so I am gonna keep my PO for the super packs especially because it looks like I can mount some of @Xigfrid 31-series missiles with the packs on still. I still need to finish and paint them. That and Luna Park is the new king of bubble wrap and tamper tape so I'll forgive the delays for now. Guarantee there's a 1.5ver incoming after the review cycle is done tho

That's my guess as well. Mine actually just came in today and the droop out of the box doesn't seem to be as severe but I won't have time to really dig into it until after work tonight. I'm still really happy with how it looks but I definitely cycle stuff in and out of display every few months right now so it will get transformed a lot. I honestly just bought the Fold Projector Speaker VF31 and the Lil Draken's to have on the Walkure stand even if I am able to remedy some of the fighter mode issues.

I've actually seen a few Japanese toy reviewers discuss this as making a bit but not a total difference with the guns but maybe they didn't fully commit to the slide as you said. Did this help with the arm gap near the inner wing edge at all? That's honestly my biggest gripe visually (and structurally) with this release. I like the chonkier arms for battroid mode a lot but I hate how they mess with the fighter mode.

I've long since resigned myself to keep this in Battroid Mode where it looks best. I do like the beefier arm proportions but it's just a shame about the knock on effects. Looks like I chose a bad release for my first Delta valk. I planned on picking up a Hayate Siegfried without the emblem as well so I will just use the Walkure stand with that. I can't stand the back emblems outside of Arad's but not worth the late buyer price. I'll probably file my pegs like @DeathByAzns did as well and keep my fingers crossed for improvements on a later release

That I understand. I was only reading the subs on the video. When I PO'd it was the lowest price I could find when converted to USD I haven't checked to see if they've raised it. I agree with all those points and I wouldn't want to be coerced into paying for premium monthly membership. I'll definitely reconsider buying from them in the future armed with this knowledge. I do quite a bit of the Premium Bandai and Robot Spirits I have through KuramaToys and their prices are pretty much identical for shipping. 30-50 USD depending on weight is about what I remember for UPS/DHL pre-lockdown/scamdemic but I could easily mis-remember. Thanks for pointing this all out. As an update my tracking information from DHL has updated and they have the package. Conveniently the valk is looking to arrive the same day as the missiles from @Xigfrid shapeways shop.

I'm not sure why people are upset with this video. Maybe I am missing something. Seems like a pretty accurate depiction of how packages are handled lol. I'm not terribly concerned with resale value or completeness of the packaging so long as contents arrive alright. Especially with the VF-31AX having foam tray I am gonna have to replace the foam tray ASAP to keep it from yellowing over time

What's the story on that "Premium Shipping BS" first I've heard anything

Given the rates we are paying for DHL/UPS vs EMS is there no recourse/package insurance with DHL for damages to the parcel? That's pretty gnarly. I'd rather sit and wait for EMS and postal service if DHL has gone the way of FedEx

I don't know if this will qualify as necro'ing but going to a longer screw didn't fix it for me as when the initial failure occurred it split the housing at the back of the fan detail piece. Never thread into plastic or aluminum with steel! I ended up really haphazardly cementing it back together only after drilling through the joint to attempt the screw fix and identifying that the housing was cracked and finding that course of action didn't work for me. I lost use of that hip splay in cementing it but I managed to fix the valk and I locked the other hip joint in place as well to match and it's been fine ever since. Also to admit my own shame, in my frustration I had spilled a ton of the cement I was using out through the joint/intake assembly and I had to refinish the entire intake section on the side to remove the cured cement and restore the original surface. I managed to get it basically identical and even managed to repair the screw hole cover by filling the marks I had made in getting it off with cement and some plastic shavings and then just doing some finish sanding and hobby knife work. If that hadn't happened I probably would have retained the hip splay motion but with how tight those joints were on my valk it would have broken again for sure so I am content with it being fixed in place. When I got my Roy VF1 I had made sure to put a very very tiny amount of ballistol in all the roll pin'd joints and it has held up amazingly not too tight not too loose. It even survived a fall down carpeted stairs without even damaging the wing hardpoints or decals and has been transformed and messed with a ton since then and is still living on my desk. I hope this helps anybody that encounters any issues with their DX VF1 hip/leg joints in the future. These are really gorgeous pieces and it'd be a shame for them to get boxed or re-sold at a loss over something a lot of people have the skill to repair if they choose to do so.

I haven't specifically ordered the AX from NinNin but I have ordered a few Valks from them now. I had a horrible first experience with my YF-19 Full Set but they got it to me eventually and were very apologetic even though the two months of delays I had were due to issues with the carrier and not them mailing the package late/not mailing it. Since then I have managed to snag several items at or close to preorder pricing from them (such as the Roy VF1 and most of my YF-29s) and they have shipped in-stock items very fast. I think all us gaijin are getting the shaft right now on pre-orders with all the international logistics kerfluffles going on behind the scenes. Hope this helps put you at ease.

I ordered from LP and emailed them yesterday asking when they expected DHL to have the packages. I explained I understood Holiday closures etc as my sister lives in Yokohama and frequently has major delays in getting holiday packages out and they told me DHL should have the package within a week and that they had started getting orders mailed that day. If I remember correctly they Japan Post it to DHL so that's why we are seeing shipment info received and no updates as DHL only has the freight and customs details and not the parcel. I ordered from them many years ago when they were only an ebay seller and never had issues between like 2017 and 2020 on metal builds and DX. They get the benefit of the doubt from me right now but I am gonna stay on them because I've already PO'd the super parts from them and don't plan on getting burned. I am always too slow to make HLJ pre-order waves T_T

Did you ever get around to taking it all apart? Mine just straight up broke day one due to the loose screw. Not sure how to proceed with taking the pin out of the joint to loctite the screw back in and repair the peg. I can display it in fighter mode but I have the super parts for it too and I can't use those with it in this state
