    BANDAI DX YF-19!!

Wow. I guess I need this...
  2. I strongly disliked Iron Man 3 until after Marvel was clever enough to do All Hail the King. That fixed my biggest gripe about the whole "Mandarin" story.
  3. If they don't somewhere in this have "Sweep The Leg" by No More Kings, then it will be a travesty.
  4. I am highly annoyed that the TRU exclusive Marvel Legends Scarlet Witch and Vision 2-pack from Infinity War has never shown up at either of my nearest stores and likely won't now. The prices for that box set are already going nuts on eBay. I really badly wanted that set, too. If anybody should miraculously happen to find one and would be willing to hook me up, I would be extremely grateful. I'd also happily trade anything you want of reasonable value from Best Buy.
  5. I have their Sub-Zero and it is amazing. If they somehow miraculously do any incarnation of Robert Garcia from KOF, then I can't buy that quickly enough. I can also say the same for Charlie/Nash from Street Fighter. I agree with the Samurai Shodown sentiment - I would pick up almost all of those characters. They'd go wonderfully with my NEO*GEO MVS!
  6. Unreal. I still have my VF-11B. I had no idea that its value had escalated like this.

    Bandai DX VF-31

Wow, I wasn't honestly expecting these to sell out so quickly. Thankfully, CDJapan still had them up a few minutes ago. Paid a bit more than I would have liked, but at least it's locked in now.
  8. I saw an article a few days ago that this is coming out on PC. That certainly sparks my interest in this game. I haven't kept up with the news at all since I don't have a PS4, so y'all probably already knew this.
  9. Reminds me of the Otana from the X-Wing: Alliance game. I truly loved that ship. Perplexing to me is that didn't we briefly see the Falcon in ROTS? Didn't George claim that it was the "actual" Falcon and not just another YT-1300? It had its mandibles then...
  10. I can't believe that I got all hopeful for a new Dreamcast, and instead the teasers were for some sim game of which I have never heard before... I guess that's what I get.
  11. According to the Rebels show (which is now considered canon), Interdictor Cruisers are capable - within proximity - of both pulling ships out of hyperspace as well as preventing "realspace" ships from jumping to lightspeed. I don't think that there's any sort of "safety" associated with not being able to escape from this ability. It's just depicted as a gravity well. Interdictor as shown on Rebels
  12. I've wondered how long they had to prepare. They had probably been studying the Imperial forces for at least a few months - probably with heavy casualties. Those AT-ST traps didn't just crop up overnight, I would imagine. They were probably much more prepared than the Empire had ever given them credit for. I mean, Vietnam and Afghanistan have historically demonstrated that superior technology and training don't necessarily guarantee the outcome of a military engagement.
  13. I also found that TIE Defender video a few days ago, and I did not hesitate to Bricklink the parts for it. I can't believe how much better that one looks than the stock Lego version. I can hardly wait to start building once everything is here. Curiously, the most obscure part in the whole build is the cone-shaped piece which goes on the rear of the fuselage.
  14. You and me both. I truly don't care about sex or race in Star Wars. What I do care about is that the story makes sense within its own universe. The whole 6-hour chase thing is just unforgivable to me.
  15. Aaaargh. C'mon, Retrobit, give me a new Dreamcast! I'm gonna buy those wireless controllers even if that's all they have up their sleeves. I wonder how they will work with VMUs? And supposing that a new Dreamcast is forthcoming, I wonder if original VMU savegame files would be compatible with it? That would be AMAZING.
  16. It will be interesting to see what - if anything - JJ decides to do to try to undo or walk back parts of the writing. I do not envy his position. Nevertheless, people will go see it.
  17. I also have a big problem with this. I feel like it's safe to assume that Luke was still able to commune with Yoda after ROTJ, but we don't know that for certain now. If we are expected to believe that Luke wouldn't have consulted with him when he sensed something evil growing within Ben Solo... that just seems ridiculous to me. Especially with the amount of time which had passed. That thought never crossed his mind before he "closed himself off to the Force?" Even more so, would Luke have kept his ability to commune with Yoda, Obi-Wan, and even Anakin a secret from his new apprentices? I kinda feel like at some point Luke might have "introduced" his nephew to his grandfather. Yoda evidently taught Obi-Wan how to commune with Qui-Gon, so why wouldn't Luke also pass this knowledge along? And here's a real stretch for you - remember that brief little scene in ROTS where Yoda is meditating and he hears Qui-Gon saying "Anakin... Anakin, noooo!" That leads me to believe that Force ghosts are able to sense/observe things going on in the world of the living and could possibly interject or at least reach out to those who are attuned to them. Wouldn't Yoda or Obi-Wan or Anakin (now wouldn't that be interesting?) have said to Luke "um... hey, I think there's some bad stuff going on in this little one's head and we should try to work out some way to help him... without killing him in his sleep, y'know." I am so tired of overthinking this movie. I can't believe that I hate it as much as I do.
  18. Amen to that. I find it very interesting how Thrawn and the TIE Defender (and evidently Rukh! I need to catch upon Rebels) have been canonized after so many years. I would be completely happy to Eternal Sunshine the whole Last Jedi from my memory. I can't get over how much I can constantly find to nitpick about it. I do wonder how in the world JJ is going to attempt to piece together a story in the next movie, but I'm truly not sure that I care that much any more. (Certainly not as much as I did before having seen TLJ.)
  19. I think that my staggering (and continuously-growing) level of dislike for this movie has given me an all-new appreciation for Rogue One. I laugh whenever I see the Nissan tie-in-marketing commercials on TV. I'm like "TIE Fighters? You don't have to worry about those. The First Order would never think to use those against your slow-moving vehicle. They are far too dumb for that."
  20. I will completely lose my nut if there is indeed a retro Dreamcast forthcoming. If there is any miracle that it would have a network port and online capability, just think of some of the incredible potential for this system to live again. Soul Calibur, Power Stone 1+2, Project Justice, Marvel vs. Capcom 2, Street Fighter 3 Third Strike... oh, my. Perhaps my greatest hope come true would be Phantasy Star Online. I'd love nothing better than to jump through these kinds of hoops in order to be able to resurrect the files from my old VMUs... https://virtualdreamcast.com/how-to-transfer-save-games-from-your-dreamcast-console/
  21. Just saw this earlier, and am still processing. But, as a die-hard fan of the X-Wing and TIE Fighter games, I have to make one assertion which has driven me NUTS.
