Official Transformers Alternators and more thread.
Axelay replied to David Hingtgen's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
^ Ugh, so pretty. I'd just love it if Tracks actually turned out that way. It'd turn a sortof "eh" Alternator into a "must buy as soon as released" Alternator. C'mon Takara, work your magic again. Please? -

^ Totally agree. I just can't envision Tracks being yellow, or Sunstreaker being red. But... I'll still more than likely wind up buying them anyway. Maybe they'd grow on me, or I'd have them customized. Too early to tell yet. -

That backpack is just way too much kibble for my tastes... Why on earth couldn't they have made Sunstreaker that yellow Ford GT...? Ah well, I can still dream. -
No, that's the other omake concert they included later on, the one where they play Planet Dance. And even then, Humming Bird is still playing in the background. Oh, OK! I got my wires crossed. Thanks for clearing that up.

Jeez, you and me both. I'd have to buy at least three so I could have my own Diamond Force. Hey, I wished for years and years, though, that I could have a really good VF-1S Max, and now that's happening. So maybe if I keep wishing for a VF-17... Gotta keep the faith, I suppose.
-
Well, I've done my part to buy up the DYRL Max. I've even got Neova doing a custom 1/48 VF-1S for me as I type this. I am SO excited - I have wanted one for far too long. Basically, if it has anything to do with Max, I'm gonna buy it. (This means VF-22 someday, Yamato!)

My God, I'm one of those longshot true-believers who hopes that Moscato's Legioss will "return from the dead" one day. I'd love desperately to see it happen.

I was told years ago that that concert was NOT Hummingbird, but instead the singers were the voice actors for Basara and Mylene. (Voice actors, not song actors - which explains why they sound different.) Dunno what the manga is though...

Since we're on the subject of extremely rare Macross 7 songs, can anyone tell me if the acoustic guitar versions of New Frontier and Wild Life from Dynamite 7 were ever released in any format (whether they be CD's or fan rips)...?

If memory serves, that Spidey has something like 67 points of articulation. It's simply AMAZING. There's a chart on the back of the box which lists every single joint. This is truly the king of articulation.

Yes, marvelous show. I always thoroughly enjoy hearing that cannon fire.

Yeah, that yellow is just plain icky. It might be worth my money to hire a customizer and have it painted blue. -
My God, man, I would kill for a VF-1S Max.

What the hell...? That's absurd. I can only hope that they've had some kind of communications breakdown with Takara. -

Speaking of PT Cruisers, I'd personally love to see Skids as one. Wonder who the Neon will be...? -
Preorder for the Alpha MPC is now open
Axelay replied to 1st Border Red Devil's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I'll admit that I've always liked the Alpha and wished I had one. But for $80.00, though...? Nope. I'll just bide my time until I see the price drop significantly. -
Although slightly disappointed that this VF-0 will not be of the same caliber as the 1/48 VF-1's, I'm still highly interested. Cheaper price means a lot to me, although I'd still fork out the cash for an expensive "perfect" one. Hey, though, it's the very first VF-0, and that's enough to get me to buy one.

My Holy Macross Grail is my Bandai VF-17D which I got directly from Graham. Might not seem like much to y'all, but the Nightmare is one of my absolute favorites.

I just want the Tallgeese III, but I have yet to see any trace of it at any of the 4 Target stores in my area.

LOL. I, too, want a Mustang Alternator all too badly seeing as how I own three Mustangs. But who could it be...? I know the original cars weren't evem close to Mustangs, but I've always been partial to the names Nightbeat, Streetwise, and Wildrider. Well, anyway, back to the topic at hand. I personally LOVE seeing the shoulder-mounter missile launchers. Is it just me, or does it look like Tracks has enough firepower so that he doesn't have to take anything from anybody?! This is yet another must-have Alternator. (Actually, all of them have been for me thus far. LOL.) -
WOW. Thanks, Renato. That's one and a half down, and one half more to go. Now if only I can just find the translation for Mizu no Youna, Ai no Youna, I'll be all set.

Oh yeah, and someone asked earlier about Van Damme being sued by one of the actors in one of his movies. This is a 100% true story, as it actually happened right here in North Carolina. The incident took place on the set of Cyborg, which was being filmed in Wilmington, NC. I am pretty sure the court case took place in 1989, and I do remember seeing a lot of press coverage when the whole thing went to trial. The plaintiff claimed that during a fight scene, Van Damme intentionally kicked him squarely in the face - thus causing him to lose sight in one of his eyes. If memory serves, the whole thing was settled out of court for an undisclosed amount.

OK, since he was brought up, here's some fun trivia about Dolph Lundgren. I actually have a fair amount of respect for this guy, even though he seems to get no credit. I didn't care for The Punisher, though, since Frank Castle is one of my favorite literary characters EVER. (Odd...) Dolph might have been a good cast, but the writing for the movie just plain tanked. Also, I don't care WHAT people say, I still love the Masters of the Universe movie. Anyway, all of this info comes from the IMDB. Ugh. No lyrics for "Mizu no youna, Ai no youna?" ("Like Water, Like Love," from Dynamite 7.) Man, I freakin' love that song. And no translation for "Wild Life" either? Oh, this is killing me. I finally find some of these songs, and they don't have the main ones I wanted...
-
Good God, man, you're not kidding. Great resource for lyrics, though. But can someone please tell me what it is that the woman speaks at the beginning of Pulse...? Also, halfway through the song you hear a guy sing "oida," I think. That means "come to me," right...? Feel free to correct me.
