LOL. Best laugh I've had all week.

Word on Rebelscum is that the Y-Wing will be rereleased for the 30th Anniversary Collection, so you might want to hold off until then. I'd guess that it'll be hitting stores by February. I sincerely hope that it'll come with the ROTJ-style pilot. As soon as I know concrete info, I'll try to remember to post it here for ya.

Dude, Patlabor is pretty much what got me absolutely hooked on anime many years ago. "This story was fiction, but may not be in 10 years." Still sends chills down my spine when I think about it. It does have its cheesy moments, but some of the truly dramatic episode arcs (Griffon!) were superb.

Y'know, back when Halo first came out, I was really interested. What made me absolutely hate it, though, was having to play it with a damned control pad. For as many FPS games as I've played in my life, I found it unbearable to have to play with something other than a mouse and keyboard. Fast forward a few years and Lik Sang releases an adapter called the Smart Joy Frag. I had waited for this for YEARS, and I had long said that I'd have paid over $100 to have something like it. (Fortunately, it was only $20.) It wasn't 100% perfect, but it certainly did allow me to appreciate Halo the way I wanted to. I cannot count the hours I spent playing Halo 2 on Xbox Live. What ultimately concerns me about Halo 3 is not being able to have the same control. Now that Lik Sang has gone under (which makes me really hate Sony more than ever before), I have no idea what will happen to any future developments of the Smart Joy peripherals. For as badly as I want Halo 3 now, there's no way I'm going to touch it without a keyboard and mouse. Few things could make me sadder than to have a truly fantastic game with controls which I utterly despise.

Outstanding news! I sincerely hope that they can carry this off well! I'd personally love to see Megatron as the HK Mk23 SOCOM if he can't be the good ol' Walther P-38.

Wow. Those... suck. Well, that's good news for me since I can allocate my money towards other toys.

I'd gladly vote for one which says "This movie must be stopped... no matter the cost." Oh yeah, and then the REAL transformers appear in the middle of the movie and beat the ever loving hell out of these wannabes.

That Skywarp is ridiculously good looking. I hope an official one comes out eventually, because Skywarp is the only one of the seekers I want to have.

For as many times as I've watched Macross Plus, I am pretty sure I can identify the General Galaxy logo on Guld's flightsuit. Shinsei Industries, though, eludes me. Does anyone have decent pictures of either of these? I just got this on DVD for the first time, so I hope to be able to watch it with a bit more thoroughness than ever before. Also, I know I've once seen a logo for Project Supernova. I may have it archived deep in my Macross picture collection, but I'm not too sure. Anyone have any shots of this as well? I'd surely appreciate it. I ask this because I'm considering another run of UN Spacy static on-face decals like the ones I did a while back. I thought it might be fun to consider doing something a little more special, i.e. a New Edwards Test Flight Center base pass decal.

Fantastic new pictures! (Some of us rely solely on Macrossworld for Yamato news. ) This may be old news, but Big Bad Toy Store is already taking $199.99 preorders for this YF-19. This makes me very curious as to how much it will be at retail.

I am so totally impressed with this new 19. It blows the original one out of the water. I absolutely will have one of these, especially if it will eventually have FAST packs and a fold booster. That's just such a nice touch.

True story - I met Mel Gibson at a Carolina Panthers game a few years back. My mom had one of the children of the co-owners of the team in her first grade class. They thought very highly of my mom, and invited our whole family to come see a game and have seats in their suite. During the game, the assistant to one of the co-owners handed me a pair of binoculars and told me to look across the stadium at a particular suite and I'd see Mel Gibson. Sure, enough, there he was. The assistant then asked me if I wanted to go meet him, and I was like "hell yes." (I'm a huge fan of Lethal Weapon.) We marched over to the other side of the stadium, and went right in the suite - which was flanked with security. (And this was long before the Passion.) He had his whole family with him and is apparently a huge fan of football. I very briefly introduced myself, shook his hand, and told him that I was a big fan. Another significant one is that I went to high school with Kona Carmack, Playboy's Miss February 1996.

I was lucky enough to have seen the anime many years ago when I was in college. I still to this day think it's one of the most violent things I've ever seen, and I loved every minute of it. Kujo Jotaru is hands down one of the coolest (bishonen, if you want to call it that?) characters I've ever seen. I'd love to find a copy of the anime again...

My girlfriend actually pointed this out to me! I totally loved this movie, and will probably see it again. I was going crazy trying to spot a Mustang in it, and I think I saw one as one of the race TV producers. Well, at least I saw what looked like Cragar 5-spoke wheels, so I'll look more closely next time.

The extras on this DVD are fantastic. There are whole sections regarding the creation and evolution of the Predator (including the absurd looking original), the weapons used in the movie, and the development of the characters. Some of the stories about Arnold and Jessie Ventura comparing bicep sizes are hilarious. I've already bought this DVD twice now - my first copy was stolen.

I'd flat out LOVE to see a Punch-Out game which used the motion-sensing capabilities of the Wiimote. Come to think of it, I am also praying that some very smart person at Sega has thought "Hey... how about a new Samba de Amigo?"

Have you seen the update on AICN now? Apparently Fox told them to cease and desist, and so they pulled the script review down. I could not agree any more about Fox being "terribly out of touch with fandom." Sadly, I feel pretty certain that they will just go right ahead and continue production without changing a thing. Nothing could make me any sadder than to know that such an effort will go into something which the true fans have already decreed as outright bad. But hey, I guess Fox would believe that there are still plenty of other idiots out there who don't know any better.

Where might one go about ordering the new Hori stick set? Also, to anyone who has played the game already: is Bartlett in Zero or not?

OK, so I guess it's safe to assume that there won't be a flightstick coming with this one. I cannot express how disappointing this is, as the AC5 stick and throttle go for about $120 on eBay right now. Ugh. As an alternative, has anyone ever used one of these? I do love Logitech, so I feel like this would be a good substitute for the right price. Along the same lines, has anyone ever heard of an adaptor which would allow one to connect a PC's USB joystick to a PS2? I am so used to using my lovely Saitek stick now that I feel pretty sure I'd have a hard time adjusting to anything else.
