  1. Whatever the case is, I am becoming completely infuriated with the distribution of Joes here in Raleigh, NC. It seems as if all of the stores in my area (and there are a surprising number of them) get one case, and that's it. Once it's gone, you have to wait for God knows how long before you see any more. I saw Flash a grand total of ONCE. I can also say the same about the HISS Driver. I still have yet to see Major Bludd, Tiger Flint, or Python Officer at all, and I've been hunting pretty consistently for them. The price of gas is seriously starting to hamper my hunts, though, especially since I'm driving a muscle car. I just don't know if I can attribute the lack of figures in my area to scalpers or super retarded distribution. I kinda lean towards the latter, as some Star Wars things are also quite difficult to find around here. The problem with ordering more of a wave can backfire, though, when the people placing the orders don't know what's going to be in demand and when. For instance, there's a Wal-Mart near me which has wave 6 revisions clogging up the pegs. More Torpedos, Rock 'n Rolls, Armored Cobra Commanders, Iron Grenadier Destros, and Crimson Guards than you can shake a stick at. If anybody out there needs some and would trade for any of the ones I listed above, I'd be more than willing.
  2. Actually, I did think about it but took it off of the list. Either version doesn't currently seem to be significantly worth more than the other.
  3. Here in NC, Storm Shadow and Snake Eyes peg warmed for weeks on end back when they first came out. Now competition for virtually anything has become so fierce that it's just taking the fun out of it. Some of the variants which I know about: Snake Eyes with the black wolf is substantially harder to find than the gray wolf. The black wolf version is averaging $100 on eBay nowadays. Some of the single carded Gung-Ho figures from wave 4 are straight repacks from the 5-pack set. As such, they have an anchor (Navy) on the hat. Since Gung-Ho is a Marine, fans did not like this at all. Hasbro corrected this by simply removing the anchor from the mold. These are also making it over the $100 mark now. The Holy Grail of variants thus far has to be yellow Stalker. This was apparently an early-run factory paint error in which his uniform's green camouflage was substituted with a bright yellow. This was quickly corrected, and thus "banana Stalker" is considered an error and not a variant. These are routinely breaking a whopping $300 on eBay, and there's little sign of the price increase slowing down. Even loose ones are going for over $75.
  4. I don't suppose you saw Flash? If so, please let me know. I only once saw that one on the pegs and I'd like very much to get it.
  5. I may just take you up on that. I'm supposed to be trading for some this weekend, but I don't think I'm getting everything I need. I like to have 2 of each so that I can open one and keep the other carded.
  6. Are you kidding? These are PERFECT! Exactly what I was hoping for. Thank you tremendously for these!
  7. Out of curiosity, does anyone know if there are any plans to rerelease the YF-19 when the YF-21 is released? I missed the boat the first time around, and it'd be killer to get them both at the same time.
  8. I have a humble - and hopefully simple - request. Could someone please get wallpaper-sized screenshots of the "commercial break" illustrations of Alto and Ozma? The one of Alto is in episode 4, at 11:29 (in the Shinsen version). The one of Ozma is in episode 5, at 11:56. Thank you!
  9. If they pull a Gall Force on us, I'm going to be severely disappointed.
  10. The AT-TE (All Terrain Tactical Enforcer) is a 6-legged walker which first appeared in Attack of the Clones. http://www.starwars.com/databank/vehicle/atte/
  11. OK, aside from Gung-Ho, I don't know why that never crossed my mind before. Other GI Joes in their dress uniforms would be absolutely awesome.
  12. Yes, the Droids A-Wing did have a battery compartment. It had a press button to make "laser" sounds. Mine actually still works, against all odds. Since the Droids A-Wing is the only one I've ever owned, I'm looking very forward to getting the new one with Arvel. I think it looks really nice.
  13. My Dagobah X-Wing indeed suffers from droopy wings. My solution - which isn't a very good one - is to simply pull the wings and flip them over every month or so. I've considered putting very thin metal braces into each wingroot, but it's not high on my priority list.
  14. Thank God for Shinsen. I am so sick of messing with screwy codecs and players for these other versions.

    Thunder Hammer

Very, very impressive work. My compliments to everyone involved in this project. This is truly the power of imagination.
  16. Thank you! The song is definitely growing on me.
  17. $600? Absolutely not a chance. $150 is the very maximum I'm willing to spend. Here's hoping the numbers are clarified shortly.
  18. WOW. Just... wow. I am so glad I held out to see what Beagle was going to produce. There's no question - that's the one I am going to get. Thanks for the picture! Can't wait to see more.
  19. Cloth to cover the joints? Oh, now that just impresses me. I sincerely hope that the final product will be as good as I am hoping. I'll get one even if it breaks the $150 mark.
  20. Wow, that Beagle is looking amazing! I certainly hope that it turns out well. If so, it's the must-have of the 3 for me.
  21. Wow. The GI Joe lineup at Toyfair is infinitely more impressive to me than the Star Wars lineup. I've seen maybe 3-4 things in the SW booth which I'd buy, whereas I want it ALL in the GI Joe booth.
  22. Huh. Both the CM's and the Megahouse have interesting elements to each. I do wish that the MH was a bit taller in bike mode. It kinda reminds me of what I must have looked like when I was attempting to ride tricycles on the playground back when I taught preschool. My kids always thought it was hilarious. Where DO the handlebars on the MH go? I didn't see them reattached in the video. Anyway, are there any model or prototype pictures of the Beagle? I feel like I don't want to make a final decision until after I've seen it. (And yes, I did see the renders back on page 20.)
  23. Oh, I have watched the first episode so many times now and it just makes me more excited for what's to come. I have a few new questions/observations. 1. Is it Ozma, or Asuma (Azuma)? I just wasn't sure if the translation I saw was accurate. 2. When Ozma gives chase to the "redbug," why does it even bother hiding in the asteroids? It seems annoyingly impervious to all fire thrown at it so far. 3. Speaking of the "redbug," I wonder what happened to the other one? I don't recall seeing it get shot down, but I think all of the "hammerheads" were. 4. Does anyone know when the soundtrack for Frontier will be released? There's an anime convention here in NC in late May, and although it's expensive, I'd go if I thought there was a chance I could buy the soundtrack (or other merchandise) there. I figure it should be out by that time, but finding anything Macross related here in NC is a supreme rarity. 5. Anyone got a good scan (or other art) of Ozma's skull logo?
  24. Got a question. Has it been explained what SMS stands for? (If so, please forgive.) I couldn't help but wonder if it was something like Shinsei Military Systems. It'd help to explain why SMS has the newest fighters.
  25. Say, could someone please inform me as to the name of the music composer for Frontier? I am thoroughly enjoying the music so far and can't wait for it to come out on CD.
