Quick question? What is AE? I usually get my model kit stuff from HLJ without any trouble, but I have not had much luck with Bandai Items (idk if they are even open for preorder one minute its not even there and the next it says order stop) Anyone had any luck pre-ordering from Hobby Search? (1999.co.jp) How about Toydojo? They are from Texas, Ive seen they sold the previous releases at a markup, they pre order some Bandai Items but I've never dealt with them before. I really want to get this one, I'm hoping to be able to preorder it at a regular price from!

I was not planning on getting any more but now that I saw the Roy Fokker one that's coming out I want to get it, hopefully as a pre order for a decent price, I do have a feeling the markup on that figure is going to be through the roof! -
Me too It will be hard to get a pre order in, but I'm go try anyway, i do feel like it will be the most expensive figure in the resale market.

This is correct, I have an order with NY at the moment that I have not heard about for 6 weeks, I reached out to them and I was told they are holding it until Japan Posts opens again, which makes me think that once it opens it will be chaotic and maybe packages will get lost, so I am contacting them again to see if I can upgrade my shipping to DHL or UPS

Hey guys! Just wanted to tell you about my experience buying from Mandarake. I have been having a hard time tracking one of these VF-1A's, I usually get my japanese goods from HLJ but these figures sell out quick, I tried NY but the price plus shipping steered me away, I didn't want to pay Ebay prices, so gave Mandarake a try. Ended up buying my first 1/48 DX, VF-1A Max Jenius edition. I was skeptical about buying it since they didn't show any pictures and described it as unopened with a damaged box. I paid about 250 dollars including shipping, which because of Covid the only option given was through DHL, which was expensive, but not at bad as I thought (the figure was 22000 yen) but it arrived in 4 days, which included a weekend day, upon inspection the box was not badly damaged, there is a knick on a corner, I have definitely gotten boxes that I buy as new with more knicks than that one, it was well packaged and definitely looks brand new. So I would recommend Mandarake if you are looking for a figure, definitely will buy from them again!
