    Hey! I actually have the TPB of this from long ago. I also have the first issue of the Micron Conspiracy, but the comic shop near me didn't carry any further issues and I never finished buying later issues when I was older. That comic shop was the first place I could buy anime, RIP local La Crescenta comic book store from 1994.

    Looks like Kotobukiya is doing a mirror finish version of the Aaliyah? In case you had been on the fence, but wanted a version that showed more fingerprints. FWIW, I picked up the original and I really liked it. It's big, extremely detailed, lots of fiddly bits. Build quality was very nice. I think my only gripe was that, if you're going to do LEDs, give us an LED in the overbooster, too. The one in the head is neat, but a little underwhelming.

    I also really love the weirdness of Lynch's Dune. I know Lynch himself disavowed the movie, but my wife and I found it super entertaining. I was a bit braced for this particular celebrity passing - Lynch made a video a few months back describing his emphysema and explaining he couldn't go outside - but it still hits pretty hard. Pretty much every movie, TV show, and music video that he's done, I've really enjoyed.

    Same. I still have my Renewal Tornado pack, but I think I put them on all of once. The sag was bad. I'd need to see reviews for the Revival to see what reinforcements were made and if they were enough.

    Like the color scheme and the design but man, if transforming the SV-262 isn't just the absolute worst. Pretty sure it's my least favorite VF to transform. I'll have to think on this one.

    XARDION MENTIONED??? Wild, didn't know GAINAX was involved in the production and even did some animation for the commercials.

    I think if you write it down on paper, "Matrix-style Star Wars action series with Carrie-Anne Moss" sounds amazing, but this preview leaves me completely underwhelmed. I am very much off the Star Wars ride, though.

    Don't know if anyone has had this but the connector pin on the display arm for one of my Legioss completely sheared off: I don't think there's any way to get a replacement for it from Sentinel, but it looks like the Archi stands from GokinPlus have a Sentinel adapter that should work? I've been meaning to try out some Archi stands anyways, so I guess this is the thing that pushes me over the edge on ordering some.

    Just to confirm, no, there is no cover for this. I also have the loose head cap and one of my ankles doesn't want to stay extended either. Jenius' transformation guide mentions the bottom panel thing so that may have been an issue on previous releases. I remember battroid locking together pretty securely on my VF-19Advance, but the head/shoulders pop off from the nose cone super easily on my YF-19. They're easy to pop back in, but it's pretty annoying. Things generally seem to either be "too tight" or "too loose." The joints that are tight are crazy difficult to move out of place; the wing roots and the nose cone particularly gave me a lot of trouble. It was generally was a lot less fun to transform than the VF-19.

    I can never not see Optimus Prime playing basketball when I see the Nu Gundam with the Sazabi's cockpit: I felt like I overpaid for the Metal Build Kampfer at P-Bandai (I did), but now that the money is in the rear-view mirror I'm just excited to get my hands on it next month.

    Ha, I also got the e-mail and came here to see if anyone had any specific info on it. AmiAmi does update their photos and re-lists a figure whenever something gets a design update, so I don't think it's super unusual. I tried doing some surface digging, but the Tamashii Nations sites/blogs/Twitter X accounts didn't have anything on it that I could find, so I guess we'll find out tomorrow.

    Usually there's a spike at the end for kickstarters, and given the rate people have been backing the project, I'm not super worried. Macross II will look incredible on the OLED in 4k.

    The movie is currently doing the theatre circuit, and Anime Ltd. is supposed to be doing a four-volume vinyl release of the soundtrack this year. No official word on a streaming or blu-ray release for the OVA or the movie, but I imagine it is coming pretty soon. Like Seto said, if you don't want to wait, your best bet are the old DVDs. They are surprisingly not super expensive; I remember having to pay kind of ridiculous prices for the Megazone 23 DVDs before they did the blu-ray re-release.

    VF-1J Milia DYRL, VT-1, and VF-1S Roy DYRL have been the ones I've been hoping for, with slowly diminishing expectations of them ever happening. I've mentioned it before, but I am forever flummoxed that they haven't milked this mold and done an annual Tamashii web exclusive release of the missile pack. I guess the focus lately is on worldwide releases for Frontier and Plus.

    Yeah, it reminds me of the hyper-detailed VF-1 statues you see for sale for 600 bucks on BBTS. They're detailed and well-painted, but the aesthetic is a complete mismatch IMO. I am kind of interested in the soldier mode cockpit, but I have a weird hang-up about cockpit orientations in transforming fighters and I like seeing manufacturers do the mechanics of making them functional. Dunno if that's enough to get me over my distaste for the RT brand/HG.

    I also didn't realize he was 70. Just seemed eternally youthful to me. In addition to the ones people have mentioned, he did a great heel turn as Pavel on Tron: Uprising.

    Man, this latest round of announcements was such word salad, I genuinely thought they were trying their hand at animated projects as well (god knows the live-action stuff hasn't been going anywhere since Tobey Maguire still had star power and was potentially attached to the project). Maybe I just read too much into them resurrecting the Robotech II brand for the latest round of toys.
