  1. Thanks for the explanation, Seto! A little part of me has been wondering this for quite a while. πŸ™‚
  2. Random question. Sorry if it's been discussed/explained before. How does the designation 'VF-5000' fit in with the 2 digit VF designations? Why does it go from VF-1 and VF-4 and then VF-5000 and then back down to VF-11? Is it because the VF-5000 wasn't an officially requested and designed fighter for the government?
  3. Thanks for this translation and information! (as well as all the others in this thread) Is there an image anywhere of the YF-14?
  4. That looks like an awesome piece! Can we see the whole thing?!
  5. It does look like there is color bleeding into the edges on a few spots. The reflected area looks like a brush stroke to me because of the uneven parallel lines in one direction. It could be that it was varnished to protect the medium form smudging. Awesome if it's the real deal.
  6. Agreed. This is a long time coming, especially after multiple releases of the Elintseeker (PF and normal). But, the VF-5000 is what I'm looking forward to most of all. I really hope that project doesn't become vaporware. In the end and above all, I want Arcadia to survive as a company in a challenging economy.
  7. Maybe it's an alternate universe where Hikaru avoided being shot as well as crashing into the building.
  8. Super stoked for the VF-0A reissue. Missed the first round and got an old Yamato to tide me over. This will be a tremendous upgrade. Ordered 2.
  9. LOL. Indeed. Thankfully, this toy has an infamous defense mechanism in that when it is touched in the slightest, it's landing gears collapse, creating more surface area friction and it is therefore more difficult to push off the shelf.
  10. hahahahaha!πŸ˜†
  11. A browner green would be awesome, for sure. Although, I do like the revival color even though it's not cannon.
  12. I'm kind of beginning to agree with this perspective now that I've seen the matte finish (albeit low quality pics). The 27's are like race cars and the gloss is appropriate compared to the tamer 25's. The matte on the red 27 looks a little odd. Maybe better photos will change my mind again. That said, the Grace is one of my favorite valks and I hope they re-release it. The green might even look good in matte compared with the red.
  13. This release looks to have more of a matte finish.
  14. My cat Leland posing with my Yamato VF-22 Max. He only likes to hang out on this shelf when one of my (his) toys is on it. It’s clearly his.
  15. I'm excited for this. Love the 27s. Matte finish will be nice.
  16. Ditto. But, at this point, I'm mostly just hoping Arcadia survives.
  17. It took a while for me to deal with LP. I ordered 2 units. I got one. I contacted them a few times and they finally sent me my 2nd unit which I have received. So, it worked out in the end but I'm a little hesitant to use them in the future.
  18. Magnificent work! 🀩
  19. I can't wait to be able to buy this thing!
  20. True. I suppose if I really want these things I can always start modeling... I really hope this isn't the end of Arcadia. I really like their company and product. Really. (one more for good measure. LOL)
  21. Yeah, if they're going to continue to milk the mold, it would be nice for them to at least release different color schemes: camouflage, weathered PF, and/or maybe even a nod to the Jolly Roger F-14 that it's inspired by with pale gray low visibility and squadron markings (a weathered PF version would be awesome). One can dream....
  22. There's another thread like this?! Where is it?
  23. I'm a fighter-mode guy. The shorter nose would be fine if it weren't for the big belly and would be a little reminiscent of a real-life SU-57, which I love. But if an SU-57 had a big belly, it would throw off the whole look. The combination of short nose and big belly makes my head go straight to penguin-mode. Like, every time I look at the thing, I cannot unsee the belly flopping penguin. Now, if I were a battroid-mode guy, I would appreciate the new pose-ability but the small arms would bother me the same way a lot of people are annoyed by the skinny legs of the Yamato version. And then there's the whole new addition of a giant hunchback...
