  1. Update on my situation: my VT-1 came from Luna Park with a broken tailfin. My last contact with LP was last saturday when  they replied to my last email saying Bandai was willing to replace my toy but it had to be returned to Japan. I said I didn't want to pay for the return shipping (and anyway I have already panel lined the toy and painted the landing gear and wing lights).

Instead I have asked them if Bandai would provide a new backpack assembly and they said they would ask Bandai for this option, but no answer so far. I'm going to email them again this week end.

Now I see in @tekering posts that the toy works fine without  the tailfins held by the brackets even with the boosters on. So I'm probably going to glue that tailfin back in place.

I'm even more worried now. Are you just feeling pragmatic, or relying on some past experience in a situation like this with Bandai?

As Chronocidal says, I just don't think Bandai is going to send our various resellers a brand new backpack to replace the broken ones (although they should). And I'm tired of having a brand new toy sitting here without me enjoying it.

So I reiterate: if someone has disassembled a backpack and know of a good method, I'm all ears.

  3. Because I believe we won’t be able to rely on Bandai to replace the broken tailfins, I’m trying to fix it my self.

So has anyone already opened up a DX backpack? There are probably several pegs holding the 2 halves together and I need to know where they are located to try and pry them open. Unfortunately I can’t just glue the tailfin back because it needs to keep its limited mobility for transformation…IMG_6283.jpeg.90b15b46c827152c75800f746fc7d963.jpeg

  4. Got an answer from Luna Park regarding broken tailfins:

    "yes, we reported to Bandai.

they are aware of the defective issue.

we will let customer know once Bandai announced the solution, thanks"

What solution do you think Bandai will come up with?
  5. So I got an answer from Luna Park after receiving my VT-1 with a broken tailfin. They asked me if damage was caused by the shipping carrier or if it was a manufacturer defective item, to which I answered that it was most certainly the latter since my package was in perfect condition.

So they are telling me that they’re checking with Bandai to see if item can be exchanged. To be continued, but there is no way I’m going to pay another 9000 yens for shipping, because in the meantime, I took the toy out of the box and transformed it and…

I have Hikaru’s VF-1J (first release), Max’s VF-1A, Roy’s VF-1S and the VF-1D, and they’re all great toys, sturdy, no floppiness, even the leg bar on my VF-1J has decent friction, but this VT-1 is a joke.

The plastic part that is supposed to tab in the back of the nose in batroid mode simply doesn’t hold. It’s not that it’s loose or anything, it just doesn’t stay in place. And as a consequence, the batroid is a floppy mess.

I can’t even display the toy in fighter because of the broken tailfin…very disapointed here.

  6. Hello,

I would like to buy a pair of black jolly rogers from the movie super parts  set to replace the kites on my TV super parts. I 'm sure one of you who bought multiple sets would be willing to let go of one pair.

    Thanks in advance!

Did someone mention needing ejection seat triangle and cockpit skull decals? :D I'm open to doing another run of my DX valk supplemental set.

They've been coming through for many of us. My order from them arrived today. At least one of the members in your position contacted Nin-Nin and asked for a status update. They were told that there was a shipment delay for some of the stock and orders would be going out next week (I think).

    Hello,

I would also gladly get one sheet from you please.

Try moving it back and forth gently as much as it can move without putting too much force. It will loosen up and the range you can move it will increase little by little.

Thanks, but that's what I've been doing for a full half hour but there is no significant progress; I still have less than 90° of movement on both arms...

  9. I received mine yesterday and it's a beautiful toy. But I have one issue though, as others have had:  the shoulder rotation (to lift the arm) is completely stuck on both arms. Does anyone have a good method to free that joint? I'm really afraid to break it so I'm looking for the correct method to do it. And since I'm not exactly sure which parts have to rotate, if you have pictures to illustrate, it would be awesome!

It went to my spam folder so I had missed it. Probably will ship it slow style since I have such a huge backlog of review items on my desk already.

I also chose slow shipping for several reasons. First, let's be honest, I'm cheap. Then I'm never in a rush to get my toys. And most important, from my experience, in France if you use any kind of express shipping, you'll end up paying custom fees. Whereas using slow shipping options, I avoided those custom fees 95% of the time.

AFAIK there aren't any SV-51 waterslides in this scale. There are for the 1/72 kits.

As far as the 2nd option, you'd have to find someone that has access to a printer that can print white ink.

Thank you for your answer. I was hoping maybe someone on these boards would be able to print waterslide decals.

  12. Hello,

Does anyone know if waterslide decals for the SV-51 can be found somewhere. I am trying to add details to the toy but I don't want to use the sticker sheet provided.

The other possibily would be to print waterslide decals using a scan of the sticker sheet, so if somebody here can do it or knows someone who can, I'm all ears, thanks!

    Hi,

    Anyone use this site before?

    https://japanexclusive.ocnk.net/product/6280

Don't shop there. Pre-ordered a DX VF-1A there and never received it. A few days after release I asked the seller when he would ship and he said to be patient. My Patience lasted for 2 weeks before I opened a Paypal case after the seller stopped communicating. I got my money back and finally found the VF-1A almost at retail price elsewhere.

Surprised to see this "webstore" still exists...

So painting over is the solution versus correcting the color?

Arcadia it’s time to stop. Make it right or don’t make it at all.  For many years we have seen this color debacle. Instead of making it right you make it more of a burden on your loyal customers. Do I like it sure. Do I know what will happen if I transform a painted figure? Of coarse I do. Do I want a toy that is transformable? Oh hell yes!  Will I buy it? NOPE!

So why is Arcadia offing a Supefragelisticscratchialidoscious version of a figure that could have been corrected by just producing the proper colored plastic? Oh yeah, laziness and greed.

I am just getting soooo over Arcadia. If it wasn’t for the VF-4(A?) FB2012 I would have called it quits.  Arcadia needs to move forward and stop basking in the glow of Yamato’s past success.

Arcadia time to stop suckling on the tests of your successor and grow up.

Sorry for the rant, but Arcadia is really not living up to being the.company it was supposedly going to be.

Also, legs and arms and fins etc...are blue and white, so whichever plastic color they choose, these parts will have to be painted, or am I missing something?

I just mask the landing gear bays and spray them. No way around it. Bandai makes it impossible to disassemble them otherwise it would be really easy to just deal with the metal landing gear by itself.

Thanks for your answer. I guess I was expecting a magical solution...So out comes the masking tape!

WOW...I decided to check my eBay preorder from seller japan-exclusive and I see that hes no longer a registered user. Received several negative feedback last few months coming from 100% when I placed the order. Guess I'm SOL w/ this line, now I'm stuck with a missile and SSP set. Heads up to others who may have purchased from that seller...

So is my only course of action now to dispute thru PayPal or my credit card? Will I get my refund if I placed the order in July?

    I ordered the VF-1A through a website: japanexclusive.onck.net, I suppose it's the same seller

I emailed him a first time on 9/19, having no news from him and item being released. He answered on 9/23, telling me to wait 48 hours after confirmation. I emailed him back asking him what confirmation he was talking about. No news. I waited 5 days to email him back telling him I was beginning to worry. He answered saying that the item would be shipped on 10/15.

So, I must say I'm not very confident on this one. I am used to chinese sellers going rogue on ebay (I mostly buy 3rd party Transformers), but this is new to me.

The thing is I paid with Paypal, and since we have 180 days to file a claim (I purchased the toy in june), I should be refunded. But I'm afraid that if he doesn't ship my toy, and I want to buy another one elsewhere, prices will come up significantly. People will tell me to secure another one while prices are still reasonable, but I can't afford it...
