  1. I saw a funny one a while back. The sign was trying to say "Take the simple route" but actually said "Take the SIN PUL route". They get ROUTE right but not SIMPLE. And i'm not sinfully pulling anything they offer me. Never did find out what it was a sign for. Perhaps I have the answer already
  2. I saw samples of the Regults today. Handled one. Must say it was very nice. It's a LOT bigger than I thought it would be. Posed it in a few ways and I was surprised how much fun they are. Definitely getting one when it's released.
  3. I saw that they released the new Ex-Scratch 1/48's with "25th" slapped on the box to celebrate the anniversary. Anyone seen these? You can basically scratch the paint off to reveal the silver metal underneath. Now that's really scraping the barrel of the Votoms. Seriously though. nice to see the 25th of another great show.
  4. In Kyoto? Huh. Like I said, i only heard about it while in Thailand and I was told they were only located in that country. The restaurants are used to provide support and funds for the PDA and various programs to help local people. It was originally a family planning organisation and helped to spread awareness of things like Aids and the dangers of prostitution to the locals who had zero information available to them.
  5. Huh. IF that's still the plot of that episode it should be pretty interesting. Hopefully it will do something interesting with that particular set-up because that could easily be filled to the brim with very cliched situations.
  6. Actually, this one is from Thailand. It's an intentional joke as far as I know. There's so many young girls having unprotected sex that they decided to adress the issue.......with a restaurant?????
  7. I remember seeing a newspaper headline with words to the effect of "Basra Seeks Peace" and for a split second I saw an extra "a" in there.
  8. Ok, it was a book first but "Running man" will probably be put on a list like this within the next 15 years. We're already seeing celebrities "dying" on screen (celebrity Big Brother, anyone?) and it won't be long before Joe Public gets immolated on live tv for our enjoyment
  9. If the Beagle is going to be sold at a ridiculous price, i`d rather make my own 1/12 Ride armor. I`m currently building one using the Aoshima kit and a generic man doll (Had some weird looks when buying this, I can tell you). If there`s any QC issues to be had then it`ll be on MY terms This is in it`s earliest days so it will look a lot better. I even improved the design since the legs don`t BREAK anymore. I now have the upper half of the leg armor extending rather that the lower half.
  10. Exact same thing I reported and it seems to have happened within the same time that mine broke. Word to everyone......This could be a common problem so take care. Though, agreed. Overall the MH is a nice toy. Just better for display.
  11. Didn't mention that the Tread also has an opening cockpit with a fully painted pilot in case noone knew. The Tread looks awesome with those missiles on the wings in that combined pic. Might have to find some extra missiles to attach.
  12. Even when you go to Akihabara it's not easy to find these. I saw precisely ONE MH Ray in Yoda-bashed-my-camera (Yodabashi Camera) in Akiba and that's the only place i've seen them in Tokyo. The CM's is a little easier to find but the place that I saw which had about five had zero only an hour later.
  13. Sorry. Had a really busy couple of days so I haven't had time to do a full review yet. To answer a few questions: 1. The Legioss CANNOT turn its head. 2. The head does hang quite low it Fighter mode. Tho that one does seem much lower than mine. 3. The landing gear of the Tread is attached to the big die-cast frame. It's not going to be too easy to dismantle it though.
  14. Sorry. Missed your post. The landing gear can retract, yes. Ratchets are only on the hips of the two bots. Connection is really not that great so it's more of a display piece. Put It can just about be whooshed around. Questionable elements? maybe the nose-cone again. It's an appalling piece of construction. THe MPC pulled it off infinitely better. This just sits there and moves with the slightest movement (if you touch the front section, that is). Did my head explode? Besides the flaws. Yep
  15. I know. But the Toynami/Aoshima just feels heavy and chunky and less delicate than this Legioss. I'm not saying that the CM Legioss is made of egg-shells, just that the amount of die-cast and lack of (proper) locking mechanisms makes it suffer.
  16. I tried but only this morning before work so I couldn't get it quite right. None of the clips seemed to fit the Aoshima though. But looking forward to your pics.
  17. It feels a little bit solid and a little bit hollow. The Tread especially is a tiny bit hollow-feeling but at the same time, quite solid. The joints are very tight and everything holds poses well. Legs on the Tread are a little loose in the hips but that's it. It holds together ok, just ok. Since the Tread landing gear/connector is made of diecast metal and is fairly tight at the attachment points. (actually, aside from the landing gear and a couple of small joints, ther is virtually no diecast in this set. Connection to the Tread is a little loose and doesn't balance on the stand that well. You have it at an angle of 45degrees to balance and not fall over. The transformations are easy and very similar to the Toynami/Aoshima. The Tread is a solid piece. The Legioss is a little loose and the front section does't connect all that securely. The hands are very nice and solid pieces. Very MG hands. They fold up in to the arms on both toys. Things don't all lock down securely as I mentioned above. The Legioss is a very loose and actually, kind of flimsy toy in fighter mode. The front section rests more than locks into place. It easily moves or becomes diconnected. The Tread, however, very solid once transformed. Ratchet joints in the hip of both. No gap. The connection is ok but it rests more than locks into the combination. Hands fold via "trap-doors" Somne parts on the Legioss line up but don't secure as I mentioned above. The Toynami is a far more solid toy. And again, almost zero diecast My review is coming later today but i'm very happy with this toy. However, I can see many people hating this thing. The Legioss is veeeery floppy in the hands and the front section not locking (maybe I have a lemon) is a HUGE turn off for me. The tread is a great toy however. Solid, dynamic for such a lumbering beast and full of little features. BTW, little additions, the five Stick mini-figures, the sword, the plastic plugs to disguise ALL the screw holes are great little additions. Is it worth it? For me, yes. But it's not perfect and the Legioss is more flimsy than the Toynami which FEELS more expensive than this. I just wish there was more diecast than the landing gear and a couple of tiny joints alone. Pictures coming soon with a full review.
  18. As I said, I can't put up any pics until later tonight but it's actually a little taller than the Aoshima/Toynami but a LOT skinnier. I MUCH prefer the proportions on this version of the Legioss.
  19. How the hell did you happen to find that pic of the "Beagle" in "ride armor".? That's pretty funny. You dressed him up yourself. Admit it. Poor animal.
  20. Ok.....I bought it last night. Spent hours fiddling around with it. I won't have time to put up a full review and pics until later tonight as i'm at work but I can answer any questions in the meantime. Bring it on, mofos
  21. Careful though coz you'll have to slice through the tyres. But if you don't much care for them it really isn't an issue.
  22. Thanks I had to cut off the wheels on the MH because I couldn't just pop them off. So, they're trashed now. I just bought some rubber tyres from a model store and popped them on.
  23. I would have been getting it on the morning it's released but I decided to wait for the Toynami.
  24. My first experience of Mospeada was "Love, Live, Alive!!!". Boring as hell. I love the "This is for the fans" that they flash on screen. What's for the fans? The big 'ol slap in the face?
