I saw a total of six for sale yesterday in various stores. 6! I'll have a short review up in a few hours. Preview: 90% Good. 10% Bad. -

Y'know those yellow, rubber bowling pin shaped characters whose eyes pop out when you squeeze them. They should produce a Guld one. "relieve your stress by imposing G-force on Guld" Back to the topic. A Ghost would be an awesome accessory. Hopefully, it would have lights. And i'm also very happy about the hands on the 21. They look great. Finally free of the Finger-licken-chicken hands of past releases. -

A review will definitely be up. I'm a little disappointed about the box design Was hoping for something different. And i am more than a little peeved that they didn't include a second Guld with popped eyes and crushed organs. Come on, Yamato! Though I AM loving the fact that the landing gear are now in the correct place, as opposed to where they were placed on the 1/72. And I really wouldn't mind seeing a Ghost/Fold-Booster set being released. Of course, the Ghost would need its own display stand. -

And it's like THREE friends in one. Funny thing is that every shop I went to had two on the shelves and that was it. Plenty of space to put boxes and boxes of em but only two, only two etc. Other Yamato stuff has choked the shelves. Side-note. Played with the GNUs today. Only samples tho. The 19 is excellent. -
I was able to play around with some samples of these today. The 19 is by far the best. Followed by the 21. The least interesting is the 11. It just poses so awkwardly. Huge gun-pod. The parts were pretty easy to remove so i'm looking forward to Franken-valks. The 21 was a little difficult to pose standing up. the 19 is by far the most flexible. I like that they have a matte finish.

Just picked up my 21. Was reading through the instruction booklet while I had lunch. Unfortunately I won't be able to open it for at least another 10 hours since i'm at work and have to go out afterwards for drinks with friends. Damn! Friends. Always thwarting me. -

I'm getting itchy now. The suns down and it's only 14 hours till the shops open. GAH! Why can't time go faster?! Oh, man....got the shakes......bugs crawling over my skin. God....i'm thirsty. Play with the 1/72 for a while. Take the edge off. No. No good. Cold shower. Not working. Bugs again. I"M FREAKING OUT, MAN!!!!! -
Well, "Chunkey monkey" is years old. In the UK it's used as a derogative for people who are overweight. I think Graham was the first person to coin that phrase for the 1/55s.

To Vince1234 There's a pic of Misa in a wedding dress in the Graffiti book here http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/books/series_best.htm It also shows Hikaru and Misa with a baby while on a day out with Max and Miria. Can't remember what was written about them. i think it was in a recap of Misia's life from birth to black hole as it also had pictures of her from different ages. Must dig it out and read it sometime.

I saw the GNUs today. really nice. I'm totally turned off on the Revolting-techs. The waist on the 19 is ridiculously long. The poseability possibilities are also pretty impressive. (Isn't a Gnu also a kind of Wildebeest?)
-
That WOULD have been one step too far. Although but again, I hope this is also BS.
-
Ok, at least two people have told me that Is this just BS? I can't find anything concrete so i'm assuming yes.

I saw one sample in Gerwalk today. Looks a bit iffy to me. I'll probably pick one up tomorrow so if anyone has any pic requests showing areas of concern, interest etc, please let me know. -

Saw the 21 on display in Akiba yesterday. Sorry, no pics. It looked to me to have a matte finish. It was only in fighter mode. The stand looks nice in clear plastic. -

Yeah, I saw the sign in Sakuraya today stating a release date for the 27th. I looked around to see my wallet inching away from me across the shop floor. I may have one in hand on Tuesday in that case. A review will surely follow. -
I'm more concerned with what they do with the left over matter when a person is reconstituted in the Miclone process.

Terminator Salvation, colon, Really Long Movie Title
Alex replied to bsu legato's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I never understood the criticism that some have directed at SHAFT. I actually liked it. Bale put in a great performance in that movie (though he was pretty much riding the wave of the character he played in American Psycho). And anyway, any chance for Richard Roundtree to take one more crack at playing Shaft is fine by me. -
They'd have just ONE word to say.........."GROOS!!!!!!"
-
Yeah, I know that it was a reference. But FAR more people know Densha Otoko than Daicon. But I guess i'll blame them both as you suggest.
-
I can never forgive Densha Otoko: the tv series for ruining my beloved ELO. I can never listen to "Twilight" without someone saying "OH! You must love Densha Otoko. Are you an Otaku?"

One of the things I liked about Dynamite 7 is the slightly different version of Basara that we get. He seems slightly more at peace in this one and less abrasive than he did in M7 The whole Zolan mystery doesn't bother me too much. Perhaps THEY are Proto-culture Although, being marsupials, do the Zolans have pouches? I can't remember.
-
Ah. You're thinking of "Speed Buggy". One of the knock-off Scooby-Doo shows. That was just.......bad.
