Hang on. So, multiple copies of the movie get made. Numerous home versions, cinemas etc. EVERY copy with Ranka singing in Hi-def, surround-sound. Frontier is doomed. -
The 21 is the second best of the bunch for me. It has really nice articulation and is the best candidate for customizers wanting to make a non-perfect transforming 21. The head has some nice articulation and the limbs have more than enough lee-way for some great poses. The plastic on these things feels really nice. They don't feel cheap (except maaaybe the 11). Thing I like about these kits is that I can leave my 1/60s in fighter and have these next to them to show off the battroid for fraction of the cost of buying two.

Maybe that's what happened in Mac7. Exedor/dol got confused by DYRL and thought THAT'S how he is supposed to look.

1/60 perfect transforming vf-1 from yamato?
Alex replied to Shaggydog's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Haven't seen this mentioned. Looks like the swing bar for the hips will be different on the 1/60. Doesn't look as if the underside of the fuselage opens up anymore. Seems as if two "nubs" will lock into the holes. I'm guessing. -
I seem to remember posting about the brittle-bone syndrome of the VF-0S. The swing bar on mine literally started crumbling away into dust.

I noticed that the SMS logo kind of looks like a honeycomb. I don't know why that's significant. -

I'm even more intrigued by the absence of the UN Spacy Kite after hearing of it's return in this episode. -
I also noticed that the Shogo that comes with the Prot has 'Six-wax" on his jacket rather than "sex-wax". The Ghost of Milton is pi#$ed.

That's actually a good point. I spoke to two people who didn't realize the hips locked. And can someone confirm that the seat rotates automatically when you transform it back to fighter. Graham was suspicious of my claim in his review -

I was looking at some of my Yammer-toes last night and wondering WHEN they will introduce air-intake covers that don't have to be removed. Still counts as part-forming to me. Pfft. Perfect variable my aunt Fanny. -
They ARE great. I love these toys. But I'm a little confused by those pictures we saw of the "skeleton". The toys have NO internal skeleton that can be exposed by removing the "shell". The joints are integrated itno the battroid pieces. Is that skeleton going to be introduced in later models?

How big is that line of non-transforming Garlands? Wouldn't fit inside the Slave but might be able to ride the maneuver.

I'm hoping ever so hard that the VA is bought in such overwhelming quantities that Yamato decides to do a 1/60 scale or even GNU version. Actually, i'd be more than happy with GNU.

That ISN'T on there!? That's was one of the things I was going to buy the cd FOR. Always reminds me of Cowbop.

You can't take off the pieces unless you put pressure on that part. If it is stressing the part then taking it off to avoid stressing would cause stre............woah.....circular, dude Anyway....it's obviously an intentional design point. not anything to worry about. Just to be careful with. -

Ok, this is mostly for everyone, but especially for BOB. "For BOB's Sake!" Be careful of the fins on the arms. There is a small plastic part that holds these on. If you put too much pressure on the fins the fins will pop off (seems to be designed that way). HOWEVER, the small piece that anchors them there will fly off and i'm talking SEVERAL FEET. It's not a QC issue, just a slightly annoying design. be careful with this. I just glued mine in there. -

I hope to god that you didn't use those plyers in the background to detach those limbs. -
Only if you change the "RO" for "BE" . MAC-U-BE-SU/MAC-U-RO-SU Hikaru plotting to kill Captain Global after being told by that he would ascend to be captain by a trio of cloaked bridge-bunnies? OH, the missed opportunities.

Can someone remind me why Macross' original name "Macbeth" was dropped? I was just explaining a little bit of the history of Mac to a friend and I just remembered that.
-
I always wondered whether Misa, in the Mac universe, was considered a "Camilla".
-
Be careful of the 19 leg fins. One of the fins on mine broke off very easily, two minutes out of the box. It was mostly because it hadn't been glued on properly. Easily fixed though. And it looks like Yamato made it easier for customizers to work on these things. I can easily see a very talented person making a non-perfect transforming out of the 19.

How does a Variable Fighter move?
Alex replied to Firefighter Destroid's topic in Movies and TV Series
As for mecha movement, I always assumed that a certain series of movements (a set) was initiated by a certain combination of controls (like a game pad). Say, a combination of two movements=raise and aim gun=pod. Another combination=block eye-sensors with fore-arm. The pilots basically learn how to initiate these sets in the desired order. I never assumed that the pilots had ANY control over fine movement. Maybe that's why Max was so good at that Valkyrie game. -
I think this is a pretty nice idea (marketing aside). Hopefully, a series develops over time. I'm all for a change in opening theme if it reflects the change in the story/characterization in the show.
