  1. Received my Beagle this afternoon. Quite annoyed about the complete lack of friction on the helmet-head. One thing i wish they had done was place the faux LEDs on the breasts (similar to the MH). The painted ones look rather flat to me.
  2. My Beagle should arrive tomorrow and the tracking number should be sent to me when it ships. Since I only live 30 minutes from Over-drive, should I expect the tracking number today or would it arrive tomorrow morning?
  3. This recall of the Maia fighter remninds me of the great moment In the Shadow Chronicles When the Regis-and Kathy-Lee says to Marlene "their fighters are now completely invisible to our sensors" Despite the fact that there is a giant HD TV showing those very same fighters as clear as day!
  4. That's what I wanted to see. I would like to see Stick rocking out with some 1/10 guitars but I guess those pics will be coming somewhere down the line. Friday ( between 12 and 2) cannot come fast enough.
  5. Looks as if the scope is not perfect transformation.
  6. Could one of the lucky ones who already have thier beagle post some close ups of the scope? And a special request; Stick kneeling down in armour while aiming his rifle. Thanks. Edit. And does the Mospeada fold up into a nice little unit as per the anime?
  7. I guess you need a box that big to contain the sheer amount of awesomeness that the Beagle generates. I am kind of getting annoyed by these large boxes recently. For example, those Garland figs that occupied something like 5% of the box. They're almost a parody of themselves. EDIT- Btw, has anyone noticed whether there are any areas in which the cloth may split at the seams (crotch, under the arms etc)? That's the thing i'm most concerned with on this fig.
  8. I'm not exactly angry about the size of the box but I was hoping that Beagle would buck that particular trend. When I was checking out the Beagles some guy in his mid-50's leapt put in front of me and grabbed one like a maniac. That guy must have been waiting a loooooooong time for this.
  9. Wow, is that box ever big. I handled one at my local Sakuraya and it seemed bigger than the frickin Garland's. Getting mine delivered from Overdrive on Friday. Was going to pick it up myself but don't want to carry that bugger to my meeting. Is there any need for such a big box? I could house a REAL Beagle in that thing.
  10. I kind of wish that the tyres on the Beagle were more matte and a little more rugged. Not a big problem though. Got my Beagle coming from Overdrive this week. Ghee-YAH!
  11. Hope so. Since I can't physically get to the shops till the 23rd i'm going to try to go online and order one. Asked Ren about a little shop in Osaka that might have them. That high price could be a blessing in disguise in this case. edit Just contacted Overdrive to see if they can reserve one for me for collection on Friday. Fingers-crossed
  12. Wasn't there a line of models based on the Cities of Gold? I'm sure that there was a model of the golden Condor available sometime in the late 80s. I was always a fan of this show. Great opening title music.
  13. Curses. I was hoping that the Japanese release was later this month. I hope that it is not an in stant sell out like the VF1 1/60 was.
  14. Hey. Another question I can't seem to find an answer to. I've heard that the Japanese release of the Beagle is Schduled for around January 26th. Anyone know if that's the case?
  15. So the Beagle is out today? Probably won't have time to go get one till at least next Friday. I'm guessing that they will probably be sold out over here by then. When will the Ray be coming out. February or March?
  16. Do the legs extend on the DX?. Never bother to check. Oh. You mean the ankles. Nevermind.
  17. The tab on my Ozma just doesn't lock at all. It slides in but isn't held by anything. If I don't angle the Battroid's upper torso slightly forward then it will simply fall backwards at the hips. I've really got to stop buying the first release of every Valkyrie that comes out coz i've got enough lemons to put the Girl Scouts out of the lemonade industry.
  18. Well, I've decided to take back my Ozma and exchange it for a new one. The non-locking hips in Battroid mode are a pain. The friction is going in the joints now so It no longer stays still when posed. The torso just falls back leaving the legs alone standing up straight. Is this a common problem or an isolated case? Don't want to risk getting an other lemon. Rather just get the money back.
  19. The 1/72 headlasers are not far off the 1/60 lasers. I`ve been thinking about transplanting them.
  20. I'm a little disappointed to find put that the villain in is That kind of ruins the end of for me. And it is officially canon as according to the writers.
  21. Bought the Ozma but wished i'd gone for the Alto now. Those bloody head lazers are so flimsy. And the little clip and sliding door affair doesn't work for me. I have to pose it leaning forward to avoid the ass-gazing that my 1/72 Ozma ended up doing after THAT plug broke.
  22. The day the ANIME community stood still. Aw, hell. To be honest........ can see it working. He'd cetainly convey's Spike's frustration with Faye et al pretty well.
  23. I guess the crew he used in that first job was quite skilled but i'm sure he could have hired them at any time. He's already has a talent for planning. And those guys in the crew didn't seem to kn ow that much about the Joker in the first place. He hasn't made any impact on the various crime families ("Just some Joker in a purple suit and make-up. Nothing to worry about") It's probably just the shoe-horning of the Joker scene in at the end of BB. They wanted to "introduce" him in the second movie but needed at least a year to develop the story to set him up. Makes me wonder if there is any potential for stories to fill the gaps. Nothing explicitly states that this movie showed the first encounter between the Joker and Batman.
  24. I just realised what was bugging me about the introduction of the Joker in the movie. At the end of BB, Gordon shows Batman the Joker's playing card. When we come into TDK it's already one year later. However, most people seem to be only vaguely aware of the Joker. Why did he decide to suddenly bring himself into the big-time?
  25. I seem to remember that Frank Miller's original Spirit movie plot had the Spirit's will power alone increased by one of the Octopus' experiments and that explained his seeming invulnerability and his success with the ladies (no healing power/pheremone powers). I'm sure I also read a pretty cheezy tagline along the lines of "You can't break the Spirit" Anyone know where this info appeared?
