In theory, the Strike Parts will be available longer than 30 sec because it is a web purchase like the missiles. My strategy is to just land a PO for 1S and worry about Strike afterwards as they should be available awhile longer. I picked up the Missiles a couple months after PO release.

Ok, they're going to make more of these compared to the 1J. ... ... ... (Obviously, I have no idea, but thought it an appropriate time to be a smart ass. Sorry. Not sorry. It's my sense of humor.)

So with VF-1S shipping in Nov, when do you all anticipate PO night? A couple of weeks to a month? Didn't give any indication that it would be TWE other than the Strike Parts being available through Soul Web. As my screen name and avatar indicates, I'll be cracked out and ready for this one. If I miss out for some reason, I'll be willing to trade a Max that I snagged on PO night for anyone who needs him/wants him at PO night prices. (I don't want to miss Max, but I really can't go without DYRL VF-1S haha.)

Finally, picked up PF SDF-1 and added the running parts. Damn that was expensive and as others attested to worth every penny.

I recently tried to purchase an Arcadia SDF-1 for what looked like close to original MSRP. They came back two days later and said they didn’t have it in stock and gave a refund. I had another experience like that not too long before. So, I haven’t been thrilled with the experience there.

I mean, you could still get one....with a bit of a premium price. I totally understand not wanting to. Personally, I had to pay a small premium for Hikaru. Better than what prices are hitting for VF-1J now and what I presume Max will get to some time after release.

I think @Phangry was referring to the “original three” (which was released first but starts with Ep. 4). I think most of us would agree that Ep 1-3 suck. And though not Macross related, I would watch it in the “Machete” order if you watch the Ep 1-6 @Shizuka the Cat

Better than the $400 it’s costing for a VF-1J. I paid $275 for a 1J that had already been displayed by a collector. If they ever do anything beyond the “initial release”/“first release” then I’ll still want one new.

They have an eBay store with 100% rating though seems to come up in Europe. I wound up not picking it up since I have a pre-order already. Hoping the gamble pays off for those that grabbed em! But for the price and protection from PayPal I think it’s worth the gamble.

I’m debating a second one from here. You can make a claim for PayPal up to 180 days so it would be in the window if the launch doesn’t get pushed.
