Same here. With how many they've sold through, I'm hoping this at least gets us a 1S sooner in the line of orders than if we purchased later.

Dude...it sucked. I was cartjacked trying to pay by CDJapan, Kurama Shop (those bastards had the nerve to send me an email saying "hey you have something in your cart...you should check out,") and N-Y. Ami Ami cartjacked while going to the order page after adding to cart. And HLJ just sat there with "Adding to cart." So, I was able to get far with bloody 5 of them with nothing to show at MSRP. HA. I guess I'm a sucker for punishment? Totally. I feel you. My damn screen name throws me under the bus though. I had to get this one. With EMS it cost me $300 at NY. Time to go sell some of stuff to make up for this....

Like I said at the beginning of last night. Gotta go into this madness like you would Vegas. Set your limits ahead of time, know how much you're willing to lose, and have fun. If you win, even better. I'm not mad about the markup at NY, cuz it's still going to be cheaper or equal to anything you find. For those that missed out, if you want it bad enough, be ready for release day and likely pay that markup anyway. Or go to Lapooza for a similar markup now. I missed 1J PO and the night he was released I saw the markup madness after everyone got jacked. I thought it would level out since it was a "first edition." Yeah, it hasn't. I was lucky to find one from another collector for about what I paid last night to NY and that is cheap compared to Mandarake or eBay. I was lucky to snag a 1A at MSRP. Vegas baby. You win some you lose some. But most importantly play with...

For those holding out on HLJ... I've been connecting with a customer service rep since 1A (though it did nothing for my endeavor last night). Anyway, it's sold out. Period. So, I wouldn't waste time trying to process payment. It might just get cancelled on you or tell you that you can't proceed. Keep it in your cart and stay alert. If they get more stock, you'll already have it ready to process. That's how I got one at NY during the first 2nd wave release. Got cartjacked at MSRP waiting for the Payment screen to process so it was in my cart already. And landed one at that markup.

I started in the site early on in the night like 30 min before madness and then stayed searching in the site. I never went to the ticket. BUT, while I was waiting to process payment it cartjacked me. So I just purchased the markup.

Though the 1A is a different string than 1J. I confirmed that the BANS also reflected the same digits within the 1J JAN but the URL string isn’t consistent otherwise.

Not necessarily. Some sites don't use the JAN in the description, specs, etc. Some do. Right?! And also anyone who is like "screw Bandai! This is the last time I ever do this for the 1/48 line." Hmm...maybe the 1J or 1A shoulda been the last time. Yeah, this will suck too so maybe not worth the time.

Yeah that’s where I got it last time as well. Was wondering if you happened to find it elsewhere. I’ll post here when I see it if someone doesn’t post first. It’s not a bad idea to have it even though I didn’t find it extremely beneficial last time.

People might be hoping that the last PO was an anomaly and/or that quantities will be higher with this Valk being so popular in Japan for Macross. After last time, I’m with you. Tempered expectations. It’s like going to gamble. Go in with a set amount that you’re willing to lose and then walk away content with that when you do. Anything you win is just bonus.

It’s the best time to be a “kid at heart” because I have the financial means to afford this kickass stuff. Teaches my kids to never let life tell you that you can’t have fun and enjoy art, creativity and imagination.

I hear ya! Me too. But isn’t the demographic mostly old men on here haha. I know I am! At 41, it’s a labor of love to be doing this PO madness. Hoping to land the first 30 min and sleep, but 1A kept me up till 3:30AM MT last time before I landed so not expecting it haha. Wife is out of town too so it’s going to be a rough Monday between work and single-parenting two kids under 6 haha.

I have the app and it notifies me when new Macross product pops up. It was quick enough for me to get 1A in the cart last time....then cart jacked. Have you found the JAN on this one yet?
