Yeah I don’t see a reason for them to re-release Cannon Fodder unless a key character uses it for something in the new movie. Otherwise, maybe just packs or nothing.

It was $1000 with shipping . The most I’ve spent on a Valk. But it was worth every damn penny because it’s in impeccable shape. That there is 1984/1985 preserved in a box. Next most spent was the 1/3000 PF SDF-1 and finally my 31A thanks to @no3Ljm. The 31A on AmiAmi is about what I paid is memory serves right. It’s a great price considering what it’s going for. If someone has the funds and wants one, get it at this price.

That would be awesome! Except not so awesome for me lol. But I would still think it as a worthy adversary.

I got it for 19,800 Yen right before release day technically. I couldn’t remember what their PO price was. Do you recall?
-
Wow, that’s a bummer. LOL except in this case where I actually got PO price. Just arrived defective. Yup! Because they never responded to PayPal. So there was no instruction to return etc. PayPal just decided in my favor and took the liability to chase them down for further action.
-
Oh, $45 is not worth it to me either. But, PayPal gives like 10 or 14 business days for the seller to respond to a dispute. They never did, so PayPal already fully refunded me. It took them this long to reply to my initial email, and I gave them a week or two before making a dispute. I imagine they'll find the dispute communication over the next week (PayPal used the same email address to communicate with HS as I did). So, the question is do they ban me, keep me as a customer but let the refund satisfy the situation, or miss the whole thing and issue me $45 in "points" on top of the refund that PayPal granted? Inquiring minds want to know...
-
I think many of will have an extra set or two to sell...
-
Yes, totally put the decimal point wrong. It is $45 good catch! Still, they may ban me once they figure out the PayPal dispute. It was on a joint of the leg near the intakes. So, I can't transform it. But looks great in fighter mode! Just got SSP today to go on it.

Honestly, I have no idea. LOL. I've never been able to secure the Macross product I wanted before this one. Looks like it'll equate to 5,000 Yen HA so like a whole $4.50. https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/point/111/000 1 Point = 1 yen (JPY)

For anyone following my Hobby Search defective VF-1S saga, they finally replied to my initial email to support. Super great email, but they only offered HS points (though normally they would exchange it if there was still stock available). The problem is that it took soooo long for them to reply to me. Also, it seems like if it took them that long to reply, they probably haven't seen the PayPal correspondence yet. Will keep ya'll posted if I get banned. It'll be interesting to see how they handle it.

I'm about to jump in on Yeti. I need to utilize my space better! That is all.

Right?! Thankfully, I have the old Matchbox/Bandai/Takatoku one in great shape, but it doesn't hold a candle to the Arcadia DYRL PF SDF-1. That thing is unreal. I mean, playability on the TV version is way better, but as a collector and to just sit in my display case, the DYRL one is breathtaking. Worth every aftermarket penny I spent.
-
Huh... hadn't thought of that!! Problem solved hahaha.

Yeah man. I'm addicted. I'm so antsy waiting for the next Macross release that I just picked up some KitzConcept stuff. Also, I hunted down all of the Toynami Robotech action figures on clearance at GameStop by asking Alexa to give me random zip codes and calling any store that came up in the search on their site. I really like the hunt of it. HA. The problem with these 1/48 DX's is that they are so damn big. I'll collect all of the SDFM and DYRL, but I'm not going to have room for it all. I'd much rather them be 1/60. I have the whole Delta crew in a retail case right now and will likely have to move the DYRL crew there over the next year or so as they're released. But then I'm not sure what the hell I'll do with my Siege Omega Supreme.... Maybe I can force my kids to share a room and take over one of the rooms for a full on collectors space?

Duuuude. I was just thinking the same and about to post/whine about it. I'm jones'ing. I NEED MY FIX! Been too long since I've been pissed off on PO night. Plus, I'm getting ready for the drinking game.
-
LMAO, very apropos. It's ironic that the very thing we hide our Valks from is the thing we bask it in if a vintage item is already yellowed. (I'm actually doing it right now on a Mini-SDF-1 that I got off of Robotech.com a month or so ago.)
-
Yeah, I don't use artificial UV LEDs to whiten. Good 'ole sun works just fine haha.
-
I'll throw this in as well: When looking at how to whiten old plastic toys (i.e. Matchbox SDF-1), the UV light is what activates the ingredients (i.e. developer) and whitens the toy. Researching it, I found there are UV LED lights you can purchase and use for this process instead of direct sunlight. The point is that these are specific UV LED lights. Regular LED won't work and don't give off UV. An example of ones that do are for growing plants.

Yup. I haven’t had any real issues but recently tried to cancel an order for store credit on the SSP that I should’ve received in Dec. I got bitch slapped and told my order will arrive in April. End of discussion. And I’m sure I’ll buy from them again. (I assumed this would be the outcome but worth the try.)

I will go on record to say that this Yamato 1/48 is easily the sexiest of that scale. Yellowing problem solved. However, I have no greater Valkyrie love than for the DX DYRL.
-
Well 1/60 Yamarcadia is not really an apples to apples comparison to Bandai DX (1/48). So, for my part, my preferences are based on the apples to apples Yammie 1/48 to Bandai DX (1/48). I still don't care for how light the 1/60 feels but don't have a Bandai to truly compare it to.
-
I personally agree with this. I have high regard for Yamato 1/48. But prefer Bandai. The only superior thing is the "under-the-hood" detail IMO. And that is a moot point if you never display it, like me. (I don't think that was ever shown in the series or movie right? I don't recall.) Sorry to interject, I didn't read it as being set off. We've been having a fun and lively debate on Yammie over Bandai for a number of pages in this thread now. I think it's quite interesting how personal taste plays out in whether one thing is better than another. I'm enjoying reading the back and forth FWIW.

I am not talented in either of these areas nor brave enough to try lol. So I will vicariously live through you all.

Anyone going to try and customize that?
