spacemanspiff replied to spacemanspiff's topic in Toys
So this beaut showed-up today. I'm impressed, but wish it was bigger (I think my wife said the same thing to me). The detail is amazing! Just Amazing! This is the 1/3000 scale SDF-1 Macross Premuim Finish perfect transformation toy/piece. I haven't even transofrmed it yet, I just enjoy looking at it! You can too: -

Thanks. Wait! Transformable? at that scale. Please tell me more about the transformable ones. I can't differenciate the ones on ebay. -

Is the GERWALK one from a pencil sharpener? I found one on ebay, but I can't gauge the scale. -

This is amazing! Any chance you would be willing to share the city backdrop art you used? I'd like to add it to mine. -

Cool. I have a 6" Flightpose stand and will try it when this baby arrives. Thanks for the feedback. I've also been searching for some tiny fighters to display with the SDF-1. I found some that are between 2-3 inches long (I know that is still too big for true scale). I'm hoping putting these fighters in the foreground will just add to the display. -

Anyone know where I can purchase a landing gear for the Arcadia 1/3000 SDF-1? Or a better flight stand? -
Thank you for the clarification. I did receive an envolope as you explained. Really appreciate the heads-up on this practice. Cliff-notes on situation: I ordered missles on ebay. They sent a shipping notification. The package recieved was an envelope stating they would ship the items when they are released in Japan. Apprently this is a practice to get around ebay's 30-day shipping window. It was new to me and this fine group clued me into what was going on. Carry-on with your Macross awesomeness!

Here's some menu/loading screenshots. Some of the ships seem to pay homage to the SDF-1. Especially the ship with the city and tress on top of it. My fighter is the red one; styled a bit to look like 1986 Jetfire toy.

I've been making may way through some of the offical Macross/Robotech games (The best so far being the Japanese PS2 Sega AM2: Super Dimension Fortress Macross). I stumbled across this game for the PS4 (and PC, I believe) STRIKE VECTOR EX. Some of my gameplay is below. The game controlls so fluidly and feels like a Macross game. Check it out if you can, it's just fun!

I love your work. Thanks for sharing all the details. I don;t have your amazing skillset, but I'm hoping to add a simple Blue LED light into the same area you did to try and get a lighting affect. Something like this (if it will fit): https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00LZUX07O/?coliid=I1KKVXZJ4N7659&colid=1KDLA1FIL2ETU&psc=0&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it or this maybe: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00UL543R0/?coliid=I4PFAM5TS2UWU&colid=1KDLA1FIL2ETU&psc=0&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it Thanks for the inspiration! -

Is there an English subtitld (or Voice acted) DYRL movie version? I;ve found some on YouTube, but would like to have an actual copy. I purchased teh DYRL Hybrid Blu-Ray for the PS3 game and started to watch the movie, but to my surprise, there was no English Subtitle option.- 183 replies

Oh joy! I've scored a NEW Arcadia SDF-1 PF for $620 shipped on ebay. I am rather excited and thank you all for giving me the research materials to find this gem. I'll post pics once it arrives. I'm hoping to 3D print some tiny VFs to place around this guy. We shall see if I can make anything that small. -
Wow! These are nice!

I like the style of the Megahouse, but not the parts-forming aspect. That being said, it looks to be the best SDF-1 from the TV version. -
I don't recall, but that makes sense. Thanks for adding this info.
