MEP says the figure is 150mm which is 5.9" tall. Later in the description it says that the pre-order bonus is 4.3", not the figure. They're talking about the ship that comes as a bonus item.

Just PO'd one from Big Bad Toy Store. I didn't care much about the bonus, and BBTS is local place I like to support. This should pair well with my HMRs. Not sure if I want the others though, maybe Exodol, definitely Miria if they make a Meltlandi version of her (but it doesn't look like it's planned).

I initially thought that people were wrong about the fighter mode display adapter being only for super parts. I have been using it quite well by finagling it past the front of the gun/arms and snapping it into the holes for the super parts. But then I decided to take a closer look... I noticed that the adapater tabs were prying apart the arms and causing the gun to come loose, even though the adapter holds it in firmly (which is why I hadn't noticed until now). It also doesn't cup the arms like it does the super parts. So I took my trusty exacto knife to slice a little off of the outside edges of the tabs. It's much better now but still doesn't cup the arms like it should. However, it is now QUITE strong and actually holds the arms together instead of prying them apart as the edges of the cup does go around them slightly. As you can see, I can hold it sideways (and even shook it around) with no problem.

Well poop nuggets. And I even ordered 2 even though I only have one valk just to support the project (and to get the best of 2 different sets). I wonder how much the price would have to go up to make a limited run happen. Or maybe they'd sell the cad files for printing on shapeways or something like that.

Oooh! Thought it was a Bandai product... wait, isn't this the Bandai one for just $40. I wonder why this one is so cheap when all the others on ebay are over a hundred.

How is that NOT a kaioken Goku other than the lack of title? And wth does "demoniacal fit" mean? Is the lighting weird or is the scarlet and demoniacal refer to having red clothes instead of orange? If it has red clothes, then that's just a result of being all kaioken'd out and having the red tint from his energy halo imho. Or was that the intention? Why not just call it what it is.

The Tamashi Stage Act stands seem to work great and are the same that are included with M&Ms. I got the Stage Act 4 and Combination sets.

These are on sale rn at HLJ for $163 and the premium finish versions for $250! Wish I could afford those, but then I'd be on a dark path towards replacing all my HMR with 1/60 versions, and I don't nned that in my life.

I actively PLAY with my "toys" (even my prized DX YF-19) lately about once a week or so (although I don't have them all out at once). That's why I bought the knock off VF-1S and HMRs. I bought the DX because it was so freakin awesome and my favorite valk, and it's been on the shelf and played with just as much as the others. I transform my toynami valks at work nearly every day, and despite being cheap and kinda flimsy (and having to do a major repair on one), they've held up well. I cautiously let my 5yr old daughter play with my HMRs, and she was the inspiration for one of my best poses when she balled the thing up and knocked off some of the Fext armor. I actually dropped my HMR VF-1J Hikaru from about 7ft up onto a hardwood floor when it fell off the shelf. Didn't hurt it a bit! I am constantly surprised (and suspicious) when I see really old valks for sale that have never been taken out of the box or "taken out once for inspection and never/once transformed." How did you resist the temptation? And why did you buy it if you didn't want to play with it? I guess I just don't understand the concept of collecting for... value? keeping perfect packaging? I'm the same with cars. I've had some classics, sports cars, and currently own a sweet little coupe, but I actually DRIVE them. I put snow tires on a rare Toyota MR2 Spyder and drove it in the winter as it was my daily driver. Surprisingly, it was the best car I've ever driven in the snow! The point of a car is to drive it, just as the point of a toy is to play with it. At least imho. I'm not going to fault anyone for collecting and not playing with their toys despite my lack of understanding, but I would like to encourage everyone... GET YOUR TOYS OUT AND PLAY WITH THEM!

UV light will damage the polymer strains in plastic and cause it to become discolored and brittle the same as sunlight. Blacklight is UV light, so even if you use LEDs, it's just as damaging. If it were me, I'd install blacklights but leave them off 99% of the time and only turn them on for visitors, parties, photos, etc..

Not to bag on any other's desires/opinions, but why would anyone want clear covers when the covers are removable? If you want to see inside, you remove the cover. But some foggy, plastic covers instead (that will probably yellow)...? I just don't get it.

Oh, sorry, I really didn't mean to imply you were or to insult your style, I just meant that you did a great job of making the toy look awesome with just a plain background. And I get it, don't wanna give away yr secrets.

I had the exact same issues ordering Valk Factory stuff from Show.z with their free "standard" shipping. If I clicked on the tracking number from my account page, it took me to 17track which didn't even recognize the number. I'm pretty sure I tried Aftership as well at some point with the same results. Only cnexps.com could track it. I don't think it's specific to Aliexpress (unless all shippers are required to use it for some reason) but probably happens anytime someone uses China Post.

Hi @Kuma Style, love your shots man! What equipment are you using to make your photos look so damn good? That last one looks like it's just sitting on some old cardboard, but somehow you still made it look awesome! I'm only taking pics with my smartphone and the backdrops from the bottoms of new valk boxes, and you be shamin them with your pro stuff. I gotta up my game!

They seem to be doing re-runs of the most popular sets, 000, 101, and 102F. There's also a reseller on ebay who seems to have all of them, but he wants almost double the price. I made the mistake of buying a 102F off of him thinking that these were a limited run thing like most Macross stuff seems to be... then the very next week Fext came out with more of that exact model.

Oh! I see the difference now, thanks for the clarification. Hm, which one would I want... I like having the missiles and... well otherwise, it doesn't look that much different and the kai version isn't canon is it (why even do that)? But the listing on ebay has a pic that looks like a development model which doesn't have the black stripes or missiles, so who tf knows.

I thought those pics looked familiar when I was looking at the 1/72 kits today! What does "kai" mean?

I saw these and was intrigued, but I'm not familiar with Macross Delta. I'd love to watch it, but it's really expensive. But I love this figure/valk thing and thought it was a great idea... until I noticed that the girl isn't any of the characters???! Is that right, or is it some other character? Anyway, that got me to thinking, what character WOULD be with it. It seems Hayate and Freyja were an item, so that would make a good pairing, right? I wonder if there's an action figure of Freyja that's generally the right size... And it seems that answer is YES! An SH Figuarts Freyja is 135mm tall, and it looks like the Aoshima figure is 150mm. Does anyone have either figure to take measurements of? What would be required to make Freyja's dress a little more flexible? And now I'm thinking, what about a Lynn/VF-1J pairing? I wonder if I could hack a 1/72 model to hold my Kitzconcepts figure in a similar manner. Hmm...

Those Transformers look amazeballs, but if they don't transform... are they really "transformers"? Just saying. Let the downvotes commence.
