Has anyone gotten their MEPToys Britai figure yet? It was supposed to come out back in May but keeps getting pushed back. Any word on that, or is it just because I went through BBTS?

I made a post about this very thing a while back. The included adapter works quite well if you just trim it a bit. See here...

1/3000 SDF1 Robotech TV version by Matchbox/Bandai (not the Takatoku version). 600x600 DPI scan. Box for reference courtesy of @jenius and Anymoon.com where he also has a scan of the stickers and instructions (the stickers here are mine) so thank you!

Also on ebay is a guy selling 3D reprints of the usual broken bits, arms, cannons, and the like. If you can pick up a broken one cheap and don't mind painting, it's not a bad deal. I considered it, but I found one with an unused sticker sheet for $150. If anyone wants, I can scan it and post it here as an image. I was planning on just painting them on.

Your most recent Macross or toy purchase! General thread.

Did you pay extra for "collector packaging"? If so, I would take it up with them. Also, those boxes look more than a bit kicked around, so I wouldn't immediately blame BBTS. -
I was a sucker for the cute, complacent eyes of the playmax model, but those too are not the eyes of an assertive, top brass female. I may try my own if not too small (they're way too small). The hair is perfect on the kc figure tho. Ah, who am I kidding. I have the Minmei figure already, so I have to get this one.

My apologies for posting something non-Macross related. I don't mean to be argumentative, but I would have assumed that the "overtechnology think tank" was the obvious label that specified Macross (looking back now, I saw @no3Ljm's post and... duh), but it seemed like a general toy thread much like the "most recent Macross or toy purchase" thread which would be in constant violation of that rule. My bad. This is a Macross Forum, so I will keep it on track from now on.

My appologies... deleted.

It says about 100yen. Isn't that only about $1USD?

Awesome! Now, is there some way I can buy one of these without learning Japanese? I take it that you're making these Xigfrid? If so, could I purchase one from you directly?

I had the same prob, but I noticed that it would go back with steady, careful pressure. Once it did it became much easier. You just have to force it.

You can use this armor for Gerwalk, I did it as a joke a while back, but without the chest and nose armor, it looks quite good.

I was talking about the HM non-R for sale being compatible with my HMR brownie.

Where did you get this, or is this a future product? None of the sci-fi sets available look like this, and nothing comes with clear ceiling parts. Nevermind, didn't see the first post. Someone did ask about clear wall bits for lighting, and I did notice that the new Sci-fi2 set has them.

Does anyone know if the chest piece is interchangeable with the HMR line? I might like to pick this up for spare parts and to change my brownie to a Kakizaki.

NOICELY DUNN! -
I got a payment request from AmiAmi today for the Misa Hayase figure. Well I guess it's technically a kit, but if it's totally painted and simply needs to be snapped together, it sounds like more of a figure to me. But then I've never gotten one of these Playmax 1/20 figure kits before. Am I in for more than I expect? The description makes it sound like there's eye stickers and different color options, so that sounds fairly complete color wise. Let me know if I should post this elsewhere.

SERIOUSLY?! I thought I pulled and yanked on that thing enough to find something like that, but perhaps I was focused on the wrong joint. Don't hate me... But the area behind the back seat was in the way, plus I thought if I could cut it precisely enough at an angle, I could get the canopy to just snap in. But it kinda fell apart back there. However, that left it clear for the canopy to sit at the proper position and angle, so I used my trusty little 1/16" drill bit to cut a hole in both the tab on the canopy and the plastic at the back of the cabin and used a tiny screw to hold it in place.

Cool! How did you take the arm off? I didn't miss a perfectly easy place to take it apart did I?
