1. This is a long shot, but nothing to lose by trying. I got a Matchbox VF-1S a while back on eBay but unfortunately, one of the landing gear is broken and won't stay put in the storage bay for flight mode display. Viewed from the top and back of the plane, it's the right landing gear. If anyone has 1 to spare, please let me know.

It's got to be from a VF-1S that's made in Japan, not China, because the color of the plastic is different for both (the Japan one is more greyish, the China one more yellowish).

I'm from Singapore, I would be willing to pay something reasonable for shipping and the item.

    Thanks for looking.

  2. I've recently gotten 2 e-mails, complete with authentic looking PayPal logos, informing me that the PayPal system has supposedly picked up someone trying to access my account from outside my home country, and if I'm the real owner, I should click on the attached link, or risk having my account suspended. The name of the sender was even "PayPal Security Service". I just right-clicked on the link, saw the URL and knew it was a scam. Went into PayPal and changed my password, just to be sure.

The thing I don't get is, how did they know my e-mail address and that I use PayPal, unless they've spyware, in which case I'm really not in a safe situation. :(

  3. I can't even sign in. I checked their announcement board and they are aware of the issue and are working on it.

same here ... have difficulty signing in as of now ;)

That's a relief to know. Thought someone was hacking in or something, and I've started to run the 1000 anti-spyware anti-virus anti-everything that I have on my computer to hunt down what-I-don't-know.

Had my account hacked in once. Happened when I used a public terminal once to log onto my Yahoo e-mail which holds all the messages that comes in from eBay. They got the password to that e-mail account, figured out my eBay ID and tried the same password and got into eBay, even listed a bike for sale! Thankfully eBay spotted the uncharacteristic behavior of my account and suspended it until I came by to retrieve it back.

So moral of the story: Be careful when using public terminals, especially those weak on anti-spyware.

Wonder if eBay will compensate those sellers whose auctions are ending around this time, since the problem may hinder snipe bidding and thus cause some auctions to fetch lower prices...

  4. Okay I thought I would mention this on the boards and see if this is happening to anyone else...

And yes I have already sent a message to eBay.

I am basically doing my normal weekly listing.  Except for one thing keeps happening.  After I do a listing I click on My Ebay.  When the page loads it is someone elses account.  I am literally in someone elses account!  I can see everything they have for auction and can even access it.  Well I logged out and logged back in.  Same thing happened except this time it was a different users account.  I did user searches and they are definately members.  I figured they were doing something so I tried it again...and I got someone elses account.  All of them are in the U.S. so I figure ebay has something seriously wrong with thier software.

I didn't mess with anyones stuff when I was in...but I wonder if people are getting access to my account as well.  You could do some serious damage to someone if you wanted to.

This has me a tad bit worried.  I am waiting for eBays reply...I hope they fix this soon.

So if you have problems with your account..this is probably the reason.

With some luck (or not), you may get logged onto arafat's account. If so, maybe you can list the Bandai VE-1 through there for cheap.:ph34r:

  5. At least 2 big fish to be exact, you need the 2nd highest bidder to be just as crazy. Actually, it's high time happy sellers recognise the 2nd highest bidders. Without them, prices wouldn't be what they are. :D:D

every now-and-then a big fish shows up on eBay and buys everything in sight for a few months and then disappears into obscurity... probably when his wife sees the bills.... I'll bet he's gonna hose me on whatever auction I try to win next :(

Well, from the description about item condition and what not, may be the one he bought from Anglo (eBay auction #6000201350), and he shelled out $499.99 for it, so even if you wanted it, you may need to pay a lot more than that.

(ps. If you think that is expensive, another buyer paid $699.99 for another one from Anglo last Wednesday!! (auction #6005546221))

    Goodness. :o:o

  7. I am looking for this Takara Cool Girls figure (the original and not the new repaint with light up eyes) .  For a better description of this figure, please see this review:  Jin Roh Female Panzer cop

I have money ready to spend, so if you can help please let me know.  I'd also be very interested in her male counterpart that was released earlier by Dragon.  E-mail if you have any leads.

    Thanks,

    Melissa

I have the male versions that I would be willing to part with for the right price, both the Dragon versions (eyes-light-up and the one without the lighted eyes). I bought them from another collector, I've never taken them out of the boxes since I got them (sometimes I wonder why I buy collectible toys too, I never seem to take them out unless the box is smashed up or something). I can't speak for the previous owners, but the tabs that hold the accessories in place look like they've never been peeled back, so I'm guessing the previous owner at best took out the figure only, not the accessories, if at all.

The boxes do show some wear, so if you're looking for pristine condition packing, these wouldn't be suitable.

I've a Kubrick Jin Roh too, which I can also let go, although not alone, but with the sets.

Let me know, anyone, if you're interested, and what would be your best price (I'm not really into protracted bargaining, sorry). I'm also in Singapore, so I guess you've to factor that in when deciding whether I'm a suitable seller for you.

I've been trying to attach photos for the past 20 mins, but it doesn't seem to work, each time I click to add an attachment to this posting, the next page just goes blank on me, very frustrating

However, if you'd like to have photos (I've 3 in total), please let me know your e-mail address and I'd be happy to send them to you. FYI, my eBay ID is "yeongpiao", if you'd like to check my credentials out.

  8. For the love of all that is holy... I've seen this thing not go for this much MISB.  It's going for more than the Toynami, Yamato 1/60s, and Bandai (heck, as much as the takatokus if you look for loose and incomplete ones).  What are people thinking?  How come these people don't bid on my stupid auctions???

    Crapbox VF-1S

NOTE- it's missing the fast packs and missiles also...

I still think the joon's milla at $305.00 is a lot more absurd  . Maybe my max&milla set will fetch $600+ . I'll try a BIN auction just for fun

    332215

Unreal price for the Joon.:blink: Check out the feedback the seller left the guy, "Please buy from me again etc etc". I would say that too if I were the seller!! :p:p:lol:

  9. this should go in the "wanted" section.

good luck with a ve

    331458

Thanks very much. Yeah, the ve is a killer. Saw 1 being sold by anglo last week or so on eBay, hesitated cos' of the asking price, blinked and it was bought by arafat209. Well, poverty does things to you, I guess.

    331623

if arafat bought it it will be resold [at a profit] I'm sure. I as well want a seeker but need a truck more. When the choice is between a vehicle and a toy you know you spend to much on toys

    331951

The Buy-It-Now price was US499.99, I really don't know how much more the item can be marked up by. Am I the only one who think it's a little steep? But then again, when it comes to these vintage babies, can't really put a market price on them I suppose.

  10. Please let me know if you are looking to sell a mint condition (both box and item) Masterpiece VF-1S Bookend. I need the item to have never been taken out of the styrofoam packing.

Also, if you have a good condition and complete Vintage Bandai 1/55 VE-1 Elintseeker that you're looking to sell, please let me know too.

I live in Singapore, so if you could factor in shipping and insurance into your quotes for me, I'd be very grateful. I don't need the item to arrive lightning fast, so the most economical air delivery would be fine.

Please be patient with me if I reply a little late, I'm still trying to find my way around.

    Thanks!

  12. Hi, just joined Macross World. Have been on e-bay all this while and never thought of coming here. Never too late, I suppose. But I see some familiar IDs, great!
