This is my most recent box I got from Amazon.com. It came in 3 days late as Amazon moved it around their shipping network themselves before handing it off locally to USPS to deliver to my home. Thankfully, no collectables inside. Though, the item didn't work properly and needed to be exchanged.

Most ideal solution: Bigger shelf in a bigger house! If only we could all do that....

They were both Amazon.Jp orders shipped by DHL. DHL sends the boxes 10500+km to Kentucky, then at least another 7100+km to me. While Amazon.Jp boxes are thinner than most, it was most certainly shipping damage.

The 2 times I used DHL I have had box damage that was bad enough that it extended to the item box inside. The boxes were crushed. That, though, is among the worst I have seen from DHL. Unless I have no other choice, I will no longer DHL. I will pay more for shipping or wait 2 to 3 more months for my items.

Alternate retelling. Its very different. It spends more time on on his youth primarily through flashbacks. If you haven't seen the original in a while, I would recommend NOT rewatching it before giving the new show a go. The new show is NOT made for people who loved the original show growing up. If you do not like CG character animation you will not like this. If you can keep an open mind you might like the new show. I'm ok with it 7/10. Waiting for the 2nd part.

Network executives who "know better" are going to ruin the show again. Just like they did the last time for every Babylon 5 series. I also somehow have life long trauma from the show. Zooty, zoot, zoot! Has been burned into the back of my head forever.

Just got a shipping notification fro my VF-25F from Hobby-Genki. I think I picked "Surface" so its going to be awhile.

Angesdad got his AmiAmi box turned into an accordion by DHL back in October. DHL seems to be hit or miss in terms of box damage. On my last 2 AmiAmi purchases, I went with Surface Premium. It takes about 2 months to move but once it gets to the US it travels UPS to your home. I had no noticeable box damage. I don't know if it travels by boat to the US first then gets turned over to UPS or if they wait to completely fill a UPS container before shipping.

Kitz Concept Toy Thread 2.0
DewPoint replied to Stampeed Valkyrie's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Someone correct me if I'm wrong... I believe KC is only licensed by Harmony Gold. If they were licensed by Big West they would have the following 2 stickers on the box. If I recall correctly , Kitz Concept started out as a KO brand. They eventually managed to secure a Harmony Gold license and released under the Robotech brand. That being said, they seem to make the best Robotech branded stuff so far. If I weren't so limited in space, I would consider picking up a few items from them.- 2573 replies

It has yet to manifest itself in my private warehouse.

Thanks for the reminder! I need to get on my HLJ account!

I would think that Ozma would come with the armored set as he was depicted deploying with it more times than not. It was pretty much his standard load out.

I don't know about anyone else, but I've never gotten an Arcadia Valkyrie in a sealed box. That's not counting the bubble wrap and shipping box. You can easily work the tab out of the flap without any noticable damage to the cardboard. Can you really prove MISB? No one is going to know, so its all good!

It's totally the white landing gears isn't it? Totally changes how they look!

Well I got my KO Arcadia Hikaru VF-1S from ebay a few days ago. No premium finish. My finger tips hurt. While the wings and backpack flap are a tad looser than I would like, they are fine. The cockpit slide feels similar to Arcadia's. Everything else feels anywhere from a tad bit too tight to overly tight. The shoulders feel like they are close to snapping off if I move them too quickly. I use very slow deliberate movements. Even then, there be a lot of creaking noises that make me feel uncomfortable. The rear landing gears are difficult to extract with out my spudger. The tail fins are super stiff, but not as much as the shoulders are. The thigh and bicep pivot posts seem a tad larger than they should be and cause the bicep and upper thigh to have gaps that cannot close entirely. I initially thought that there was some plastic flash in there and took it apart to clean out, but they seem to fit together perfectly when not attached to anything. The worse offender is the gun-pod collapsible grip. I cannot pull it out by hand. I need to use pliers and a fat wad of napkins to yank it out. I've done this twice so far and I'm hoping that is has loosened enough to be done by hand, but as I have said earlier.... My finger tips hurt... Aside for all that, my copy seem to lock together pretty well. Almost as tight as the Arcadia. Well worth the $85 American I paid. Totally going to be a cubical toy. Now I just need to wait for the price of the super pack to drop. I really don't feel like paying the current $63 for it. I may bite at $50. Definitely will closer to $40.

Dr. Quiet Cat PhD. Cat Hoarding... Err... Valkyrie Collecting is not considered problematic unless it begins to interfere with normal everyday functions. If it is not effecting your hygiene, work, social or family life it is not considered a problem. -
Nice! Thanks guys. Now I just need to keep an eye out for a re-release or a used one at a decent price. At least it's a "nice to have" item and not a "need it".
