  1. Nebula Class XL where? I do have a issue with Star Trek Federation designs. Rather than making small variations in ships, the ship designers or people in charge seem happier Frankensteining ships together. It's one thing if your are cannibalizing parts from ship remains to repair/rebuild ships because you are in the middle of a war, but these "variants" seem way too lazy and unrealistic. Generally the variations we see the Nebula Class ships, to me, are more realistic. Maintenance would be a nightmare if not for replicator technology.

    Hi-Metal R

The Bridge detail alone would be a massive undertaking at HMR scale. Full Bridge crew with multiple levels and maybe Minmay performing. It would be a sight to see though.
  3. You could try to track down a used AnimEigo DVD version of it. I'm not sure what they go for now days.
  4. Excuse me sir, where can I find the bathroom?
  5. Interestingly, I got this: My seat gimmick assembly is just friction fit together. I can pull the entire thing apart. It disassembled itself when it came out of it's bag during shipping. I'm somewhat sure that most of my other Arcadia Valkyries have the correct neck filler plate, but i'm not 100% sure. No biggie though, I will most likely not use the part. Most of my Valkyries are in their boxes as I have very limited display space.
  6. I got into this hobby right before Delta aired. I really like Frontier. By the time I even considered getting a VF-25 they were like 8 years old and (arguably) not ageing well. The plastic failures worry me more than the yellowing. It's what kept me for hunting them down.
  7. I looked at that. It is my last resort before going to replacement parts. My major issue, as you all know, is that the part needs to widen to go back in place. Major stress on the re-bonded joint. My co-worker is a Machinist by hobby. He has milling machines, lathes, 3D printers, laser engravers, etc. Doesn't hurt to ask!
  8. Depending on what Tatsunoko decides to do late 2021 or early 2022, there is a possibility of reissues. As of now, no one knows what's going to happen. So buy now? Wait? You need to decide for yourself.
  9. True enough. It will function fine with a single support.
  10. T-REX's involvement in the design is comforting, but that also increases the cost. They really need to show us a prototype Tread to go with that Legioss. I'm sure that will push the total cost, for a set, well over 60,000 yen.
  11. I know it's not Anime accurate, but rather than double tail hooks, would't a single tail hook integrated into a forearm make more sense? Not sure how it would clear the gun pod though. Maybe a slider?
  12. Nice to see that their English site is back up. It was under "maintenance" for quite some time.
  13. No surprise, it split when I tried to push it on. I think I may have at least 3 options. 1) Coat the pin area in petroleum jelly and try to glue the part back together in place. 2) Ask my co-worker to 3D print me some replacements (maybe 10). 3) Try to find a parts Valkyrie.
  14. Usually within a day or less based on past experience.
  15. So I'm wondering if this is something that can legally be done for discussion's sake. When I was growing up I had a classmate up the street. On Halloween they would head out early in the evening, collect candy, sort out what they wanted to keep, and then hand out the remaining candy to visitors to their hours. Following the same train of thought: If a retailer "allowed" their employees to purchase items on pre-order from any retailer (including themselves), then open up later to the public. Once stock was exhausted, they then "allow" employees to re-sell their items on the company website for a percentage of their profits. Is this type of practice illegal? and if so what is it called?
  16. Tamiya Extra Thin Cement (Quick-Setting) (Acetone, Butyl Acetate, Methyl Ethyl Ketone) was in effective. Based on my research, that tells me that the plastic is not Polystyrene (PS), Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS), or Polyvinyl chloride (PVC). I just picked up a bottle of Plastruct Plastic Weld (Methylene Chloride (dichloromethane), Methyl Ethyl Ketone (MEK)). So far it seems to be working. I'll try to apply a bit of pressure on it in a few hours. If this fails, I'm moving on the the plastic specific super glues. Going to give it a full 24 hours to cure before I try to reattach it. You need to look really closely to see where it broke.
  17. Speaking of.... This happened. I've only transformed this twice! This is like my 6th HMR VF-1. I tried Tamiya Extra Thin Cement (Quick Setting). So far I've tried it three times and It dosen't seem to be holding. I'm reluctant to fool around with it more at the moment for fear of the part fully separating and then I'd have to deal with alignment issues. Is there a better product for the HMR plastic? Did I use the wrong type of Cement? I haven't done anything with plastic models in over 20 years!
  18. I agree. I would very much like to see it as I got into Macross collecting a year after Arcadia released their version of it. It would be nice if they also included parts to go between TV and Movie versions.
  19. Amazon America sent me a Takeya water flask in a padded envelope. It had a dent in it. I sent it back and they sent me a replacement, again, in a padded envelope! The 2nd one arrived with no dents.
  20. You could have an excessively long peg or the corresponding hole may have something in it that shouldn't be there. Those pegs weren't the easiest to line up for me at least.
  21. I'm not sure if I want to go with Amazon.co.jp and DHL in the future. I received my box a day early, but the was obviously dropped and/or crushed several times. The cardboard shipping box is very thin and the Valkyrie box is shrink-wrapped and glued to the bottom of the shipping box. The Valkyrie was fine, but I have box damage. Amazon also stuck a barcode sticker to my box. Fortunately, the barcode sticker pealed off easily. My box traveled excessively far. It went from Nagoya, to Ohio, to California, then way the hell back to my home on a "Rock in the middle of the Pacific." The VE-1 is lovely however.
  22. Packaged with both Roy and Hikaru? I think I need a CF VF-1A. There seems to be a brownie shortage.
  23. Views stolen by Facebook? Is that still something that's going on?
